Apple Intelligence: A Guide to the Upcoming Feature

Hey guys, so today I want to talk about Apple intelligence there seems to be a lot of confusion out there as into what Apple plans to do in regards to the roll out the release and some of the features expected once it is officially available to the general public now the first thing I want to do is have you guys take a listen what Apple said at WWDC so take a listen.

Apple intelligence will be available to try out in US English this summer we're bringing it to users in beta as part of iOS 18 iPad 18 and Mac OS seoa this fall with some features and additional languages and platforms coming out over the course of the next year. According to Apple, Apple intelligence will be available for testing here in the US English this summer with iOS 18 betas once iOS 18 is officially available in September it will be part of iOS 18 but it will remain in beta for the next year or so adding additional features in functionality as more time goes by.

App Apple will be providing iOS 18 developer betas with apple intelligent features and once it is available to the general public Apple intelligence will remain in beta and you'll see these little tags here with apple intelligence even after iOS 18 is officially released so you may see these little tags that say beta as you can see right there even gen Emoji you'll see these beta tags throughout their operating system. This is something that isn't new to Apple, they have done this before releasing official software updates with some features in beta.

As we go to Apple's website here, this is Apple intelligent website. Apple made a small change yesterday after the release of beta 4 here you see right there it says Apple intelligence will be available in an upcoming beta now this used to say something a little different it used to say this the word summer was removed so Apple intelligence will be available in an upcoming beta this summer. Now I do have a screenshot of that from prior, now they remove the word summer but it will be available within upcoming betas.

Okay okay so iOS 18 betas will include Apple intelligence. It's just that Apple intelligence itself once it is available within iOS 18 later in September will remain in beta. You guys may be asking about Siri and this is where things are getting a little bit confusing. Some of the new Siri features will still remain in beta and some of the features will not be available at all. And apple will continue to add Siri features throughout the course of the next year they'll continue to add functionalities and new languages as Apple mentions.

Right here I have an iPhone 13 Pro running the new Siri UI this will be part of Apple intelligence and the new Siri once iOS 18 is officially available to the public what won't be available is some Seri functionalities. Okay so we're not sure exactly which ones but Apple did mention that onscreen awareness will take some time so that may happen early 2025 or perhaps even later. And some inapp actions will most likely not be available for Siri within the official release of iOS 18 and the release of Apple intelligence.

Just to clarify, Apple intelligence will be available for testing here in the US in English throughout the beta testing cycle which is IOS 18 betas until September once Apple releases iOS 18 in September. Apple intelligence will remain in beta throughout iOS 18 18.1 18.2 18.3 and they will continue to improve Apple intelligence Siri and add new features languages and functionalities throughout the course of the next year.

So just to clarify, the next beta IOS 18 developer beta 5 should be available within about a week and a half or two and hopefully we'll finally start seeing some of this apple intelligent features added to the iPhone with the next beta for testing here in the US. And again Apple intelligence will be available for iPhone 15 Pro 15 Pro Max and any iPad and Mac running with the M1 chip or later.
