Driving the Lamborghini Huracan Evo in Baja California, Mexico was an exhilarating experience like no other. The car's loud exhaust note echoed through the desert landscape as I pushed it to its limits. "It is honestly one of the loudest stock cars I've driven recently," I exclaimed. "It is ridiculous! It's also ridiculously fast." With a nod from my instructor, we turned off traction control and launched into launch mode. The result was 2.94 seconds from zero to 100 kilometers per hour, an astonishing time that left us both grinning.

With the roof up, the Huracan Evo became an even more enjoyable driving experience. I could appreciate the craftsmanship of the car's interior, particularly the beautiful design of the dashboard and the soft leather seats. let's start with this car and where we borrowed it because the guys over at buena vida supercar rental were nice enough to give us this car for today they have just added this huracan evo to the mix and it is freaking awesome another thing which is awesome well it's super low so when i get up this car is going to look like a toy car so i'm going to see if i can do this review at like 50 height maybe something like this that's a little bit better i think um so the guys at buena vida decided that they wanted to do something special with the wheels these wheels are i think a little bit of a modern interpretation of the classic murcielago wheel or even further back the diabolo and countach they also had those those openings really really cool uh garmin ceramic brakes behind those wheels now as i said they wanted to do something special these used to be silver and they painted them gold and at first i was like oh that's that's a little bit too much but it's not it's not too much it works it works really really well i think it looks absolutely awesome and it makes the car so much more special so good job guys buena vida for painting those wheels gold uh what else we've got an air intake right there hercon evo badge uh 20 inch wheels by the way really nice and at the rear we've got one of the best rear ends of today's supercars i think i think this looks absolutely insane there's so much going on it's so much more aggressive than a regular huracan so you can see that diffuser with those massive fins this is all much more aggressive than it used to be and it's absolutely gorgeous and i just forgot to show you guys at the front before i forget this new y design for the front bumper this is also much more aggressive the front splitter is much more aggressive so in total this car develops 500 percent of the downforce of a regular huracan spider so five times as much downforce that's seriously impressive and of course we've got on one of the the most delicious rear ends of today's supercars we've got one of the best looking and sounding exhaust of all time i mean this car is so freaking loud for a stock car it is insane i i don't understand how this can be legal the tail pipes themselves of course are higher up um so this is the same spot as they are on the perfomante so nice and high and with that perforated inside it just looks spectacular and through these vents you can see the exhaust which is absolutely delicious you can even see the valves in there but this to me is absolute carport also new for the evo is this little ducktail spoiler at the rear which looks really cool i wasn't expecting to find that cool but it really works okay so let's open the rear so because i opened the front on purpose no not on purpose accidentally uh that's it okay so no it's not a very practical car but it does have a little space in the front okay so of course if you go for the spider you don't get that beautiful engine which you can see through the glass you get this cover and you can see the rear of the engine that's it the v10 is right there you can see it right there there's not much to see here but it is cool that you can see something at least and i do like these louvers another cool detail i just noticed it says huracan spider right there that's pretty cool right so maybe we should talk about that engine that may be a good idea so we've got a 5.2 liter v10 basically it's just the engine lifted from the perfomante so that means 640 horsepower 600 newton meters and of course that performance engine over the regular huracan it's an ecu upgrade and it has the intake system the ducts of a super trofeo car so that's why it has a little bit more power in here the evo has a new touchscreen this is the infotainment this is everything you need basically to operate the car uh let's start it up we've got this little thing right here uh of course you can also go through it with your finger through this hole but i don't like that i think you should always open this thing so start it up and uh well everything else in here you will find some switch gear from audi like this like this most of it looks really really good you've got leather everywhere alcantara and yeah everything is it makes sense you've got these massive pedals which are really really good the indicators are here and the wipers are here so you don't have stalks anymore let's go let's go okay so that pedal first gear we're going to put it in corsa mode of course and i'll switch to sport later on but we've got the valves open now in corsa mode and it is really freaking loud oh it is honestly one of the loudest stock cars i've driven recently it is ridiculous it's also ridiculously fast so i'll stop it here we'll turn off traction control and that means that we've got launch control foot on the brake full throttle uh but we've got a couple of families of geese so there's a lot of them wow it's like a zoo here so zero to 100 lamborghini says 3.1 seconds for the spider 2.9 seconds for the coupe well we've done it in 2.94 seconds which is just insane and it is mostly down to well of course that power but that gearbox this seven speed dual clutch gearbox is so freaking fast the response to the pedal as well as the shift itself are just mental oh the sound it's just so nice to have this spider you know the roof of it's oh you hear all those beautiful noises it is an absolute joy to drive this car and when you've got the roof up you can actually lower this little window right there so you can drive with that window down and you've got that exhaust singing away behind you even when you're driving on the ultraman at high speeds so driving it you can feel that they definitely try to improve the handling of this car with this new evo because it feels so aggressive and agile that front end it goes like well nothing i've driven recently it's so immediate and even though the steering feel is not that great you don't really yeah you don't get a lot of feedback through the steering wheel but because the the front end reacts with with such agility you do always know what is going on and you do always know what is happening even though you have to get used to that super fast front end but it is a big improvement over the hurricane so in corsa mode the mode we are in right now you always have to do the gear shifting yourself uh and it will go into the rev limiter which i will demonstrate right now that was a rev limiter apart from when you have launch control so when you have launch control it will shift up automatically oh that's loud oh those bangs are really nice as well they they only happen when you let off the throttle and not all the time so you don't get tired of it it's just sometimes it's there and then it's nice freaking fast this car okay so we're going to do the ultraman uh with the roof down because i thought that would be fun with that crazy sound so i am going to switch to sport so you guys have a bigger speedo not to be confused with the men's swimwear the speedometer i mean guys get your head out of the gutter very nice okay here we go let's see what we can get let's see if it's nice and quiet at the autobahn top speed 325 or as lamborghini says over 325 kilometers an hour okay here we go this car is so fast oh my god oh that's so intense with that roof down 300 kilometers an hour uh yeah that's pretty freaking crazy but it is so freaking fast this car okay let's do another pull from like 100 kilometers an hour full throttle oh oh my god 3 25. 335 kilometers an hour with the roof down oh my god what an experience oh i just love if you have it in automatic mode i'll put it in automatic yeah so if you're in a high gear and you floor it the little break
