I just want to mention uh the users which posted comments in my uh latest videos answering the question of the video so here they are if you want to get your comment in the next video all you have to all I want to mention the fact that this case is U developed by Apple and only works on the iPad 2 the iPad 3 and the iPad 4 it doesn't work on the first generation iPad only because uh as you can see this this case connects with magnets and the iPad 1 doesn't have magnets inside so it doesn't work with the iPad 1 but it works perfectly with the iPad 2 the iPad 3 and the iPad 4 it also works with the iPad mini but uh since the iPad Mini is uh like this so it's a bit smaller you'll have to buy a uh a different smart cover for the iPad minu which is uh which is a bit smaller anyway this uh cost me about £35 in the UK Apple Store you can get it from the US Apple Store I think it's more expensive uh I think it's 50b $50 I'm not sure uh but it's 35 lb in the UK uh Apple Store okay so let's unbox this baby up so on the front of the box we have this clear panel which shows us the color of U of the smart cover in my case it's dark gray now on the back back we have the Apple logo iPad Smart Cover an image of U the Smart Cover which is in blue all the boxes have this blue uh this blue smart cover on the back then different positions in which you can put your iPad so you can put it in a vertical position or um uh on the table flat position here it uh tells us something about uh something about the Smart Cover such as the aluminium hinge automatically align BL itself magnetically for the perfect fit every time and uh this is in French choose from vibrant polane or Rich letter both in a variety of colors with the microfiber lining that keeps your uh display clean wake your iPad or put it to sleep just by opening or closing the iPad Smart Cover which is really cool okay let's unbox this baby up so unfortunately I've unboxed it uh few months ago I think so I decided to re unbox it for you anyways so let's put the Box aside now this is how it looks this is how it feels so it's pretty light as you can see it's foldable which I'm going to demonstrate in in the upcoming uh minutes here on the back we have this really cool microfiber texture which cleans the display when uh the iPad is turned off here we have a branding which tells us designed by app California assembled in China like always uh this is the magnetic hinge so this is the magnet and I have no idea what those are those are just some hinges which hold the smart cover in place okay so let's demonstrate this on living iPad so I have here my iPad 3 as you can tell it's not a fourth generation it's only a third generation but still so what you have to do is align the iPad with hinges and it will automatically attach oh it doesn't work this time oh for some reason it doesn't work that's weird let me yeah okay so as you can see it attaches magnetically and uh the case is really strong cuz um as you can see I can even hold my ey using the case I'm not holding it uh with anything else only the case Okay so uh when the Smart Cover is attached to the iPad and closed the screen is turned off when I open the Smart Cover the screen turns on I hope you can see and the video see now it's on it's off on off on I think you get the idea let me unlock my iPad okay now if you go to settings let me just focus the camera now if you go to settings you have a button here which only appears when you first connect your smart cover which is really really cool so basically uh the magnets uh which are connected uh so when the two magnets one of them is inside the iPad at one of them is on a smart cover connect it automatically trigger uh triggers this uh button to appear so iPad cover lock unlock so if I turn this off the Smart Cover will not unlock the iPad screen as you can see but if I turn it on whoops then the screen will lock when the Smart Cover is on the screen now let's test out uh the angles a bit so okay now as you probably know this case uh sorry the cover can also be used as a stand now one way to put it at a stand is uh vertically so all you have to do is Fold It fold the smart cover with uh the microfiber facing up the magnets will do the rest and as you can see the iPad stands pretty pretty cool stands at a at an almost vertical angle I think it's um about 70° angle uh anyway it's really stable as you can see I'm hitting it and it doesn't fall so it's pretty stable uh this is perfectly for um let me unlock this sorry this is really good for for browsing the web so let me go to Safari and I now go to Apple Apple so this uh this mode is really good for browsing web but it's not that good for typing as you can probably tell when I'm trying to type something it's okay but it's not the best now if you want to do some serious typing just uh turn it sideways and the screen would will automatically rotate which is awesome uh and now it's really easy to type so let's go back and now I can type something uh let's say uh the case is awesome the case is awesome uh now of course you cannot see this but uh that's what I typed it's really easy to type and and that's basically it now when the screen uh sorry when the Smart Cover is on a screen it's supposed to clean the screen a bit although it doesn't do that necessarily it cleans it a bit yeah uh but not that much so just don't buy the case only for this reason I think uh I think this case this it's not actually case it's a smart cover it's a cover uh I think the best uh the most amazing feature of it is that you can uh use it as as a stand and uh it protects the screen when it's on and you can put it on when you put it on a table uh you can uh you know put it with the screen facing down so uh it's safe so basically that was it this was my review of the smart cover for the iPad 2 the iPad 3 and the iPad 4 uh the question is am I going to should you get it should you get this uh this cover and the answer is uh is no just don't get this get the Apple Smart Case instead it's a bit pricier I think it's uh 10B more uh than this but it's totally worth it only because uh the other case has uh uh
