It's Wednesday August 24th and in case you weren't aware Fitness wearable Giants Fitbit and Jawbone have been duking it out in court over whether Fitbit stole proprietary information from Jawbone.
Job Own, a prominent employee at Jawbone, started pointing the finger last year saying Fitbit poached some of its best employees. Many of these employees were familiar with Job Own's Tech and in doing so, poached Trade Secrets. Job Own cited six patents that Fitbit supposedly stole but as Reuters points out, Jawbone withdrew two of them. A judge put the kibos on the other four which left Jawbone with no more than the complaint of poached workers and accusations of corporate thievery.
According to a US International Trade Commission judge, that wasn't enough. The judge ruled in Fitbit's favor but according to n Gadget jaone, isn't going to quit jawbone. Job Own wrote in a statement to the publication that it would be going before a larger ITC body and give it another go as far as fitb is concerned. The company has got to be feeling a lot more comfortable now especially with its dominant position in the marketplace.
Android Nougat, also known as Android 7.0, is finally here well for some Android owners anyway. The roll out began yesterday and according to Digital Trends owned Julian shatu, it's the best version of Android yet with more ability to multitask and much more granular user controls and customization. Also night mode is officially still available finally if you've been thinking Apple's rumored decision to kill off the headphone jack in the iPhone 7 is a little too much too soon you're not alone.
Apple co-founder Steve Wazniak aka "the was or just was" if you're not into the whole brevity thing told the Australian financial review that he thinks it's a mistake. W cites the fact that not everyone is into Bluetooth, he thinks it sounds flat and he's not entirely wrong on that and that it will alienate and piss off a lot of people. On that point we agree entirely was talks about how it would be a mistake but the rumors which have been stable since they first began to emerge suggest the decision is made.
Those of us still clinging on to wired headphones, which is like most of us right now, will have to settle for a lightning adapter just one more thing for Apple to sell you and heck we're not even entirely positive Apple will include lightning connected ear Pods at this point no matter what Apple has officially decided to do. September 7th is going to be an interesting day indeed.
