Top 10 Things I LOVE About Windows 10 Anniversary Update

**Top 10 Things I Love About the Windows 10 Anniversary Update**

As a tech enthusiast, I was excited to dive into the latest updates from Microsoft with the Windows 10 anniversary update. In this video, I'll be sharing my top 10 favorite features that make navigating and using Windows 10 even better.

**1. Improved Navigation**

One of the things that really stood out to me is how much easier it is to navigate through Windows 10 compared to previous versions. The new navigation system is streamlined and intuitive, making it a breeze to find what you need quickly. I also appreciate how the updates have made it easier for users to find what they're looking for by highlighting key features like Cortana and Settings.

**2. Enhanced Search Functionality**

The search function has been improved significantly in Windows 10, allowing users to quickly find files, apps, and settings with ease. The new search bar is also more prominent on the Start menu, making it easy to access what you need right away. Additionally, the ability to search within files and folders has been greatly enhanced, making it easier to locate specific documents or images.

**3. Dark Mode for Store Apps**

One of my favorite new features in Windows 10 is the introduction of a dark mode for store apps. This feature allows users to easily switch between light and dark modes, giving them more control over their desktop experience. I also appreciate the ability to customize title bar colors and remove unnecessary icons from the Start menu.

**4. Sticky Notes Redesigned**

The redesign of Sticky Notes has been a welcome change in Windows 10. The new sticky notes feature is now built into the Taskbar, making it easy to access and use on demand. I also appreciate the addition of the screen sketch option, which allows users to capture screenshots and annotate them with ease.

**5. Improved Taskbar Experience**

The taskbar has been improved significantly in Windows 10, providing a more streamlined and efficient experience for users. The ability to show only icons from specific apps on each monitor is now available, making it easier to manage multiple monitors. I also appreciate the new clock and calendar integration, which provides easy access to these features.

**6. Cortana Integration**

Cortana has been integrated into Windows 10 in a big way, allowing users to quickly access information and services with just their voice. The ability to sink phone notifications onto your desktop is a game-changer for those who want to stay connected without needing to check their phone constantly.

**7. Screen Sketch Option**

The screen sketch option is one of my favorite new features in Windows 10. This feature allows users to capture screenshots and annotate them with ease, providing a more efficient way to create documents or tutorials. I'm excited to start using this feature for videos and other projects.

**8. Multimonitor Support for Clock and Calendar**

The clock and calendar have been improved in Windows 10 to display on all monitors in a multimonitor workflow. This is a huge improvement for users who work with multiple monitors, as it provides easy access to these features without needing to switch between them.

**9. New Windows Defender**

Windows Defender has been updated in Windows 10, providing a more robust and intuitive antivirus solution. The new icon is sleek and modern, making it easy to find the defender app on your desktop. I appreciate the emphasis on automatic monitoring modes and other features that make using Windows Defender easier than ever.

**10. Cortana Mobile App Integration**

For those who want to stay connected to their phone while working from their computer, the Cortana mobile app integration is a game-changer. This feature allows users to sink phone notifications onto their desktop, providing easy access to messages and other updates without needing to check their phone constantly.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhello everyone how's it going my name is Adam rles Fox and this video I'm talking about the top 10 things that I love about the Windows 10 anniversary update they're kind of silly but I don't necessarily like a lot of the big features so there's specific things that I am very much enjoying about the changes with this big O upgrade if you aren't aware this upgrade rolled out starting today August 2nd but it can it's rolling out over potentially weeks so you may not get it immediately but it comes out via the normal Windows update I'll have quite a few videos going up here so check the playlist Link in the description below to learn more in no particular order number one number one there's a new lock screen it looks a lot Slicker and I love it a lot the clunky have the panel slide up and you type things in as how things have been since early Windows 8 days and I wasn't necessarily a huge fan minor thing but I think it looks a lot better now however it cleared out my custom lock screen background and that kind of annoyed me a little bit number two number two there's also a new user access control prompt a little security prompt that pops up and is like are you sure you want to run this program that you told me to run that uh hasn't basically changed how it looks since pretty much Windows Vista and now it looks a lot nicer and actually gives you a lot more information and just overall does a better job conveying what it's actually asking about like half the time especially back in the Vista days it' just be like a program wants to run do you want to run it and someone who doesn't know what they're doing may not have a clue why they should be running running it this tells you shows you the icon tells you what it is who made it lots of information it's pretty cool number three number three the new Skype client as it's currently called Skype preview but will hopefully be renamed shortly it's pretty cool I have some complaints about it that you'll see in my follow-up video to this which will be the top five things I hate about the Windows 10 anniversary update but it it's a pretty cool client and it has a dark theme which is pretty slick and it seems to be functionally more integrated in the Windows 10 ecosystem which is pretty cool and I'm a big fan it's seems to be working a lot better and Microsoft's renewed support for Skype in general pleases me quite a bit number four the action center is back and better than ever and it actually has a notification history instead of you just getting a do do do Windows 10 notification and not having a clue what it was if you weren't at your computer at the moment you have an unread counter for how many notifications stack up before you click on the action center button recently and it shows you what notifications you've gotten finally I've been asking for this for a while and you can customize which notifications you actually get in the first place on a Pera basis and you can turn them off on the lock screen as well number five the system settings window option little Windows 10 control panel thing as well as the start button both have UI upgrades which makes navigating them so much easier it conveys the information again so much better does a much better job and it's overall more easier to navigate and they've added in some cool system settings functions which are pretty nice and overall it just looks and feels so much better and along with that number six uh they added in personalization personalization that's such a weird word personalization changes to where for Windows 10 apps there's now a dark mode for all Windows 10 store apps you can change the title bar color to actually match your theme or make it a neutral color in the first place uh you can get rid of more icons on the start on the taskbar and start menu than you could before you can you know completely ditch the search icon and the multitask view icon and things like that pretty freaking cool and on that taskbar number seven the windows Inc workpace is actually pretty slick I don't have a touchscreen computer my computer is not touchscreen but yet some of the features for this is really are are really cool the sticking notes of course are very useful and having this toolbar up makes them much more handy and then the screen sketch option is actually really slick and I'm going to start using this for videos I said this in a previous video it may actually replace my light shot screenshot program cuz what it does is when you click on it it takes a whole screenshot of your desktop and then you can start drawing on it highlighting on it erasing bits you can use the ruler on it the whole sketch pad option on it and fully annotate your screen and then save it or share it out to social media which is pretty freaking cool I'm a huge fan of this so far and then they have the normal sketch pad as well which I can't really make a ton of use of with just my mouse but it's pretty slick number eight the clock in the calendar now show on all monitors in a multim monitor workflow I have M set up to where only the taskbar icons for the programs that I have open on those specific monitors are shown on those monitors but now it finally shows the time and the date which seems silly but I've been really it's really been bothering me that I can't look over on any monitor I'm working on and see what time it is they finally updated that and with that your calendar is actually integrated with that calendar on the taskbar which it should have been in the first place so I I'm really happy with that like that should have been in there a long time ago and now if you click on the time and date it will pull up your calendar and your calendar like listings of your events and things like that which is pretty cool number nine there's a new Windows Defender and it's pretty cool it's got a new icon they're basically reminding you that hey Windows comes with a default built-in antivirus so there's not a whole lot of excuses for getting basic viruses anymore try it out and it has an automatic monitoring mode and things like that the core usage and the core UI of it is still like it looked like back in Windows Vista or Windows 7 or when whenever they introduced it but the fact that they're like pushing it back out there again really makes me happy and lastly number 10 Cortana can sink your phone notifications with your computer now for the Privacy nuts out there that's probably a horrible thing that's probably like the worst thing in the world but if you install the Cortana mobile app on your smartphone you can do what I used to use an app called push bullet for which will syn up up pretty much every notification that you want from your smartphone to your Windows 10 desktop so you don't have to look at your phone other than when you actually need to check on one of those notifications it's a really cool feature and as long as you don't mind knowing that cortana's intercepting your notifications and pushing them back out to you it's really cool I'm going to do a separate video on setting this up cuz I'm interested in trying it out but it'll be a much more complicated video to make so these are the top 10 things that I love about the Windows 10 anniversary update Windows 10 love 10 things 10 works guess I don't know if you
