Samsung Galaxy M30s Review - Not Just about Big Battery!

**Samsung Galaxy M30s Review: A Mid-Range Powerhouse**

The Samsung Galaxy M30s is a mid-range smartphone that has left us impressed with its impressive camera capabilities, powerful battery, and solid design. We put this device to the test to see if it can live up to the hype.

**Design and Build**

The design of the Galaxy M30s is where it truly shines. The phone's build quality is top-notch, with a solid weight that feels premium in the hand. The back of the phone is made of plastic, but the use of high-quality materials makes it feel like a glass back. The phone is also IP53 rated, which means it can withstand minor exposure to water and dust. The display on the front is a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED panel that is bright, colorful, and vibrant. It's a great screen for everyday use, but it may not be as impressive as some of Samsung's higher-end devices.

**Performance**

The performance of the Galaxy M30s is average, which may be a letdown for some users. The phone is powered by a large 6GB RAM and a powerful Octa-core processor that delivers smooth performance for most tasks. However, it may not be able to keep up with demanding games or resource-intensive apps. We tested the phone with various games and apps, and while it performed well, we did experience some lag and stuttering at times.

**Camera**

The camera on the Galaxy M30s is where this device truly excels. The primary camera is a 12-megapixel sensor that takes excellent photos in most lighting conditions. However, if you want even more detail, you can switch to 48 megapixels, which takes about two seconds to capture. While the higher resolution has some drawbacks, such as consuming more storage space, it also results in images with more details and better dynamic range.

The wide-angle camera on the front is an 8-megapixel sensor that does a great job of capturing selfies and group shots. The depth sensor is also impressive, taking good portraits even in low light conditions. We were pleasantly surprised by the phone's ability to capture detailed images, especially when it comes to skin tones.

**Low-Light Performance**

One area where the Galaxy M30s falls short is in low-light performance. While the primary camera does a decent job of capturing images in moderate lighting conditions, it struggles in very low light. The night mode also doesn't work well, resulting in overexposed images and messy noise. However, we are hopeful that Samsung will release a software update to improve this feature.

**Video Recording**

The Galaxy M30s can record 1080p and 4K videos at 30fps, which is a decent offering for a mid-range device. While there is no 60fps option, the 1080p videos are stable with accurate color presentation and excellent contrast and dynamic range. The phone also has an ultra-wide-angle lens for recording, as well as a super steady mode that provides stable footage.

**Battery Life**

The battery life on the Galaxy M30s is where it truly shines. With a massive 6000mAh battery, this device can easily last two days on moderate usage. We tested the phone's endurance by playing games, browsing the web, and using various apps, and it performed well without running out of power.

**Conclusion**

Overall, the Samsung Galaxy M30s is a solid mid-range offering from Samsung that offers impressive camera capabilities, a powerful battery, and a solid design. While its performance may not be the best in this class, it's still a great device for everyday use. With a starting price of around $300, we think the Galaxy M30s is a good option for those looking to upgrade their mid-range smartphone experience.

**Comparison with Other Devices**

We compared the Samsung Galaxy M30s to other devices in its class, including the Redmi Note 8 Pro and the Realme 3 Pro. While all three devices offer similar features and performance, the Galaxy M30s shines in terms of camera capabilities and battery life. However, the Redmi Note 8 Pro offers a better display and more features at an affordable price.

**Final Verdict**

In conclusion, the Samsung Galaxy M30s is a mid-range powerhouse that offers impressive camera capabilities, a powerful battery, and solid design. While its performance may not be the best in this class, it's still a great device for everyday use. With a starting price of around $300, we think the Galaxy M30s is a good option for those looking to upgrade their mid-range smartphone experience.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhey guys Pratibha here and this is our review of the galaxy m31 idol such as this phone is not just about the huge 6000 mAh battery as it has impressed me in many other aspects as well but since the mid week segment in 2019 is covered by so many good phones like the redmi note 8 pro that we recently reviewed and there's a big OS one which is doing great in the offline market so is the galaxy m38 a great mid-range phone that you should consider let's find out in this review of the galaxy m38 after the short intro so before I got this phone I expected it to be very bulky and uninspiring as phones with big batteries go but that was absolutely not the case it's actually not very heavy and has good grip thanks to the curved sides and although it's made of plastic it does not feel that cheap maybe the things to complain here are the choice of colors which is absolutely rubbish in my opinion and the way these triple cameras are aligned in this fashion this could definitely have been a little more minimalistic come on Samsung it looks like you're trying to copy the iPhones or the Google pixel 4 for that matter also the phone is made entirely of plastic and not even the frames are metals so durability can be an issue in the long run so I would advise you to case it up on the front you get what other mid-range phones are offering in 2019 a six point four inches full HD display with thin bezel a small u-shape not on the top and yes a big bezel on the bottom however unlike other mid ranges out there Samsung utilizes a Super AMOLED display instead of an IPS panel this means that you get superior quality than the IPS ones the colors contrast and brightness levels are great for the price and having used a red minuite threw me a three at Marea me 5 pro what I can certainly tell you is that the galaxy and 30s provides you a much better than C experience however what average here is the single firing speaker but Samsung has brought back the 3.5 mm headphone jack after its omission on the m-40 if you remember that the m30 s also offers a fast fingerprint sensor and since I was used to slow fingerprint sensors on samsung G Series in the past the faster fingerprint sensor on the m30 s is a welcome addition there's also a not so reliable software basis on lot which is fairly accurate and fast as well now talking about the inside of the phone you get Exiles 96 1:1 chipset running the show it's available in two memory variants one with 4gb RAM and 64gb storage and the other with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB storage the 4gb RAM and 64gb variant is obviously the better value for money here so I would advise you to go with that now talking about the Excite knows nine six one one chipset it's based on 10 NM fabrication and strangely it does not offer any improvements over its predecessor nine six one zero except this one supports higher megapixel cameras the Exiles nine six one one is more of a Madrid chipset and a fairly good one the performance is good but I wouldn't say excellent having used an OTA tro and the rio me5 pro i can certainly say that it's not as smooth as them now one possible explanation could be because of how heavy the one UI is on the more expensive note 10 the 1 UI performs like a champ the transition and even opening of default apps like phone dialer is smooth but with the m30 s there's a hint of slightest of lag you might not even notice this but me as a reviewer having to test different phones I can definitely say that this is not the smoothest mid-range phone out there but what's surprising is that the X I know science x11 should be able to handle such transitions so maybe Samson could work on optimizing the one you I'm more in their budget and between spawns despite that one UI is still my favorite skin from multitasking trade to notifications panel to the Settings dashboard everything feels minimalistic and model I also turn on the night mode because it's not saves the battery but because I like it as well talking about the gaming performance the Molly g72 mp3 GPU is averaged babji runs at HD graphics and high frame rates by default but I had to either lower down the graphics or frame rates for starter feel experience even the recently launched Call of Duty has stutters and lags in medium settings and is playable only in low settings also after like 30 minutes of babji and Call of Duty I noticed some heating issue at the back of the device so yeah the galaxy and 30s is not the best performing phone in this price range especially for gaming for gaming I would advise you to go with the redmi note 8 pro that has a much superior video t90 DeHaven chipset the galaxy m31 son's first mid-range smartphone to feature 48 megapixel triple cameras the 48 megapixel primary camera is its in-house gm2 sensor joined by an accustomed 8 megapixel ultra wide 12mm lens and a 5 megapixel depth sensor honestly at first i was very skeptical about the cameras of the m30 s because the m10 and the m20 that I reviewed had very average cameras but this one actually has very good cameras I would read them like B+ the camera by default shoots in 12 megapixel however you can go in the camera setting here to change into 48 megapixel mode the 48 megapixel takes like 2 seconds to capture the images and has more details when compared to the 12 megapixel mode but consumes like five times more storage other than that there isn't any noticeable difference now the default 12 megapixel shots when you view them from the AMOLED display seems oversaturated but it's actually very natural when you view it on a color accurate creep the images have good colors details are also fine and dynamic range is not bad either the wide-angle images also share the same story it has good colors and most importantly is natural like the primary images it does not miss out on detail if you zoom in but that's expected of an 8 megapixel wide-angle shot the 5 megapixel depth sensor also does a decent job in terms of portraits I have seen more expensive phones doing of the worst job in portraits than this one so I am content with its portrait images now moving on to the low-light performance the level of detail is poor and images are not worth showing off but that's expected on a mid-range phone samsung has also included a night mode but it doesn't work well look at this image here it messes on the exposure and the images come out overexposed and if your hands have slightest of shakiness taking night mode shots images turn out like this so I think Samsung should we work on making the night mode better via a software update the 16 megapixel images on this one are also very good if you are at the right distance with ample light you will get some detail shots with good colors and Stan amick range the selfie portraits also worked well and overall I am happy with the software based luring as for video recording the m30 s records 1080p and 4k videos at 30fps and surprisingly there is no 60fps on both of them the 1080p videos are stable with accurate color presentation excellent contrast and dynamic range if you want more details you can shoot in 4k plots there is no stabilization you can also use the ultra wide-angle lens at 1080p for videos there is also a super steady mode which is a cropped version of the ultra wide-angle videos but are stable there's also the usual 240 FPS slow-mo and 9 60fps super slow-mo options which do an ok job so just to see how good the cameras on the m30 s is I compared it against the Remy new ta true and to be honest in many aspects both phones do a similar job the main difference in the normal images from the two is that the m30 s had a cooler tone whereas the new D Pro has somewhat a warmer tone and color tones are usually up to people's preference so I would give it was but one thing I noticed is that the m30 s has better colors when it comes to the sky for portraits in some scenarios PM 30s does good while at other times the no da Proust here's the show selfies on the other hand look better on the noted pro nighttime images are well bad on both like I said previously for the M 30s now before talking about the battery let's summarize this review design and build is like seven out of seven the display is a solid nine I would rate the performance average at seven out of ten and I would give the cameras and eight out of ten and yes this looks like a perfectly fine score to me but it's the back fee that steals the show the 6000 mAh battery is a solid ten for me it will last you for two days on moderate usage and if you are a heavy user who like to game a lot and watch videos it will still give you a day of usage the 15 watt fast charger supplied inside the box charges the battery from 0 to 100% in two hours and 20 minutes so there you have it guys our review of the galaxy m33 of this video the galaxy and 30s is a good smartphone it's only in the performance aspect where it could have done a little better otherwise you get surprisingly good cameras and a powerhouse of a battery this one is a competitive mid-range offering from Samsung so if you are looking to buy a good mid-range Samsung phone then you won't go wrong with the galaxy and 30s so that was all for the review of the galaxy m31 would you choose the redmi note 8 pro the galaxy m33 voice 1 do let us know in
