Introduction to Olo Clip

hi everyone Aaron here for zolot and we're going to take a look at a brand new product from ollip similar product but new to the Galaxy S4 and S5 they're 4- in-one lenses if come to these devices and that should be really nice for those of you that have an Android S4 S5 so you can see this is the Olo clip.

The Olo Clip: A New Product from Ollip

For those of you that are unfamiliar with Olo clip they've been making lenses for the iPhone for quite a few years now and they've brought the product to Android finally. The product basically has two different lenses what you get here is a fisheye lens wide angle lens and then if you unscrew these you've got a macro lens on this side you've got 10x on this side you've got 15x so it's really nice.

The Design of the Olo Clip

What you've got is this simple clip it's actually plastic and then the rest of it's metal and it Clips onto your S4 or S5 depending which one you order and what you do is just slide it on here and it does work with a screen protector or without if you had a case you're probably going to want to remove the case as you need to get the lens right up nice and tight to the lens of the camera itself.

Using the Olo Clip

And then what you do is just take this off we'll unlock go into our camera app and you can see this is a fishy lens so it's pretty neat and you've got this fisheye effect which is really nice looking and and then you've got macro lenses as well. Now the product is kind of expensive I'll take this off and I'll show you a macro shot as well I've got a Galaxy or a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 here and we'll get up nice and close with this lens.

The Macro Lens

Now you can see oh one out of the camera app here now you can see with macro we can get up pretty close to these let's get up closer and you can see how pixelated everything looks and this is a really high density display underneath here so you can see all the pixels everything looks really nice as far as closeness you can do the same with a piece of fabric and it looks kind of neat.

The Limitations of the Macro Lens

Now you will need a little bit more light when you get this close and it is hard to focus you've got to kind of get the right distance but once you do that there we go you can see the little weave in the fabric itself so you can get really nice and close. Again that's 15x so that that's really nice and close and then you have 10x on this side as well just screw these back on and then you can switch to wide angle as well.

The Quality of the Lenses

The lenses are made of glass as well so they're not really cheap lenses they're really nice high quality and that's accounts for some of the price of this little accessory comes in around $70. If we spin this around you'll see now we've got a wide angle lens and it looks really nice and the quality from the lens is really good so it's not like you're getting plastic cheap lenses you're getting really nice high quality lenses that seem to hold up really well as as well.

Conclusion

The Olo Clip seems to be a nice accessory for Android devices, especially those with a Galaxy or Samsung Galaxy Note 3. However, the product is quite expensive and there are some limitations to using the macro lens, such as needing more light and having to get the right distance for focus. Nevertheless, the lenses seem to be of high quality and would provide good results for taking pictures of small objects.
