**Article: A Comprehensive Review of the Scuffed Vantage Controller**

### **Introduction to the Scuffed Vantage Controller**

The gaming world has seen a surge in high-end controllers designed to enhance both performance and personalization. Among these, the Scuffed Vantage controller stands out as a top-tier option, praised for its advanced features and customization options. This article delves into every aspect of the Scuffed Vantage, providing an in-depth look at its design, functionality, and value.

### **Unboxing Experience**

The unboxing experience sets the tone for any premium product, and the Scuffed Vantage delivers a luxurious feel right from the start. The packaging is sleek and sturdy, with a focus on quality that immediately impresses users. Inside, you'll find more than just the controller—it’s a comprehensive package designed to enhance your gaming setup.

Included in the box are several accessories: a t-shirt, lanyard, and other branded items. Of particular note are the swappable faceplates—metallic red, black, and silver options that add a touch of personalization right out of the box. The controller is accompanied by a 10-foot braided micro USB cable, a compact carrying case (exclusive to the wireless version), and a selection of optional accessories like scuff keys for thumbsticks and triggers.

The unboxing process feels premium, with clear literature provided that guides users through setup and customization options.

### **Design and Features**

The Scuffed Vantage follows ergonomic principles inspired by the Xbox One, offering a familiar yet upgraded design. Its shape and layout are intuitive, making it comfortable for extended gaming sessions.

One of the standout features is the inclusion of Side Action Buttons (S1 and S2) on the sides, which add functionality without compromising on space. These buttons can be programmed for quick actions like reloading or navigating menus, enhancing gameplay efficiency.

The controller also boasts a touchpad located at the bottom, designed for adjusting headset audio. However, it’s important to note that this feature only works when the controller is connected via USB and paired with a wired headset. While this limits its wireless usability, it still serves as a useful tool for those who prefer wired connections.

---

### **Customization Options**

The Scuffed Vantage excels in customization, offering swappable faceplates, thumbsticks, and trigger covers. The magnetic faceplates are easy to switch, allowing users to change the controller’s look without hassle. The included metallic red, black, and silver plates provide a sleek aesthetic, though some users may notice a slight blue tint on the silver option.

Thumbstick customization is another highlight, with options for different sizes and convex/concave shapes. These can be easily swapped using the provided accent rings, adding both style and functionality. Trigger covers further enhance the controller’s personalization potential, catering to individual preferences.

The removable rumble packs add flexibility for those who prefer a lighter controller. Each pack weighs 28 grams, reducing the total weight to 221 grams when removed.

---

### **Physical Comfort and Performance**

Ergonomics play a crucial role in gaming comfort, and the Scuffed Vantage excels here with its rubber-textured back paddles that improve grip. The trigger hair feature allows for quicker shots by avoiding full trigger compression, adding to the controller’s precision.

The thumbsticks and triggers are designed for smooth operation, offering a satisfying tactile response. Remappable back paddles add versatility, allowing users to assign any button function to them, enhancing control and efficiency.

---

### **Compatibility and Additional Features**

While primarily designed for PS4, the Scuffed Vantage is PC-compatible with planned driver updates for future compatibility. It’s worth noting that, at release, it isn’t compatible with PC but this will be addressed soon.

The controller supports swapping with existing accessories from previous models, ensuring compatibility for those looking to maintain a consistent setup.

---

### **Pricing and Value**

Priced at $169 for the wired version and $199 for the wireless model (with an extra $30 for customization), the Scuffed Vantage is positioned as a premium product. Compared to competitors like the Xbox One Elite, which lacks some features, the Scuffed Vantage offers more value despite its higher cost.

For enthusiasts seeking top-tier performance and personalization, the investment is justified. The controller’s durability and extensive customization options make it a worthwhile purchase for those who demand excellence in their gaming peripherals.

---

### **Conclusion**

The Scuffed Vantage controller represents a significant leap forward in gaming technology, offering unmatched customization, comfort, and performance. Its advanced features, such as swappable faceplates, touchpad functionality, and ergonomic design, set it apart from competitors. While the price is steep, the value lies in its ability to meet high-end demands, making it an excellent choice for serious gamers.

Whether you’re a PC gamer or console enthusiast, the Scuffed Vantage delivers an unparalleled gaming experience, earning its status as one of the best controllers available today.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enwhat's up guys I'm random Frank P and this is the scuffed Vantage and it is hands-down the best controller I have ever used for ps4 and it's PC compatible this thing is crazy with all I can do so let's check it out for you guys so for this this is the pr package they send out well take a look at it real quick and yeah so as you can see there is a lot included here if through and some things like swag with I got a t-shirt a lanyard all that kind of stuff but what's interesting here is the Vantage has you swappable faceplates that I actually had no idea of just included a few of those here for us maybe metallic red one they also include a metallic black one I'll show you more about this in a minute and how you use it and stuff we also have some color-coordinated accessories like the the thumbsticks triggers and their own boxes and stuff like that let's skip ahead to the actual unboxing because that's where the consumers are gonna be actually getting when they buy one of these and still gonna deliver a premium feeling unboxing with the quality they put into this so as he open it up you have some literature here but the controller is just staring there right at you saying precision and control in every direction but when I first saw it my first impression was just like damn this thing is nice it looks nice it feels nice but more on this stuff in a minute also inside the box you have an included carrying case for bringing this with you on the go or their be to a friend's house or something like that this is only included if you buy the wireless version I should know but inside here they also have a few things one is your 10-foot braided micro USB cable plus this little pill looking thing which I assume is for like carrying your accessories around so they don't get misplaced also inside the box they include some optional stock accessory for your controller like these scuff key you have their d-pad disc thumb sticks trigger covers then you're gonna have your product guide it's gonna break everything down for you alright now let's take a more in-depth look at the controller it does follow the ergonomics of an Xbox one of the color in the way that its shaped the joysticks are laid out with some new additions here are the sides Saks buttons and a touch pad on the bottom here for adjusting headset audio and we saw the remappable paddles on the back side but as I showed before with these new face plates it really makes customizing very simple we have the silver one that came stocked with it metallic black and metallic red plates which were included in my PR package but you'll also be able to pick up color accessories like the thumb sticks and d-pad which are also very easy to swap out we also have things like different size and convex or concave thumb sticks for your preference plus a little matching thumb stick accent rings around it and different trigger covers all that stuff that you're used to and while the plates are magnetic it doesn't feel loose or anything doesn't feel like it's gonna fall off while you're gaming you actually have to press up on the bottom of the plate for them to come off so you can see the exposed skeleton and the controller here which I think looks pretty cool and now one thing you can do is actually remove the vibration modules in the handles they snap in and out of place very easily and removing these rumble packs and controllers through scuff was always an option in the past when customizing to make them later but now you can easily do it these little mini grenades each weigh about 28 grams so without them total the controller weighs 221 grams but in terms of just looks I think the Vantage is crazy-crazy nice one thing I want to point out is the metallic silver faceplate does look slightly blue to me I don't know if that's a product of like you know really manufacturing or something like that but it does look more blue and silver it to my eyes not a huge problem but I'm on the website the metallic silver faceplate definitely looks more silver than what we have here but you know for me personally I'm not really a big fan of the color red but this red faceplate I think just looks crazy cool here I'll really love the color of this that's gonna open doors later on down the line for them to release you know different colored face plates and different themes like I said so they can be putting out faceplate so you can pick up stand alone for maybe you know theme like black ops or having logos your favorite and all G teams all that good stuff another note real quick before you move on is you can use the control with your ps4 obviously in your PC but as of now at release it is not compatible with PC they're gonna be updating their drivers and stuff later on down the line so you can then use it for PC gaming but as I'm now at release it's not available yet another quick note I even use my previous scuffed thumb sticks that I had and they were compatible at this so if you already have certain colors you want to match with your advantage you can do that let's also take a look at some of the physical features of the controller I won't spend too much time on the back paddles because odds are you very familiar with them by now as you remap any button to these back four so you don't so take your fingers on the joysticks and triggers and they only sound so satisfying like you can't you can't beat that we still have trigger hair which essentially let you get shots off quicker because you don't have to bottom the trigger out this way you can just press it right to the point where it actually it's you no longer need a tool do it you can just do it with your fingers but one new thing here are these new Saks buttons located on the sides the other triggers up top now when I first saw this I thought that I'd be accidentally pressing these all the time but it hasn't happened to me once very happy to report they're labeled s1 and s2 on the controller and they can be fully got quick you know reload or maybe plugging up a map in the game just things like that but now you have these two additional buttons then one of the biggest additions that I haven't really seen on any other controller around is the addition of this touchpad on the bottom this is men so you could slide left and right to adjust your headset volume of the game however there are a few limitations when using this pad which is kind of a bummer um one you have to have this wired in order for it to work so you need to have your micro USB cable plugged into your ps4 and second the touchpad only works with a wired headset so if you have a wireless headset paired to your ps4 you can't actually control the volume in the chat with the Vantage controller here so that's definitely a bummer I'm someone nine times out of 10 who prefers to sit back and you know use this wirelessly but yeah we are limited here you're still obviously gonna have audio being passed through the controller when you don't have your micro USB cable plugged in just the touchpad won't work but if your headset or headphones already had you know inline controls and you're not gonna be really missing out on anything so overall my experience with this has been tops like this is one of the best controllers I have ever used I love the ergonomics and feel in my hands having that rubber texture on the back of the paddles only makes it feel better for my grip the removable rumble packs is a huge plus for people who like your lighter controller you have two extra buttons in addition to the four paddles already on the back and the actual customization has never been easier to swappable faceplates that's for a con it's not a huge deal but I'm still kind of bummed at that you can't use that touch pad wirelessly I assume there's some technical reason of why I won't be able to transmit you know audio and stuff if it's not plugged directly into your ps4 it's still just a bummer so what's the catch here what's the deal breaker well this starts at 169 for the wired version 199 for the wireless plus an additional $30 for customizing if you want to make this like you know blue or pink at checkout so definitely a lot of money and when you compare that out there to the Xbox one elite controller kind of like you know the competition for this sort of since I love controller that launched at 150 but when that you didn't have the side buttons you didn't have the the touch pads you didn't have the bull vibration modules and you didn't have stoppable faceplates so here you are getting more for your money and for you know a high-end controller like this you're gonna want those extra features we're just gonna make it a better controller in the end and while two hundred dollars does seem like a lot compared that to you know PC gaming where a lot of times high-end gaming mice so she's like wireless ones they could be anywhere from 120 to 150 and premium you know crazy high-end keyboard so I'm like razer corsair they're around $200 as well not to mention even like enthusiast keyboards going from like two to four hundred dollars so if you're looking for a premium accessory for you know your gaming experience you know this top of the level peripheral then $200 really isn't gonna be that bad of a pickup if you value all the features this has built in and also like I said later on down the line they're gonna be releasing additional faceplates and stuff like that so you can really customize it even more and then pick up those later on down the line to even you know make it exactly how you want so you're gonna be spending some money on this but I feel like if you need a high-end controller then this is hands-down the best option out there it's my all-time favorite I've loved it and there's nothing that even comes close to this really definitely recommend it if you need a high-end peripheral like this for console gaming and you can switch it up use it for PC all that stuff so that'll wrap it up for my review of the scuffed Vantage I hope you enjoyed if you did give this video a thumbs up saw your support feel free to follow me on Twitter at random Frank P and last if you haven't already hit that subscribe button well I'm random Frank P hope you enjoyed have a good daywhat's up guys I'm
