be if you overcook them by like 30 seconds they turn into Moosh these are perfect they're a little bit alente it tastes more of salt than anything else it is like the most Normy of Norm that since Norm came to Norm toown this is just normal plain packaged Ramen Baseline it's a great place to start five how much sodium woo slurp carefully folks Top Ramen beef Edition the beefy sister to chicken distinctly beefier than the chicken one I have a feeling that Top Ramen is going to be pretty consistently scored it doesn't taste any better there's a possibility for it to score higher if it tastes better similar salinity pretty nondescript that's another five easy five top Ramen soy sauce which used to be known by another rather offensive name that shall not be named soy sauce oh that's better that outclasses the beef and the chicken by I'd say even a whole point is this vegetarian what's the deal where's the flavor come from just so soy sauuce I don't see any meat products in here so it's vegetarian which is pretty cool I thought this was going to be boring as hell that's a a delight it's wonderful but not enough to give it any more than a six six for Top Ramen soy sauce shrimp another flavor I've never tried because as a child I was terrified of all Seafood it's good I wouldn't say it tastes at all like shrimp is like a very minor Seafood Vibe almost like a like a Old Bay Vibe or something I think we're back in chicken beef territory yeah it's just too nondescript but it's still good so five another five easy chili chili chili chili chili who I've never tried this one before and it tastes just like chili powder like just straight up the chili powder there's something familiar in there it almost tastes like barbecue sauce a little bit the spiciness is fun but the flavor isn't quite right I can't say I'm a fan of that nice spice though that actually just bumped it up it was I was going to give it a four cuz I'm not crazy about the flavor but I sipped it and I got a little bit of that back of the neck hot like back here hot it cleared out my nostrils and I can breathe again so I think a 10 actually now no I'm going to it's five it's five yeah just tastes like the way your spice rack smells your spice rack smells bad why don't you come sniff my spice rack and find out next up we have Nissen tonkatsu and I'm delighted to see that there are sesame seeds in it and it has a genuinely cloudy broth and and it kind of smells like ton KATU a little little bit let's see what we're dealing with that's good it doesn't taste like real Tatu obviously it tastes primarily of Sesame like this mostly what I taste is sesame seed I don't remember ever having a bowl of Tatu Ramen with sesame seeds in it though I appreciate the Cloudy broth I appreciate there's little bits of fat swimming around on top and I appreciate the sesame seeds it's a step up from Top Ramen I like this one this gets a sip missen tonkatsu black garlic I am very interested to try this one I love the amount of fat that's dancing around the surface and that it's a different color almost resembling black garlic yeah that's the stuff that's where we're trying to go actually don't know if I like it any better than the regular Tatu cuz it's this the last that one tasted like sesame seeds this one tastes like black garlic and Tatu a little bit um but it's good I really like it I think uh it's probably going to tie up it's good for different reasons so it's going to tie up for seven show you Tatu Tatu with the benefit of show you huh this is a surprisingly strong Bonito flavor for a mainstream you can just buy it on the Shelf without license or permit it's very very Bonito e which is nice if you if you like Bonito that's that's cool um I'm pretty ambivalent is that the right word ambivalent means uncaring towards I'm a bit ambivalent towards Bonito uh I like it when it's there but not when it's the star of the show frankly and uh not as heavy on the Tatu as I would I would like the Bro broth isn't very cloudy it's better than like your your your standard issue package Ramen so six for that all right show you let me show you a thing or two you're you're on a different R yeah no it's me so now oh that's nice it's a little neutral I would say like I can't point to distinct flavor it's like nicely balanced flavors definitely made with red miso which is gives it a nice look definitely less flavorful than the other three it's a little bit more neutral but the flavor is really nice there's a tiny bit of heat to it there's nice red oil floating on top from the red miso it's not blowing me away so I'm reticent to give it a anything like a seven so I think I'll be giving it a six next up Ramen artificial chicken flavor and in other news ah there's chicken in there there's actual chicken in the dried Ramen that can't be good that's got to be gross right has to be I'm going to try some on that own that's so gross took like five chews to get that swallowable I'm going to dodge that like the plague this has a much better chicken flavor it tastes like actual chicken kind of still has that lipin you know artificial chicken flavor to it the noodles have a nicer texture too I want to give it a seven I would give it a seven if it weren't for those horrifying pieces of chicken that are just so so so terrible to have to look at and so awful to have to bite I don't want them I'll be I'll be benevolent and give it a six update Nico was good enough to check the ingredients list of this particular Ramen and discovered that those chicken looking bits were not chicken we think they're mushrooms which frankly makes me hate them a lot less because chicken having that texture was unacceptable mushrooms having that texture is just fine um so I'm going to bump it back up to a s so now we have veggie Ramen and I see water chestnut maybe that's mushroom 2 I don't know it looks kind of like water chestnut it is delightfully Laden with actual vegetables for a uh packaged Ramen product which is pretty impressive I got to say Mushrooms in this one are even chewier but very flavorful little tiny bit of spice to it yeah oh decent amount of spice it doesn't even say spicy on this but I just felt that in my body this is good I'm going to put it in the same league as the chicken seven a gain for Jin Ramen veggie Jin Ramen spicy the only flavor is spicy I swp too fast don't do that at home it is just the spiciest one I've had so far today flavor's no good it's way saltier than the other ones and we're cooking these according to package directions so that shouldn't be a problem it is good and spicy though it is that when I sip the broth it's actually hitting me that's good does that get it a point because it's spicy no it's the same flavor spice isn't like an Accolade it's just a a feature no definition by any metric that needs to be a five okay we're into saporo territory shrimp flavored let's see if it's any better than top that was what we did right top n n kid that ain't it you don't got it you're never going to make it in this business that tastes like salt p chemicals some kind of vague notion of seafood and more salt the noodles also are not really great texture cuz they're I feel like they're smaller like they're they're thinner oh yeah that flavor is just it's sitting with me saporo Ichibon shrimp flavor is a three we're on to saporo Ichibon beef flavored Noodle and soup this has a a very ground Bray ground Bray is what I just said did you hear that is that on the record this has a very brown gray vibe to it I feel like when beef flavored things at this level get processed down to a certain point tastes meaty and kind of rich but that could be mushroom for all I know that could be anything salty and safer that's that's that should be the the name of this flavor it's also too salty it's way too salty it is better than the seafood though because it doesn't taste like it's trying to to clean my insides abrasive chemicals so that gets it a four what are we working with here chicken flavored this is interesting because it is green folks there's no other way to put this this is a distinctly green soup I don't know if they put it in a green package to make it a little less off-putting but this chicken ramen is green as long as we have that on the record we can move forward same problem with the noodles they're too small they're either overcooked or undercooked another very very nondescript broth mostly salty this guy's down into the three Zone because we're back into unpleasant territory with the shrimp it was the flavor now with this it's the appearance it is green thankfully the last saporo ichib bun the original flavor what the hell is that wow okay so it's chck chicken beef and soy sauce actually sounds pretty promising the colors of saporo Ichiban are are are are destitute like this is just so Brown it's not again as offensively bad as the uh shrimp nor as ugly as the chicken so that's a four easy four next up we have saporo Ichiban I thought we were done but this appears to be a different make and model this is what miso Ramen okay I mean it does taste distinctly of miso it's very very miso forward which that's great I I really care for that if I'm being honest the noodles I think are a little too skinny and therefore these ones are slightly undercooked it does taste like me so I'm going to give it a five saporo Ichiban shio Ramen which if I'm not not mistaken means salt it tastes like the cheapest chicken flavor that's incredible that I don't taste more Sesame considering it came with ground sesame seeds that Tatu that didn't even say the word Sesame was more Sesame than this sesame yeah it's not disgusting me but it's also not doing anything for me I think that's a four territory okay next up we have Shin noodles Gourmet spicy flavor Nico tells me that this one is universally beloved so it's a 10 I haven't tried it yet but it's a 10 okay I swear I'm not being as sick a fat those are the best noodles of the day they have a really nice like bouncy chew to them it's a really dig spiciness is there it's definitely in the broth doesn't really taste like much mostly tastes like spicy um there's a Savory element to it but I can't put a finger on like a flavor um but the noodles are really what's doing it for me the noodles are noodles are a 10 and the broth is like a like a six so yeah seven feels just about right Ram yum come on oh Shin black so this is their premium line because it says premium ooh ooh o oo it's spicy but not over whelmingly so or even very much at all it's just a little spicy which I appreciate I'm not trying to melt my buds off distinct mushroomy flavor more so than the last ones um is this not tonkatsu no it's just beef bone broth but it's nice and cloudy like tonkatsu I mean it's delicious it's really tasty the broth is very very tasty do you deserve an eight I don't know this is pretty damn good so eight big throbbing eight m now we're in the Maruchan territory and we have soy sauce flavor this earned a solitary six for the top Ramen which is I would say matuch Chan's top competitor in that I thought they were the same thing it's pretty pretty fle pretty meh pretty whatever it's like identical I think I I don't have the top in front of me but it's like identical it does have a slightly better flavor but I do feel like the noodles are worse so six Maruchan chicken flavor in a beguiling blue package Top Ramen I think had better noodles exactly the same broth like that is precisely the same I don't much care for this I'm going to put this down out a four Maran shrimp better than the top Ramen one flavor wise it doesn't have that weird chemical taste to it that I don't care for much but it certainly does not taste like shrimp not a big fan of them of the mochan noodles they're not chew they're they're bouncy which is not so great undercooked their their bouncy overcooked their mush I wouldn't say it's worse than the chicken it just doesn't taste like shrimp but it doesn't taste worse than the chicken so it's also going to be a four L Chan roast beef specifically roast beef not just beef they went and roasted it very neutral flavor I can't tell if it's me or it is it me or is it it it is of a lower quality than the than the last two mochan it's just so criminally boring barely tastes like beef kind of like I could take a little bit more salt I could take it I could take a little more salt I'm inclined to give it a three no it's not that bad come on Andy be reasonable four it's a four it's another four maruch Chan's chili Ramen let's see if this is any better a chili Ramen than the top Ramen chili Ramen okay I mean all right no that is better it doesn't just taste like straight up chili powder I definitely taste that and it is decently spicy and it just tastes sort of normal and savory otherwise but still got those crappy mchan noodles so I think that still puts it at a four everybody in the front two rows put on your ponchos cuz things are about to get creamy well it's not very creamy if you made this with less water it would actually be creamy I assume they were going for maybe like more of a Tatu thing cuz it is cloudy but the word creamy does not come to mind when I eat this it tastes chickeny it actually tastes like chicken a little bit not like lipped in soup dust this is definitely A Cut Above for M Chan so they're going to get a five for this one a rare five oh wait one of them got a six soy sauuce no it gets a six gets this gets six gets six oh my this smells awesome the noodles look great most Ramen like noodles that I've had thus far like real like real Ramen you know like real Ramen flavor is really strong yeah it tastes super rich in mouth coating just like a real Tatu is that what this is Tatu just tonkatsu flavor and it's the closest I've had to tonkatsu actual Tatu tonkatsu so far today it's still not obviously the legitimate article but that this came out of a bag is frankly pretty great eight non fried show you Ramen most ramen noodles are fried at the factory so that they cook faster when you get them if I'm not mistaken probably hey Andrew yeah um could you show me Ramen instead I'm going to show you the door your FR show you I'm going to show you br look at what you've done i' I'm sighing so much from what you said that I I I keep blowing it I keep sighing okay whoa yeah the noodles taste distinctly different and the noodles are almost too eggy like that's really all I taste yeah it's like really distinctly eggy and the broth is really whatever um so unfortunately I mean there's not much I like about this I think I got a there's not much I hate about it I think it gets it a four if the noodles were a little less eggy I'd give it a five but it's a four we have here the first healthy Ramen of the day this is both vegan and high protein it's probably going to be delicious those noodles are upsetting very bad texture bad flavor and the broth is at best okay but these noodles are gross they have an off flavor to them presumably because they're just made of vegan protein powder um and the texture is horrendous like like they almost feel like sandpaper going across my tongue when before I chew them like I'd rather just eat a bowl of plain lentils than these noodles they're so gnarly the black garlic is very nice the the the broth it doesn't taste bad the broth is good I would put the broth at like a six but the noodles are like a two so that's a four that's a four next up oh we're back in sapoto Ichiban territory white chicken broth okay so this is saporo ichiban's first foray into the tonkatsu world tonkotsu I keep saying tonkatsu which is different the I would have guessed this was sh Ramen white chicken broth yeah it just really just tastes like salt it's good it's not bad broth is good I mean it's not good it's not bad it's just it's F it's fine it's five it's five just it's fine all right from the creator of Mike's lemonade and Mike's hot honey I assume Mike's mighty good craft Ramen craft Ramen for a new generation I already don't like this these noodles feel Mighty stiff Mike um and also I've been informed by Tony that this came with a separate oil packet so do what you want with that these noodles stick together I think causing them to be undercooked the broth is the first one that tastes like actual chicken like that tastes like a human chicken I mean it's um a chicken a normal chicken tastes like I just grabbed one and I just and it's the chicken okay I just got some fully cooked noodles and they're not very good they don't have a great texture once they're cooked and they're undercooked I almost like them better but I'm weird like that or like undercooked pasta I'm weird I'm not like other guys with the noodles at let's say a four and the broth at like a nine seven that's a seven lemonade honey Ramen you are Conquering the worlds of stuff whatever those are together even more realistic ramen noodles than I've seen in as many days they're very thin so I'm curious to see about their dness Hakata style thin straight noodles including original spicy red seasoning is there was there a red seasoning there we go this is I mean already I'm not going to lie to you I'm not going to lie for once in my life I'm not going to lie to you already this is at like a hard seven soft eight oh oh baby oh baby mother mother father and and brother that's good it's it's very distinctly meaty the noodles have a really great texture in spite of how thin they are they have a very nice texture that spicy stuff not my favorite spicy flavor in the world it kind of tastes like like Cayenne which is just a very abrasive kind of kind of pointed spicy it's really good the broth is so flavorful I I think this gets a nine this is my top pick so far this is fantastic from none other than Masaharu Morimoto friend of the show and hair looking great nowadays how is how does he do it so this is the atome version of the man's restaurant-based Ramen distinctly Porky flavor not that I should have to check the packet but really nice pork frontal flavor there is Sesame there's sesame seeds in it but it's not overwhelming everything else it's just a nice present flavor the noodles have a really great texture they're nice and thin but they're wavy kind of like you know you know like Ramen oh that's good that's good I wish it had spice to it but you could put some spicy in there just do just do it yourself don't make this man do you have any idea how busy he is you're asking him to make your soup spicy I didn't want to hit him that doesn't make any sense it's very good it's a nine it's fantastic package Ramen got to say and I'm saying it chicken noodle soup Prince catsu chicken noodle soup is here to warm your soul with its irresistible blend of artificial chicken with its irresistible blend of artificial chicken and delectable mushroom flavors that's really funny irresistible blend of artificial chicken if people weren't watching I would have picked that up off the floor licked it clean thrown it back on the floor licked to clean again and then continued shooting wonder what happens with mushrooms sometimes particularly processed mushrooms where they take on this bleachy kind of quality to it like this cleaning solution of some kind this pet safe cleaning formula and the noodles are so tiny they're they're horribly not very good and the broth just tastes like salt and irresistible blend of artificial chicken and delectable mushroom is it the worst of the day I think so two time you two time and son of a gun restaurant style Ramen tonkatsu taste product of Japan authentic Ramen soup that actually smells like tonkatsu like actual tonkatsu Ramen like it actually smells like the the stuff noodles are nice the broth tastes the closest I've had thus far to actual Tatu like you know boiled pork Hawks that being said there is some funky taste in there that I cannot identify it might even just be a Feeling Can You Feel the flavor I think it's the noodles that has the strange flavor yeah it's the noodles I just have to D it a little bit for this this ineffable quality that I can't put my finger on so that'll knock it down from what I would normally give an eight to a seven this is a s they do have a whole story in the back Andrew tell us a story won't you once upon a time there lived a little Ramen and he was different from all the other Robin in the village tofu miso heirloom grains vegan it's time to liberate your senses is what it says you know what guys it's time it's about time it's time to liberate your senses these noodles are startlingly upsettingly white oh it says heirloom grains organic noodles ingredients flour salt what are you talking about liars oh yeah and the baroth Very nondescript I don't hate it I'm not mad at it but uh I I I don't like it either and I wish it would go away four this one is from itsuki you get a free animal with this oh yeah mhm mhm mhm broth is okay noodles are very very good it is like a Soo flavor but like the richness and the the mouth coating of it is very very nice heck of a lot better than anything comes out of a packet I'll tell you that much except this came out of a packet but this gets an eight what animal did you get uh I don't know it comes in 11 to 75 weeks next up we have the next Ramen from ituki this time it's a miso tonkatsu taste distinctly of miso uh and the ramens are similar quality um I believe I gave this La the last one an eight I don't see how this deserves any less I guess the broth is not as flavorful it really only tasted Mis so the other one was cuu uh and it had a richer more interesting flavor and this one's a little bit more one note but it's still quite good so seven this is my first bul deck right Against All Odds this bright red bowl of ramen noodles in broth is Carbonara it looks Del I bet it's going to be really good actually like this strikes me is going to be very tasty oo spicy you know like carbar spicy tastes absolutely nothing like carb but it does taste really really quite good I'm not judging it on what they call it I'm judging it on what it tastes like and looks fascin just completely beguiling I've I've never heard or seen of anything quite like this in my life I love these noodles they're super thick and wavy so they get they have a really nice chew to them there's no bacon in it there's no Pig there no egg nothing of a carbonara lives in this in this bag not not a not a trace it's not carbonara it is not stir fried it's only bulac that's the only thing accurate thing on here I'm not going to rate it as a carbonara I'm going to be kind because it would get a zero or one because it at least has noodles in it it's really good so I think that gets it an eight bulak habanero lime sounds good wow distinctly spicy the lime's in there it's like lime flavor though you know it's like lime powder I would love for it to be limier like I want to squeeze a lime in here cuz it would really brighten and freshen things up the lime is not prevalent enough here's the thing though tastes distinctly of cilantro I could have sworn I tasted cilantro cinnamon I swear to God there's cilantro in there I know it it's quite good the noodles are fantastic they got the some of the best noodles in the business uh the broth is really so so just good and spicy I respect how spicy it is so seven okay now we can do that that one ramen from what was it called um the school anime the one something school Hitman assassin assassination classroom and a gun oh God if that gets in your eyes it's going to oh God bulak double spicy it looks very spicy it looks angry I'm not the strongest guy with spice in the world if that's your double spicy that don't impress me much you know you you've got the moves but have you got the touch don't get me wrong I think I think it's all right but that's not going to keep me warm in the middle of a long cold lonely night spoken spoken words N twn no it's wow that it let me get that bit out and then it just was like you know what you yeah that moves oh that oh that would keep me warm in the long midle of a long cold lonely I'm sweating I'm sweating it's good and spicy it is properly spicy uh I love the inclusion of the sesame seeds and seaweed noodles are still great broth is so spicy I can't really tell what flavor it is assume chicken yeah chicken you you could have fooled me because all I taste is hot maybe you should taste it again oh really brat surely you must be joking oh yeah I thought it was over the Brad just keeps pulling me back in hot if you really like spicy food I would give it a straight up 10 nine nicely done uh next up we have bulak jahang which I assume is their Jang Mong I'm going off memory because I can barely taste it my taste buds have been singed straight off Brad well it's rather a refreshing pal pallet cleanser after that double spice ah it's it's really good so uh freaking you know eight sure it's an eight fine bulck kimchi artificially spicy Ramen I am feeling a little loopy okay kimchi nothing compared to the double spicy but like pretty spicy this also tastes distinctly of kimchi and has little bits of kimchi in it no less picking all the pieces off my my Choppers it's kimchi and it's noodles and it's good and I like it you can't trust any ratings that I'm giving from this point on I have be I am become Delirious Destroyer Ramen scores it's a nine everything's a nine everyone's a nine everything AES you're a nine you're a nine bulc Curry all these are spicy do they make a not spicy and they these this smells like Curry it sure does you know bulac actually means spicy in um good save bread okay here we go I rather like that one arold it's Curry it's noodles and it's pretty good so I don't know an eight I love these noodles their noodles are so good and the sauce is good it's different and curious so am I yeah that's the stuff it's an eight here you go it's an eight next up a true curiosity bulak Quattro cheese that's right folks it's a Korean noodle with Mexican cheese Mozzarella cheder gouda cam bear I cam bear it and I'm very excited to see what cheesy Ramen tastes like oh that's good that's good I like that I don't care I don't even care I like it it's distinctly cheesy it is righteously spicy just like all their other products cuz apparently bulac means fire chicken it's a more real cheese flavor than you get in most boxed Mac and cheeses it tastes like cheese and it's spicy and it's noodles I love it I love it it's a nine Quattro cheese all day last one folks and we saved the wackiest for last tomato pasta it is still spicy chicken flavor Ramen but with a little Italian secret come on I smell basil there's little bits of green in there what's the green I can smell basil and there's picture of it on the bag but it's not in the ingredients list so you know me tomato pasta ooh ooh things have taken a turn oh that's gnarly I don't care for that at all it's like you took the Tom the tombstone sauce packet out of a lunch bowl and squeezed it into some spicy chicken ramen that's what we ended up with here the the the sauce is super fake tasting it tastes very artificial I can't say I care for it uh they still have the great noodles obviously I can see it there's little bits of green I can taste it that's another problem is dried basil tastes like fish food this is going to be the rare bulck that doesn't bull enough Dack what you heard me you have headphones on that are connected to a microphone under my mouth you know what I said Brad I right it was more like a I don't understand dad get you in the face I'm sorry it's a five well there you have it folks nines more nines than well I've ever seen I'm drunk on spice right now I I my brain isn't working these are all exemplary packaged ramens uh you cannot do much better for a meal that comes out of a bag in the form of a brick in fact there's no other foods like that bulak has some amazing noodles they're thick and chewy and bouncy and wonderful their sauces were super flavorful and properly spicy and the squat cheese one is the stoniest most most demented thing I've ever seen in my and it's so good I really love it so these are if you're looking to have a good time and you're young enough to eat these kind of spicy stuff and not pay for it for the rest of your life this is if you are you're in a Mrs Doubtfire situation and the family's coming home for dinner and you didn't prepare anything or you you burned your fake boobs and you need something really good on the table really fast that's what mahur Morimoto is here for and then uh the ity run I genuinely don't even remember what it tastes like at this point but it was good so just it's good very good I think we have a really exemplary set of said Ramen pictured this not you know Ramen this is a tangent I didn't need to go on I'm going to have another bite of this the noodles are not like terrible like they sometimes can be if you overcook them by like 30 seconds they turn into Moosh these are perfect they're a little bit alente it tastes more of salt than anything else it is like the most Normy of Norm that since Norm came to Norm toown this is just normal plain packaged Ramen Baseline it's a great place to start five how much sodium woo slurp carefully folks Top Ramen beef Edition the beefy sister to chicken distinctly beefier than the chicken one I have a feeling that Top Ramen is going to be pretty consistently scored it doesn't taste any better there's a possibility for it to score higher if it tastes better similar salinity pretty nondescript that's another five easy five top Ramen soy sauce which used to be known by another rather offensive name that shall not be named soy sauce oh that's better that outclasses the beef and the chicken by I'd say even a whole point is this vegetarian what's the deal where's the flavor come from just so soy sauuce I don't see any meat products in here so it's vegetarian which is pretty cool I thought this was going to be boring as hell that's a a delight it's wonderful but not enough to give it any more than a six six for Top Ramen soy sauce shrimp another flavor I've never tried because as a child I was terrified of all Seafood it's good I wouldn't say it tastes at all like shrimp is like a very minor Seafood Vibe almost like a like a Old Bay Vibe or something I think we're back in chicken beef territory yeah it's just too nondescript but it's still good so five another five easy chili chili chili chili chili who I've never tried this one before and it tastes just like chili powder like just straight up the chili powder there's something familiar in there it almost tastes like barbecue sauce a little bit the spiciness is fun but the flavor isn't quite right I can't say I'm a fan of that nice spice though that actually just bumped it up it was I was going to give it a four cuz I'm not crazy about the flavor but I sipped it and I got a little bit of that back of the neck hot like back here hot it cleared out my nostrils and I can breathe again so I think a 10 actually now no I'm going to it's five it's five yeah just tastes like the way your spice rack smells your spice rack smells bad why don't you come sniff my spice rack and find out next up we have Nissen tonkatsu and I'm delighted to see that there are sesame seeds in it and it has a genuinely cloudy broth and and it kind of smells like ton KATU a little little bit let's see what we're dealing with that's good it doesn't taste like real Tatu obviously it tastes primarily of Sesame like this mostly what I taste is sesame seed I don't remember ever having a bowl of Tatu Ramen with sesame seeds in it though I appreciate the Cloudy broth I appreciate there's little bits of fat swimming around on top and I appreciate the sesame seeds it's a step up from Top Ramen I like this one this gets a sip missen tonkatsu black garlic I am very interested to try this one I love the amount of fat that's dancing around the surface and that it's a different color almost resembling black garlic yeah that's the stuff that's where we're trying to go actually don't know if I like it any better than the regular Tatu cuz it's this the last that one tasted like sesame seeds this one tastes like black garlic and Tatu a little bit um but it's good I really like it I think uh it's probably going to tie up it's good for different reasons so it's going to tie up for seven show you Tatu Tatu with the benefit of show you huh this is a surprisingly strong Bonito flavor for a mainstream you can just buy it on the Shelf without license or permit it's very very Bonito e which is nice if you if you like Bonito that's that's cool um I'm pretty ambivalent is that the right word ambivalent means uncaring towards I'm a bit ambivalent towards Bonito uh I like it when it's there but not when it's the star of the show frankly and uh not as heavy on the Tatu as I would I would like the Bro broth isn't very cloudy it's better than like your your your standard issue package Ramen so six for that all right show you let me show you a thing or two you're you're on a different R yeah no it's me so now oh that's nice it's a little neutral I would say like I can't point to distinct flavor it's like nicely balanced flavors definitely made with red miso which is gives it a nice look definitely less flavorful than the other three it's a little bit more neutral but the flavor is really nice there's a tiny bit of heat to it there's nice red oil floating on top from the red miso it's not blowing me away so I'm reticent to give it a anything like a seven so I think I'll be giving it a six next up Ramen artificial chicken flavor and in other news ah there's chicken in there there's actual chicken in the dried Ramen that can't be good that's got to be gross right has to be I'm going to try some on that own that's so gross took like five chews to get that swallowable I'm going to dodge that like the plague this has a much better chicken flavor it tastes like actual chicken kind of still has that lipin you know artificial chicken flavor to it the noodles have a nicer texture too I want to give it a seven I would give it a seven if it weren't for those horrifying pieces of chicken that are just so so so terrible to have to look at and so awful to have to bite I don't want them I'll be I'll be benevolent and give it a six update Nico was good enough to check the ingredients list of this particular Ramen and discovered that those chicken looking bits were not chicken we think they're mushrooms which frankly makes me hate them a lot less because chicken having that texture was unacceptable mushrooms having that texture is just fine um so I'm going to bump it back up to a s so now we have veggie Ramen and I see water chestnut maybe that's mushroom 2 I don't know it looks kind of like water chestnut it is delightfully Laden with actual vegetables for a uh packaged Ramen product which is pretty impressive I got to say Mushrooms in this one are even chewier but very flavorful little tiny bit of spice to it yeah oh decent amount of spice it doesn't even say spicy on this but I just felt that in my body this is good I'm going to put it in the same league as the chicken seven a gain for Jin Ramen veggie Jin Ramen spicy the only flavor is spicy I swp too fast don't do that at home it is just the spiciest one I've had so far today flavor's no good it's way saltier than the other ones and we're cooking these according to package directions so that shouldn't be a problem it is good and spicy though it is that when I sip the broth it's actually hitting me that's good does that get it a point because it's spicy no it's the same flavor spice isn't like an Accolade it's just a a feature no definition by any metric that needs to be a five okay we're into saporo territory shrimp flavored let's see if it's any better than top that was what we did right top n n kid that ain't it you don't got it you're never going to make it in this business that tastes like salt p chemicals some kind of vague notion of seafood and more salt the noodles also are not really great texture cuz they're I feel like they're smaller like they're they're thinner oh yeah that flavor is just it's sitting with me saporo Ichibon shrimp flavor is a three we're on to saporo Ichibon beef flavored Noodle and soup this has a a very ground Bray ground Bray is what I just said did you hear that is that on the record this has a very brown gray vibe to it I feel like when beef flavored things at this level get processed down to a certain point tastes meaty and kind of rich but that could be mushroom for all I know that could be anything salty and safer that's that's that should be the the name of this flavor it's also too salty it's way too salty it is better than the seafood though because it doesn't taste like it's trying to to clean my insides abrasive chemicals so that gets it a four what are we working with here chicken flavored this is interesting because it is green folks there's no other way to put this this is a distinctly green soup I don't know if they put it in a green package to make it a little less off-putting but this chicken ramen is green as long as we have that on the record we can move forward same problem with the noodles they're too small they're either overcooked or undercooked another very very nondescript broth mostly salty this guy's down into the three Zone because we're back into unpleasant territory with the shrimp it was the flavor now with this it's the appearance it is green thankfully the last saporo ichib bun the original flavor what the hell is that wow okay so it's chck chicken beef and soy sauce actually sounds pretty promising the colors of saporo Ichiban are are are are destitute like this is just so Brown it's not again as offensively bad as the uh shrimp nor as ugly as the chicken so that's a four easy four next up we have saporo Ichiban I thought we were done but this appears to be a different make and model this is what miso Ramen okay I mean it does taste distinctly of miso it's very very miso forward which that's great I I really care for that if I'm being honest the noodles I think are a little too skinny and therefore these ones are slightly undercooked it does taste like me so I'm going to give it a five saporo Ichiban shio Ramen which if I'm not not mistaken means salt it tastes like the cheapest chicken flavor that's incredible that I don't taste more Sesame considering it came with ground sesame seeds that Tatu that didn't even say the word Sesame was more Sesame than this sesame yeah it's not disgusting me but it's also not doing anything for me I think that's a four territory okay next up we have Shin noodles Gourmet spicy flavor Nico tells me that this one is universally beloved so it's a 10 I haven't tried it yet but it's a 10 okay I swear I'm not being as sick a fat those are the best noodles of the day they have a really nice like bouncy chew to them it's a really dig spiciness is there it's definitely in the broth doesn't really taste like much mostly tastes like spicy um there's a Savory element to it but I can't put a finger on like a flavor um but the noodles are really what's doing it for me the noodles are noodles are a 10 and the broth is like a like a six so yeah seven feels just about right Ram yum come on oh Shin black so this is their premium line because it says premium ooh ooh o oo it's spicy but not over whelmingly so or even very much at all it's just a little spicy which I appreciate I'm not trying to melt my buds off distinct mushroomy flavor more so than the last ones um is this not tonkatsu no it's just beef bone broth but it's nice and cloudy like tonkatsu I mean it's delicious it's really tasty the broth is very very tasty do you deserve an eight I don't know this is pretty damn good so eight big throbbing eight m now we're in the Maruchan territory and we have soy sauce flavor this earned a solitary six for the top Ramen which is I would say matuch Chan's top competitor in that I thought they were the same thing it's pretty pretty fle pretty meh pretty whatever it's like identical I think I I don't have the top in front of me but it's like identical it does have a slightly better flavor but I do feel like the noodles are worse so six Maruchan chicken flavor in a beguiling blue package Top Ramen I think had better noodles exactly the same broth like that is precisely the same I don't much care for this I'm going to put this down out a four Maran shrimp better than the top Ramen one flavor wise it doesn't have that weird chemical taste to it that I don't care for much but it certainly does not taste like shrimp not a big fan of them of the mochan noodles they're not chew they're they're bouncy which is not so great undercooked their their bouncy overcooked their mush I wouldn't say it's worse than the chicken it just doesn't taste like shrimp but it doesn't taste worse than the chicken so it's also going to be a four L Chan roast beef specifically roast beef not just beef they went and roasted it very neutral flavor I can't tell if it's me or it is it me or is it it it is of a lower quality than the than the last two mochan it's just so criminally boring barely tastes like beef kind of like I could take a little bit more salt I could take it I could take a little more salt I'm inclined to give it a three no it's not that bad come on Andy be reasonable four it's a four it's another four maruch Chan's chili Ramen let's see if this is any better a chili Ramen than the top Ramen chili Ramen okay I mean all right no that is better it doesn't just taste like straight up chili powder I definitely taste that and it is decently spicy and it just tastes sort of normal and savory otherwise but still got those crappy mchan noodles so I think that still puts it at a four everybody in the front two rows put on your ponchos cuz things are about to get creamy well it's not very creamy if you made this with less water it would actually be creamy I assume they were going for maybe like more of a Tatu thing cuz it is cloudy but the word creamy does not come to mind when I eat this it tastes chickeny it actually tastes like chicken a little bit not like lipped in soup dust this is definitely A Cut Above for M Chan so they're going to get a five for this one a rare five oh wait one of them got a six soy sauuce no it gets a six gets this gets six gets six oh my this smells awesome the noodles look great most Ramen like noodles that I've had thus far like real like real Ramen you know like real Ramen flavor is really strong yeah it tastes super rich in mouth coating just like a real Tatu is that what this is Tatu just tonkatsu flavor and it's the closest I've had to tonkatsu actual Tatu tonkatsu so far today it's still not obviously the legitimate article but that this came out of a bag is frankly pretty great eight non fried show you Ramen most ramen noodles are fried at the factory so that they cook faster when you get them if I'm not mistaken probably hey Andrew yeah um could you show me Ramen instead I'm going to show you the door your FR show you I'm going to show you br look at what you've done i' I'm sighing so much from what you said that I I I keep blowing it I keep sighing okay whoa yeah the noodles taste distinctly different and the noodles are almost too eggy like that's really all I taste yeah it's like really distinctly eggy and the broth is really whatever um so unfortunately I mean there's not much I like about this I think I got a there's not much I hate about it I think it gets it a four if the noodles were a little less eggy I'd give it a five but it's a four we have here the first healthy Ramen of the day this is both vegan and high protein it's probably going to be delicious those noodles are upsetting very bad texture bad flavor and the broth is at best okay but these noodles are gross they have an off flavor to them presumably because they're just made of vegan protein powder um and the texture is horrendous like like they almost feel like sandpaper going across my tongue when before I chew them like I'd rather just eat a bowl of plain lentils than these noodles they're so gnarly the black garlic is very nice the the the broth it doesn't taste bad the broth is good I would put the broth at like a six but the noodles are like a two so that's a four that's a four next up oh we're back in sapoto Ichiban territory white chicken broth okay so this is saporo ichiban's first foray into the tonkatsu world tonkotsu I keep saying tonkatsu which is different the I would have guessed this was sh Ramen white chicken broth yeah it just really just tastes like salt it's good it's not bad broth is good I mean it's not good it's not bad it's just it's F it's fine it's five it's five just it's fine all right from the creator of Mike's lemonade and Mike's hot honey I assume Mike's mighty good craft Ramen craft Ramen for a new generation I already don't like this these noodles feel Mighty stiff Mike um and also I've been informed by Tony that this came with a separate oil packet so do what you want with that these noodles stick together I think causing them to be undercooked the broth is the first one that tastes like actual chicken like that tastes like a human chicken I mean it's um a chicken a normal chicken tastes like I just grabbed one and I just and it's the chicken okay I just got some fully cooked noodles and they're not very good they don't have a great texture once they're cooked and they're undercooked I almost like them better but I'm weird like that or like undercooked pasta I'm weird I'm not like other guys with the noodles at let's say a four and the broth at like a nine seven that's a seven lemonade honey Ramen you are Conquering the worlds of stuff whatever those are together even more realistic ramen noodles than I've seen in as many days they're very thin so I'm curious to see about their dness Hakata style thin straight noodles including original spicy red seasoning is there was there a red seasoning there we go this is I mean already I'm not going to lie to you I'm not going to lie for once in my life I'm not going to lie to you already this is at like a hard seven soft eight oh oh baby oh baby mother mother father and and brother that's good it's it's very distinctly meaty the noodles have a really great texture in spite of how thin they are they have a very nice texture that spicy stuff not my favorite spicy flavor in the world it kind of tastes like like Cayenne which is just a very abrasive kind of kind of pointed spicy it's really good the broth is so flavorful I I think this gets a nine this is my top pick so far this is fantastic from none other than Masaharu Morimoto friend of the show and hair looking great nowadays how is how does he do it so this is the atome version of the man's restaurant-based Ramen distinctly Porky flavor not that I should have to check the packet but really nice pork frontal flavor there is Sesame there's sesame seeds in it but it's not overwhelming everything else it's just a nice present flavor the noodles have a really great texture they're nice and thin but they're wavy kind of like you know you know like Ramen oh that's good that's good I wish it had spice to it but you could put some spicy in there just do just do it yourself don't make this man do you have any idea how busy he is you're asking him to make your soup spicy I didn't want to hit him that doesn't make any sense it's very good it's a nine it's fantastic package Ramen got to say and I'm saying it chicken noodle soup Prince catsu chicken noodle soup is here to warm your soul with its irresistible blend of artificial chicken with its irresistible blend of artificial chicken and delectable mushroom flavors that's really funny irresistible blend of artificial chicken if people weren't watching I would have picked that up off the floor licked it clean thrown it back on the floor licked to clean again and then continued shooting wonder what happens with mushrooms sometimes particularly processed mushrooms where they take on this bleachy kind of quality to it like this cleaning solution of some kind this pet safe cleaning formula and the noodles are so tiny they're they're horribly not very good and the broth just tastes like salt and irresistible blend of artificial chicken and delectable mushroom is it the worst of the day I think so two time you two time and son of a gun restaurant style Ramen tonkatsu taste product of Japan authentic Ramen soup that actually smells like tonkatsu like actual tonkatsu Ramen like it actually smells like the the stuff noodles are nice the broth tastes the closest I've had thus far to actual Tatu like you know boiled pork Hawks that being said there is some funky taste in there that I cannot identify it might even just be a Feeling Can You Feel the flavor I think it's the noodles that has the strange flavor yeah it's the noodles I just have to D it a little bit for this this ineffable quality that I can't put my finger on so that'll knock it down from what I would normally give an eight to a seven this is a s they do have a whole story in the back Andrew tell us a story won't you once upon a time there lived a little Ramen and he was different from all the other Robin in the village tofu miso heirloom grains vegan it's time to liberate your senses is what it says you know what guys it's time it's about time it's time to liberate your senses these noodles are startlingly upsettingly white oh it says heirloom grains organic noodles ingredients flour salt what are you talking about liars oh yeah and the baroth Very nondescript I don't hate it I'm not mad at it but uh I I I don't like it either and I wish it would go away four this one is from itsuki you get a free animal with this oh yeah mhm mhm mhm broth is okay noodles are very very good it is like a Soo flavor but like the richness and the the mouth coating of it is very very nice heck of a lot better than anything comes out of a packet I'll tell you that much except this came out of a packet but this gets an eight what animal did you get uh I don't know it comes in 11 to 75 weeks next up we have the next Ramen from ituki this time it's a miso tonkatsu taste distinctly of miso uh and the ramens are similar quality um I believe I gave this La the last one an eight I don't see how this deserves any less I guess the broth is not as flavorful it really only tasted Mis so the other one was cuu uh and it had a richer more interesting flavor and this one's a little bit more one note but it's still quite good so seven this is my first bul deck right Against All Odds this bright red bowl of ramen noodles in broth is Carbonara it looks Del I bet it's going to be really good actually like this strikes me is going to be very tasty oo spicy you know like carbar spicy tastes absolutely nothing like carb but it does taste really really quite good I'm not judging it on what they call it I'm judging it on what it tastes like and looks fascin just completely beguiling I've I've never heard or seen of anything quite like this in my life I love these noodles they're super thick and wavy so they get they have a really nice chew to them there's no bacon in it there's no Pig there no egg nothing of a carbonara lives in this in this bag not not a not a trace it's not carbonara it is not stir fried it's only bulac that's the only thing accurate thing on here I'm not going to rate it as a carbonara I'm going to be kind because it would get a zero or one because it at least has noodles in it it's really good so I think that gets it an eight bulak habanero lime sounds good wow distinctly spicy the lime's in there it's like lime flavor though you know it's like lime powder I would love for it to be limier like I want to squeeze a lime in here cuz it would really brighten and freshen things up the lime is not prevalent enough here's the thing though tastes distinctly of cilantro I could have sworn I tasted cilantro cinnamon I swear to God there's cilantro in there I know it it's quite good the noodles are fantastic they got the some of the best noodles in the business uh the broth is really so so just good and spicy I respect how spicy it is so seven okay now we can do that that one ramen from what was it called um the school anime the one something school Hitman assassin assassination classroom and a gun oh God if that gets in your eyes it's going to oh God bulak double spicy it looks very spicy it looks angry I'm not the strongest guy with spice in the world if that's your double spicy that don't impress me much you know you you've got the moves but have you got the touch don't get me wrong I think I think it's all right but that's not going to keep me warm in the middle of a long cold lonely night spoken spoken words N twn no it's wow that it let me get that bit out and then it just was like you know what you yeah that moves oh that oh that would keep me warm in the long midle of a long cold lonely I'm sweating I'm sweating it's good and spicy it is properly spicy uh I love the inclusion of the sesame seeds and seaweed noodles are still great broth is so spicy I can't really tell what flavor it is assume chicken yeah chicken you you could have fooled me because all I taste is hot maybe you should taste it again oh really brat surely you must be joking oh yeah I thought it was over the Brad just keeps pulling me back in hot if you really like spicy food I would give it a straight up 10 nine nicely done uh next up we have bulak jahang which I assume is their Jang Mong I'm going off memory because I can barely taste it my taste buds have been singed straight off Brad well it's rather a refreshing pal pallet cleanser after that double spice ah it's it's really good so uh freaking you know eight sure it's an eight fine bulck kimchi artificially spicy Ramen I am know bulac actually means spicy in um good save bread okay here we go I rather like that one arold it's Curry it's noodles and it's pretty good so I don't know an eight I love these noodles their noodles are so good and the sauce is good it's different and curious so am I yeah that's the stuff it's an eight here you go it's an eight next up a true curiosity bulak Quattro cheese that's right folks it's a Korean noodle with Mexican cheese Mozzarella cheder gouda cam bear I cam bear it and I'm very excited to see what cheesy Ramen tastes like oh that's good that's good I like that I don't care I don't even care I like it it's distinctly cheesy it is righteously spicy just like all their other products cuz apparently bulac means fire chicken it's a more real cheese flavor than you get in most boxed Mac and cheeses it tastes like cheese and it's spicy and it's noodles I love it I love it it's a nine Quattro cheese all day last one folks and we saved the wackiest for last tomato pasta it is still spicy chicken flavor Ramen but with a little Italian secret come on I smell basil there's little bits of green in there what's the green I can smell basil and there's picture of it on the bag but it's not in the ingredients list so you know me tomato pasta ooh ooh things have taken a turn oh that's gnarly I don't care for that at all it's like you took the Tom the tombstone sauce packet out of a lunch bowl and squeezed it into some spicy chicken ramen that's what we ended up with here the the the sauce is super fake tasting it tastes very artificial I can't say I care for it uh they still have the great noodles obviously I can see it there's little bits of green I can taste it that's another problem is dried basil tastes like fish food this is going to be the rare bulck that doesn't bull enough Dack what you heard me you have headphones on that are connected to a microphone under my mouth you know what I said Brad I right it was more like a I don't understand dad get you in the face I'm sorry it's a five well there you have it folks nines more nines than well I've ever seen I'm drunk on spice right now I I my brain isn't working these are all exemplary packaged ramens uh you cannot do much better for a meal that comes out of a bag in the form of a brick in fact there's no other foods like that bulak has some amazing noodles they're thick and chewy and bouncy and wonderful their sauces were super flavorful and properly spicy and the squat cheese one is the stoniest most most demented thing I've ever seen in my and it's so good I really love it so these are if you're looking to have a good time and you're young enough to eat these kind of spicy stuff and not pay for it for the rest of your life this is if you are you're in a Mrs Doubtfire situation and the family's coming home for dinner and you didn't prepare anything or you you burned your fake boobs and you need something really good on the table really fast that's what mahur Morimoto is here for and then uh the ity run I genuinely don't even remember what it tastes like at this point but it was good so just it's good very good I think we have a really exemplary set of brick and bag meals ready for your purchase and consumption this has been rating with this has been braiding with babish banking with babish good night all right folks you didn't ask for it but we're delivering this folks is the bulac bowl and this is all the discards from my little cups so it's got a little bit of my back wash in it but mostly it's just every flavor of bulac that we got whoops almost forgot the ketchup ooh it's so Saucy oh it's so terribly terribly saly H that's a shame I mostly taste Curry that is a shame I think it just dominated all the other flavors definitely doesn't only taste like Curry there's clearly other things going on in there but it yeah just Curry anyway I said I would eat this whole thing so time up um how do I reduce my own frame frame rate no that's
