BURGER KING'S Lucky Charms & Froot Loops MILKSHAKE Taste Test

A Car Edition Taste Test: Burger King's Breakfast Cereal Themed Milkshakes

As I sit in my car, I'm excited to taste-test Burger King's new breakfast cereal themed milkshakes. These unique treats come in two flavors: Lucky Charms and Froot Loops. Let's start by identifying which one is which.

I've been given both milkshakes, but I've mixed them up, so I'll have to use my taste buds to figure out which is which. Looking at the color and consistency, I'm going to start with the Lucky Charms flavor first. This one has little rainbow flecks in it, which I assume are the marshmallow bits from the cereal. All right, let's take a sip and see if this captures the distinctive flavor of Lucky Charms.

As soon as the milkshake touches my tongue, I'm hit with a wave of sweetness and vanilla flavors. There's no distinct grain or cereal taste, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. In fact, it allows me to focus on the overall sweetness overload, which is perfect for a breakfast treat like this. The marshmallow bits are also a nice touch, adding a fun texture to the milkshake. I think if I was blindfolded, I wouldn't even pick up on the fact that this is based on Lucky Charms cereal, but in a good way! The sweetness overload works well here, and I can see why this would be popular with both kids and adults.

Now that we've established which one is the Lucky Charms flavor, let's move on to the Froot Loops milkshake. As I look at it, I notice it doesn't have quite the same distinctive rainbow bits as the other, although you can still see them through the cup. This one tastes like a vanilla base with a very signature Froot Loops flavor - kind of lemony and fruity to me. If I was blindfolded, I would know for sure that this is Froot Loops without a doubt.

One thing I notice about the Froot Loops milkshake is that it doesn't taste as sweet as the Lucky Charms one. Instead, it has a more balanced flavor profile that still captures the essence of Froot Loops. This makes sense because we're not adding any ground-up cereal bits to this one like we did with the Lucky Charms.

As I continue to savor both milkshakes, I realize that these are perfect for those times when you want a sweet treat after breakfast - like finishing off a bowl of cereal with a splash of milk. They're easy to drink and refreshing, making them an ideal way to fatten up your thighs (in a good way!). While the Froot Loops one is not as sweet as I expected, it still captures that last little dregs of cereal and milk in your bowl at the end of breakfast.

On a completely different note, while we're on food-themed topics, let's talk about Burger King's attempt to create a breakfast cereal themed cheese puffed cheese ball. It's called the "Mac 'n Cheese Bites," but honestly, I wasn't impressed. The outside is crunchy, which is nice, but the inside tastes mostly like oil and grease with just a hint of macaroni and cheese sauce. There's no gooey, oozy goodness to be found here - just a texture that feels cloying and unpleasant.

So there you have it - my thoughts on Burger King's breakfast cereal themed milkshakes! Let me know in the comments if you'd like me to taste-test anything else in the car.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enGreetings my lovelies. Hi, it's Emmy. I am in my car once again. Today,I'll be tasting Burger King's new breakfast cereal themed Milkshakes, and they come in two flavors. They come in Lucky charms and Froot loops. So here, they are!Oh. Which one is which though? He gave me lucky charms first, but now I've mixed them up.So I'm just going to taste them and see if I can figure out which is whichThey're both in this kind of vanilla based with this kind of Rainbow color to itI'm going to say that this one is a lucky charm, so let's try that one firstSo the lucky charms has these little rainbow flecks in there, which I am assuming are the marshmallow bitsRight? All right, let's give that a taste. Here we go, cheers.Hmm -- and that is a lucky charm. Mm, It's pretty tasty. That's pretty stinking good, really creamy and rich.Very sweet and you get little bits of the marshmallow in thereI'm trying to figure out if this captured that distinctive lucky charms flavorWhich has that kind of oaty cereal, and of course very, very sweet marshmallows.Which are a little bit crunchy. For me, the whole experience of lucky charms cereal is those crunchy marshmallow bits?In the cereal and,Because it is all pulverized and pureed together you don't really get that sensation, but why would you it's a milkshake? But I think it captures the flavor pretty well. I'm not detecting any of that kind of grain or cereal flavorJust a lot of sweetness and vanilla flavorsAnd I think if I was blindfolded I don't think I would pick up on the fact that this isbased on Lucky Charm cereal. But the sweetness overload actually works for me in this because when I think of breakfast cerealAnd I think of drinking the milk at the very end of a bowl of cereal,It is that sweetness overload, it is that treat at the very end of your meal and so I think it works here! And the little Marshmallow bits are really really friendly and yeah, I think this would be popular with the kids --adults too.Alright, so this must be the Fruit Loop one. Let's give this one a tasteThis one too is very foamy and creamy on topIt doesn't have quite the distinctive rainbow bits as the other although you can see them kind of through the cup.I don't remember there being purple fruit loops, do you? Maybe that's changed since I had fruit loops. Alright, let's give that a go.Oh, yeah. On the money. On the money. Like you just dumped a bunch of fruit loops and just whiz it up in a vanilla base.Totally fruit loops.A vanilla base but it has that distinctive very signature fruit loop flavor, which is kind of lemony to meFruity and Lemony, on the money. If I was blindfolded, I would know for sure that this is fruit loops. Mm-hmm.If you love fruit loops -- right here.So the fruit loop ones doesn't taste as sweet to me as a lucky charmsBut that makes sense because this is loaded with ground-up marshmallowsWhile this is just that you know sugar-coated cereal. This spot on captures the last little dregs ofcereal and milk in your bowl at the end of breakfast, of course in form of milkshake,so it's easy to drink and it's cool and refreshing and a really great way to fatten up your thighsSo while I was at Burger King, I had to pick up this.I didn't have them on the first round and these are the mac and cheetos. These are Mac and cheese sticks that have been deep fried in a coating of ground-up, cheetos. Right? Obscene, right? So here they are. Here's the box very nicely themed. And it says MacNCheetos, and this is what they look like inside. They give you five, and they look like cheetos, like giant cheetos and shape kind of like thesepickle sausage shapeand they're crispy.Let's break one in half and see what's inside, ooh!Pretty dry. Drier than I expected. So they're breaded with ground-up cheetos, and that's supposed to be Mac and cheese inside.Yeah, I see some noodle. In appearance, it looks a lot like a puffy cheeto. Let's give it a taste.Hmmm. I, I don't care for that at allIt tastes very artificial fake cheese flavor kind of permeates this whole thing. The inside is kind of soft and pasty, but a little bit dry? There's definitely pasta in there, and there's a lot of that mac and cheese sauce in there, but it's not oozy at all.I was hoping you'd be kind of rich and oozy. instead. It just kind of caked together, kind of globby. And texturally, It doesn't really work for meThe outside; it is crunchyBut I would like more of substantial crunch, a nice creamy mac and cheese sauce but instead, this is just kind of goopy. And the outside --Mm-Hmm.It's a little bit crunchy. But tastes mostly of kind of oil and grease and not much of cheeto.Maybe if this was rolled in more cheeto dust after it was deep-friedI would get more of that cheeto essence. Although my fingers do have a little bit of cheeto powder on them.It doesn't feel or taste very cheeto-y. In fact, it just tastes really greasy andcloying and just all-around unpleasant.
