Episode 688: How to Make a Monster High Inspired Bed for Cleo De Nal

Hello and welcome to this episode of Simple Kids Crafts! Today, we're going to make a bed inspired by our favorite character, Cleo De Nal. We'll be using some simple materials like cardboard, pen, ruler, fabric, ribbon, glue, and scissors. Let's get started!

To begin with, let's take our cardboard box and lay our doll on top of it so that we can cut the size that we need for our box. After measuring, we'll take our ruler and trace the pattern of our bed. If you're missing any sides for your bed, don't worry! You can simply take another piece of cardboard and draw the size that you're missing in this manner. Then, you can cut those off and glue them to the cardboard box that you're using.

After gluing those on, we'll take a piece of fabric and cut it to almost the size of the bed. Now, let's start by taking our bed and then covering it with the fabric. I'll put some glue on the sides and then work my way around the bed. As I glue the fabric on, you'll notice that corners will form. Don't worry; we can easily cover those corners later. For now, just fold them in like this.

Next, let's apply the ribbon to cover the corners. I'll put a bit of glue on the headboard of the bed and then work my way around it. This will give our bed a beautiful, finished look. Now that we have our fabric-covered bed, let's move on to creating the headboard. To do this, I'm going to take a piece of cardboard and cut it to the shape that I want.

I'll also take additional pieces out of the box itself so that I can decorate my headboard further. Next, I'll take the shiny piece from inside of the box and cut it in the shape of a triangle. This will add a beautiful touch to our bed's design. After cutting the triangle, I'll apply a piece of ribbon on top and to the side. This will give our headboard a fun and playful look.

Now that we have our headboard base, let's work on adding some details. For the feet of the bed, I'll take a piece of card stock that was inside of the box and roll it up. Then, I'll apply a little bit of glue towards the tip to secure the foot in place. This will give our bed its finishing touch. And that's not all! We can also make pillows for our bed using simple materials like socks.

To make the pillow, I'm going to simply use a roll-up sock and then put a little bit of glue to attach the ribbon in the middle. That's it! Our Monster High Inspired Bed is now complete.
