**Unboxing and First Impressions of the Samsung Galaxy S10e**
The Samsung Galaxy S10e is one of the latest additions to Samsung's flagship lineup, and it's been generating a lot of buzz among tech enthusiasts. In this article, we'll take a closer look at the phone's design, features, and performance.
**Design and Display**
One of the most noticeable differences between the S10e and its larger siblings is the placement of the fingerprint scanner. On the S10e, the fingerprint scanner is located on the right-hand side of the phone, making it quicker to access than the ultrasonic fingerprint scanner found on the S10 and S10+. This is a great compromise for those who prefer a more convenient fingerprint-scanning experience.
On the left-hand side, you'll find the volume rocker and the Bixby button. The good news is that this year, Samsung has introduced the option to remap the Bixby button, allowing users to assign it to open their preferred app or perform other tasks with a single press. However, it's worth noting that Google Assistant cannot be assigned to the button.
Moving on to the bottom of the phone, you'll find a 3.5mm headphone jack, a USB-C port, and a bottom-firing speaker. The top of the phone features a sim card tray, which also accommodates micro-SD cards for expanded storage.
**Camera**
One of the most exciting aspects of the S10e is its camera system. Unlike its larger siblings, which feature three cameras, the S10e boasts two cameras: a primary 12-megapixel camera with a variable aperture (f1.5-f2.4) and optical image stabilization, as well as dual-pixel autofocus.
However, it's worth noting that the secondary camera is not a telephoto camera, which is typically found on Samsung phones. Instead, you'll find a 16-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera with an f/2.2 aperture. This is a welcome change for those who prefer wider angles and are disappointed by the lack of a telephoto lens.
**Performance**
The S10e is powered by either the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor or Samsung's Exynos 9820, depending on your region. I've had the chance to test out the Exynos version so far, but I'm hoping to get my hands on the Snapdragon 855 version soon.
Internally, the phone features 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, which is expandable via micro-SD cards.
**Software**
The S10e runs on Samsung's One UI, which has been a favorite among Android fans. The interface is clean, smooth, and easy to use with one hand. For instance, swiping down from the top brings up notifications, while swiping in from the left reveals a list of recently used apps.
One feature that sets the S10e apart is its smaller size, making it more accessible for users who prefer a phone they can easily handle with one hand.
**Battery and Charging**
The S10e boasts a 3100mAh battery, which is a respectable size considering its compact design. The phone supports wireless charging 2.0, as well as wireless power share, allowing you to charge other devices using your S10e.
And finally, we have the final impression of this article, where we provide some calls to action for the reader.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: en(Electronic background music)- What's up guys, Safhere on SuperSaf TV and,we finally have the SamsungGalaxy S10e in the houseI know it's a little bit delayed, but couldn't get hold ofthis early here in the UKit was just on release date, which is today, but anyway, let's give it theSuperSaf unboxing treatmentand get straight to it.Right, so on the box we have the S10e logoand it is in this sort of yellow colorand that's because we'vegot the canary yellow, now the canary yellowis unique to the S10e,the other colors are availableon the S10 and the S10+as well but this is quite unique,so hopefully you haven't seen acanary yellow unboxing as yet.And what does the e stand for?Well as far as I'm awareit stands for essentialand that's because you'vegot all of the essentialsof the S10 in this smallerand cheaper package. This starts at around 670pounds here in the UK,or around 750 dollars in the US,which is pretty good in myopinion for what you're getting, comes with a base of 128gigabytes of storage.Right, so lets get ahead andget it outside of the box.Ooh, so we actually have like an inner boxin the top half, and the phone is here.Ooh, oh.That is bright.Very, very bright.Okay, we're going to leave thatto the side for just a secondwhile we see what elsewe get inside the box. There's a sim card eject tool, there's some paperwork, there's a fast charger,a USB type A to USB type C cable, and then we've got a few adaptors, this is USB type A to USB type C,and then we've gotmicro USB to USB type C,so these are going to beuseful to use your previouscables and also for datatransfer and things like thatand then we've got someAKG earphones and theseare operated with a 3.5mm connector, because the S10e as with theother S10's has a 3.5mm jack.Woohoo.Now getting to the phone thisthing has a very very strikingyellow color, lets getrid of the back plastic.I kind of do like it but I'mgoing to be sitting a dBrandskin onto this and currentlyloving the black swanwhich looks so dope, and that's going to give us acombination of black and yellow.(Wiz Khalifa, Black and Yellow plays)so if you want to pick up a skin from ourchannel sponsor dBrand,I'm going to be leaving a link to themin the description below. There's currently 20% off all skins. Now we've got a metal framewhich is in this sort ofgold color which does matchthe yellow at the back, and I got to say it feelsvery premium in the hand andbecause the edges are also curved in,it's quite comfortable andthe first impressionstraight away is that thisis so so compact,it kind of like fitsnicely in my hand anyway, and that's because we've gota 5.8 inch display on here,as opposed to the larger displayson the S10 and the S10+.And not only is the displaysmaller compared to theS10 and the S10+,it's also got a flat displaywhereas we've got curveddisplays on the others. We've had curved displayson the Galaxy S devicesfor the past couple ofyears now so it's greatthat Samsung are bringingback a flat display, because I know a lot of peoplewho prefer flat displays.Curved displays look super super sexy butnot everybody finds thempractical or useful,so I'm glad that theynow do have this option, its a beautiful display,we've got minimal bezels, and say that they are alittle bit thicker comparedto the S10 and S10+,and then we've got that punch out. With the front facing camera,Samsung once again hasthe wallpaper darkertowards the top right handcorner so you don't noticeit as much and I have to say,I'm not really mindingthe punch outs on the S10+after using it for a couple of weeks,it's something that yousort of kind of forgetbecause it is tucked away in the corner. Now for the display you dohave dynamic AMOLED technology,I've already been onrecord to say that the S10+has the best mobile displayon the market right now,and this is also really really nice, however you don't get the same resolution, you've got full HD plus on here, whereas you've got quad HDplus on the S10 and S10+,but I got to say it stilllooks absolutely beautiful andit's still very verycrisp because of the smallscreen size, you're notreally losing out on too muchon too much PPI pixel density. Now one other thing withthe S10e is you do geta pre applied screen protector.Samsung don't usuallydo this but it's greatthat we do have one included,it's a plastic screen protector. Now my S10+ did also havea plastic screen protectorbut it actually had a cutout for theultrasonic fingerprint scanner. This is not the case herebecause we don't havean ultrasonic fingerprintscanner on the S10e.Now this punch out cameraat the front is thesame as what we've goton the S10 and the S10+,which is 10 megapixels, with an f1.9 aperture, however you don't get thesecondary depth camerathat you also get on the S10+.Now this is something thatI'm definitely interested in,how much of an effectis that going to have onlive focus from the front facing camera,I'll definitely let you guys know,I think the S10+ doesan absolutely great jobat edge detection, oneof the best out there, and I do think that'sthanks to that depth camera,it will be interestingto see how this performs. As with the other models youdo get 4K UHD video recordingfrom the front facing camera,so if you're somebody into vlogging, the S10e is still goingto be great option. Now the fingerprint scannerisn't within the displayso where is it,well its here on the righthand side of the power button, now I do think its a little bit high up,but because the device is quite compactand easy to use in one hand, you can reach it pretty easily, you just have to give it a quick tap andit's going to unlock for you,you can either do thisfrom the lock screen orwhen you just press thebutton from when the deviceis off it's straightaway going to let you in,and I got to say it's super fast,it is actually faster compared to theultrasonic fingerprint scanner, but that is one of thecompromises you have to makewith an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, because it is on the display,so something that youguys might actually preferthis quicker fingerprintscanner here on the righthand side of the S10e asopposed to what we've goton the S10 and the S10+.On the left hand sidethere's the volume rocker, and the Bixby button. Now the good news is thisyear, if you don't like Bixby, you can remap this, so a singlepress is going to maybe likeopen the camera or another app.You can't get it to openGoogle Assistant however,so that's something to bear in mind, but it is nice that you'vegot more options this year.At the bottom there is a 3.5mmjack as I mentioned earlier, there's a USB type C port, there is a bottom firing speaker,we've got another front firingspeaker in the earpiece,at the top there is a sim card tray, now as well as yoursim card there is spacehere for a micro-SD card soyou can expand the storagein this and it already comeswith a base of 128 gigabyteswith 6 gigabytes of RAM,there's also another option available with8 gigabytes of RAM and256 gigabytes of storage,so storage should reallynot be a problem hereon the S10e.Now lets take a look at the back. Now this is where we'vegot another big differencecompared to the S10 and S10+.And that's because theS10e has two camerasas opposed to three. The primary camera is12 megapixels and it hasa variable aperture so it'sgoing to switch betweenf1.5 and f2.4 depending onthe light in your scene,it's got optical image stabilization,dual-pixel autofocus, all of the good stuff, now the secondary camera, this is quite interesting, because traditionallyfor a secondary cameraSamsung has always optedfor a telephoto camera, where it's going to giveyou two times optical zoom, not here on the S10e,you have that amazing 16megapixels ultra-wide camera. Now I absolutely love this on the S10+,it's probably been one of myfavorite things on the phone. And I'm so so gladSamsung have opted for theultra wide rather than thetelephoto here on the secondarycamera of the S10e.It's got an f2.2 apertureand if you do buy the S10e,I'm pretty sure you'regoing to be super happywith this ultra wide. The only thing that you're missing out onis that telephoto camerawhich you get on theS10 and the S10+.It might not be a bigdeal for a lot of people. We still have IP 68 waterand dust resistance, and internally this is either powered bythe Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor,or Samsung's Exynos 9820,this is going to varydepending on your region.I've only had a chance totest out the Exynos versionso far, I'm hoping to get hold of aQualcomm Snapdragon 855 version, and if you do want tosee some comparisons ofthe Exynos versus the Snapdragondefinitely let me knowin the comments below.Software wise we do have one UI.And I've really been liking one UI,its very clean and it'salso very smooth and it'svery very easy to use with one hand,so for instance, I'mhere in my notifications,I can just swipe down tobring everything down,so I can swipe down anywhereand it just makes thingsso much more reachable,if I go into messaging, then once again I havethis header here so Ican reach everything herewith my thumb, and this is more so thecase with the S10e becauseof its overall smaller size. For the battery it's3100mAH which is a prettydecent size for this phone. We've got wireless charging 2.0,which is pretty fast, but we've also got wireless powershare, this is where you canuse your S10e to chargeother cheat enabled devices. And there we have it guys, that is the S10e, finally in the house,I'm so excited to test this out more. What videos would you likeme to do with the S10e,definitely let me knowin the comments below, and if you want to see all ofthose new videos that come upstraight away then besure to subscribe and hitthat bell icon so youdon't miss any coverage.I hope you enjoyed thisvideo and found it useful,if you did then do hit thatthumbs up button for me,thanks for watchingthe Saf on SuperSaf TV,and ill see you next time.(Electronic music)\n"
