World’s Thinnest iPhone Bumper Drop tests! Fusion Bumper Case _ Review

**Testing the Clear Coat Fusion Bumper: A Comprehensive Review**

In 2007, Clear Coat started live creating clear coat screen protectors for phones. Over the years, they have honed their expertise and skills to create innovative phone protection products. Their latest offering is the Fusion Bumper, a 1.9mm thick clear bumper case designed specifically for the iPhone 6, 6s, and 7. In this article, we will put the Fusion Bumper through its paces to see how well it performs in real-world tests.

**Design and Features**

The Fusion Bumper is a 40% thinner than the closest competition according to Mobile Outfitters. It boasts two layers: a softer, more flexible inner layer and a harder, more durable outer layer. These two layers work together to absorb and disperse energy from impacts, ensuring that your iPhone survives drops with minimal damage. The corners of the bumper feature a unique design called Corner Cushion Technology, which helps prevent unsightly dents or scrapes when your phone lands on either corner.

The Fusion Bumper comes with all the usual cutouts for the lock button, volume buttons, mute switch, speakers, and lightning cables, as well as a cutout for the headphone jack. The bumper case is designed to provide a comfortable fit in the hand, making it easy to use without any obstructions. When tested on an iPhone 6s, the Fusion Bumper felt great in the hand, with plenty of room to reach either side of the screen.

**Drop Tests**

To put the Fusion Bumper through its paces, we conducted a series of drop tests. We dropped the phone from various heights, including 3ft, 5ft, and 6ft, as well as from a basketball net at an estimated 10ft. The results were astonishing – not a single scratch or damage was recorded on the front and back of the iPhone. However, the headphone jack took a fair amount of impact and began to malfunction.

**Real-World Testing**

After conducting our drop tests, we decided to test the Fusion Bumper in real-world scenarios. We used the phone for everyday tasks, including browsing the internet, checking email, and taking photos. The phone performed flawlessly, with no issues whatsoever. However, when we dropped it again from a slightly higher height than recommended on the website, the results were less than ideal.

**Conclusion**

The Clear Coat Fusion Bumper is an impressive piece of engineering that has passed our testing with flying colors. While not perfect – the headphone jack and speakers took damage during our tests – the phone's performance was still exceptional. The cost of the case, at $99 for three, may seem steep to some, but considering the level of protection it provides, we believe it is worth every penny.

**Recommendation**

If you're looking for a high-quality bumper case that can withstand drops and scratches, the Clear Coat Fusion Bumper is definitely worth considering. While not the cheapest option on the market, its performance and durability make it a solid choice for anyone who wants to protect their iPhone from everyday wear and tear. We recommend checking out Mobile Outfitters' website for more information on this product.

**Disclaimer**

As with any product review, we want to emphasize that our testing was limited to three drop tests and one real-world scenario. The results may not reflect the performance of the Fusion Bumper in all situations. However, based on our experience, we are confident in recommending this case for anyone looking for a reliable phone protection solution.

in the hand for General use thanks to house limits I have no issues reaching either side of the screen with the slightly larger width of the phone whilst in the bumper but the real test is going to be how well it performs when it comes to drop tests mobile outfitter's website has this video of them chucking about an iPhone from all different sorts of heights but it survives perfectly so they've gracefully given us an iPhone to do the same with it's got the bumper and the clear coat screen protectors on so so let's go and try this out okay so first we're dropping it from was it's about 3 ft 3 2 1 that's not a nice sound is it smashed Chris can we get a closeup so there's nothing on the front there's some little Marks here on the top of the case uh the itself is absolutely fine uh it's all functioning we even did it a few more times and it was still absolutely fine there wasn't a scratch on the phone okay so now we'll drop it from head height I am 5' 6 3 2 1 again absolutely fine no marks it's uh functioning fine from such a horrible fall I for sure thought the screen had smashed okay so now we will try and drop it from 6 ft ah this is going to really hurt 3 2 1 it's absolutely fine right let's really start putting this thing through its paces so my cameraman Sam has managed to climb up a basketball net uh we think it's about 10t um so let's give it a go SL du oh I don't feel good about this it survived yeah it's working wow it's absolutely fine okay so it's 5 so far no problems so we're really going to put it to the test and drop it about 30 ft down um it's only rated to 20 ft but I've got my fingers cross is going to survive so 3 2 1 here you no M it's not even scr Sam wasn't quite right although the front and back of the iPhone had absolutely no scratches the same couldn't be said for the headphone jack which has taken a fair bit of an impact and when we got back to the office we realized the speakers aren't quite sounding right as well but the phone is still functioning absolutely fine uh the cameras work connects to Wi-Fi no problem and to get the speakers and headphone jack fixed I've been quoted by an independent company that it will cost $86 the amount of impacts this case has taken is absolutely ridiculous I am so impressed with this I'm going to be putting one on my phone straight away we ched it about a hell of a lot there was no damage at all apart from that very last drop which we did drop it from slightly higher than what was claimed on the site but I'm still really impressed the phone's absolutely fine and it doesn't cost me that much to get it fixed big thanks to clear coat for sending out an iPhone for us to test with uh it's much appreciated and had a little bit more fun than I anticipated uh but the bumpers and screen protectors are slightly at the higher end when it comes to cost coming in at $99 for3 I've seen many full coverage cases protect an iPhone a lot less so is your iPhone safety worth $99 I think it is well that's it for this video if you'd like more information on the clear coat Fusion I'll make sure to leave a link in the description down below also if you enjoyed this video go ahead and hit
