Samsung Galaxy S4 New Stability Update after 4.3 build XXUEMJ8

A New Update for the Samsung Galaxy S4: Stability Improvements and More

Last week, on October 21st, we received the 4.3 update for the Samsung Galaxy S4. However, it didn't take long for another software update to arrive. As of today, October 28th, Samsung has released a new update that aims to improve stability issues experienced after the previous update.

The Previous Update and Its Issues

-----------------------------------

After receiving the 4.3 update, many users reported experiencing lower battery life and heating issues with their Galaxy S4 devices. These problems were quite concerning for some owners, which is why Samsung's decision to release a new update was welcomed by many.

The New Update: A Small but Important Fix

-----------------------------------------

This time around, the update is much smaller than its predecessor, weighing in at just 16.65% of the original size. Despite its size, this update promises to improve stability and address some of the issues that plagued users after the previous update. The build number for this update is EMJ8.

Installing the Update

----------------------

Ranit, a Samsung Galaxy S4 user, decided to install this new update on his device. He opted to receive it via OTA (over-the-air) update and used his Samsung Exos model with the I9 500 processor. Although Ranit mentioned that he's unsure if this update will be available for the Snapdragon version of the phone, users who are using a different processor should check their comment section to see if they received the same update.

The Update Process

------------------

Ranit described the process of installing the update as straightforward and quick, taking only about 2 minutes to complete. However, after installation, his device took some time to reboot. This is not unusual, as software updates often require a system reboot to take effect. Once the reboot was complete, Ranit unlocked his screen and went to the "About Phone" section.

Checking for Changes

---------------------

After installing the update, Ranit checked if it had addressed some of the issues that arose after the previous update. To do this, he quickly swiped around the screens to see if the reading mode and other features were still present. He also checked to confirm whether his device was successfully updated.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhi this is ranit from tias.com and this is my Samsung Galaxy S4 and if you recall just one week ago that's on 21st October we got the 4.3 update for the Samsung Galaxy S4 but today again uh it's 28th October and we do get one more software update and if you recall after that update to 4.3 on the S4 we did have a lot of issues this is the 4.3 update that we got and just note the build number and after that update I also experienced lower battery life heating issues yes there were some new updates for example we do get the reading mode Etc and the new browser but a lot of users were complaining about the about the battery life and heating issues uh on this uh Galaxy S4 and looks like Samsung has uh fixed it uh they have just released this new update and it's a small update the 4.3 update was pretty big around 630 MB or so but this is just 16.65% and it just says that it will improve the stability and again it says that it's going to reboot our device so let's quickly install this one again I got this update OTA over the air and I'm using the uh Samsung exos model that is the the I 9 500 so I don't know if this update is also applicable for the Snapdragon version so if you're using the Snapdragon version do let me know in the comment section if you did get this uh small stability update again the procedure for the update will be similar and uh it'll install this update as it's a small update it'll install it quickly and then it'll reboot our uh system so I'll just Skip and move to the other screens now and it took about 2 minutes and now the phone is rebooting again and again as I mentioned after these uh software updates the boot time takes a long time so don't be worried it's just normal and now it's going to upgrade the Android apps again I'll just skip this portion and move to the next screens so it has completed the upgrade and now we can just unlock the screen and let's just go to about the phone it'll be 4.3 but the build number might have changed and as you can see it's still the Android version 4.3 and this is the new build number that is em j8 uh so let's just quickly just swipe around again it's very difficult to immediately know if uh this update fixed the battery uh issues or anything like that and it says our device was successfully updated and uh let's swipe do the double swipe we still have the reading mode and all the other things uh so that's not removed so again um do let me know if you got this uh small stability update and and did it fix some of the issues that we started to have after the 4.3 update uh particularly uh battery draining a lot quicker uh so I'll be testing this update a lot more in the next few days and I'll share my uh experience in the comment section do also let me know if you're using the Snapdragon version did you get this stability update that's it for now thank you this is ranit and I hope to see you in my next video mhi this is ranit from tias.com
