As I sat in my garage, surrounded by tools and parts, I couldn't help but think that working on my truck was going to be an easy task. the wire trying to get this thing running for Formula Drift Dan look at how sick the truck looks with the trailer sick I don't remember if I told you guys this or not but I can actually have my Porsche right after I just got it and custom made me a Bolton gauge for it unfortunately as you can see we got rained out on the Dino the Dino was not cooperating with us I think because of the humidity since it's about to rain and the car actually we had the wrong spark plugs in there that weren't communicating right with the ECU sorry we weren't able to fully tune it but it does sound a lot smoother and I do think it's gonna be a lot safer now with all these new sensors and stuff I've had the most amazing night it's it's funny I've had so much help and so much people constantly everyday and it's really amazing but I've been losing the sense of personal accomplishment if it is I don't know the word that I'm looking for but it was just so satisfying just spending a few hours at the shop it's nice weather out peaceful quiet worked on master tiin got it all super clean spent a lot of time washing it and making it look really really nice got it loaded up for some fun I even fixed the splitter on the side I showed you guys that the splitter on the S 15 - and I've just been kind of hanging out listening to music eating some raspberries and look at the inside I clean the inside made it look all nice and pretty it's nice just to take time and just kind of relax and sometimes doing the mindless stuff I hate that I need to shut this sometimes it's cool doing mindless stuff like kind of some people get a lot of satisfaction I like mowing lawns I really like washing cars so I've been thinking to have Shulman helped me a lot with like cleaning cars and stuff because I never have time but I feel like it's one of those things I should just make time for because it it's like the only time where my day is not go go go and I can actually take a second and breathe if you will so I don't know if this is gonna be the same video if this will be tomorrow's video but we are doing some more truck stuff at my house early early tomorrow morning so we're gonna call it an early night and we're gonna get that thing even cooler than it already is got some more mods for it coming but this is gonna be the last of the aesthetic stuff so I'm soaked believe it or not I haven't gotten a chance to drive the truck yet with a new leveling kit and the new wheels so I'm actually pretty excited I'm taking a home tonight since we're working on tomorrow Tommy's been driving around using it for errand so I haven't gotten a chance how many gets to drive this sweet truck around but I'm so hyped on how it looks I'm finally proud to drive around this truck instead of embarrassed to drive around some stock look how high it is obviously at night isn't the best comparison of anything but it doesn't feel really any different driving around right away I'm gonna listen though to see if we notice any tire noise because that was a big concern of mine so we're going about 50 miles an hour right now and I hear the slightest noise and barely hear is just like a faint sure if I rolled on my window it's not even that done they're super super quiet it'll probably a little bit more noticeable going fast but honestly I always Drive this truck with music on and yeah I'm not I'm kind of used to my car's make a lot of noises so I'm very happy boys up at 8 a.m. I think that's new records or truck stuff all right so this is Rob from vfn truck shop who just drove her up from Fort Lauderdale they said right yeah I can't I can't ever say Fort Lauderdale yeah fart laude all right and he came up his company does a lot with paint matched stuff for trucks I was gonna say Ford's but I'm sure you do it for like dodges and Chevy's and stuff - yeah or just maybe yeah so anyway he came up he's had this stuff sitting in his garage for a while to do on the truck and he's gonna help me install everything to make sure that I don't do any dumb things brake clips and mess things up we're gonna make a little bit of videos trying to show you guys so if you do it on your own truck that you'll be able to tackle it yourself so I'm good cool seven millimeters the one thing I don't have I'm so excited for this back black I remember with my Ruby truck I would see people that have them black with their Ruby lettering and then they're just always looks so cool so you said your cousin does these all by hand with all the letters and everything it's so cool but it's really gonna transform the look of the truck it's pretty much takes care of everything we got the mirror caps got the door handles all the badges those little emblems and then this stuff and then the only stuff that'll be left that we can just have vinyl wrapped would just be like this actual edge here so I guess you could call it blacking out the truck but without blocking it out because that'd look lame these are the little guys that you just pry up right there's all these little plastic little things yep I'll give you a hand I'm gonna pull them up let me actually take the camera off the tripod so I can have it up there I can just imagine - like I said like I mean I would I was nervous the first time I was working on this but like it just gives you that little extra confidence to just see someone else do it so you can be like okay yeah this clip is terrible you're probably going to break it so someone doesn't panic the second they do you know so we got all these little Clips up Rob just so you know since I am helping today we're probably gonna run into a couple difficulties just because I tend to break everything I touch yep all right so let's guy exactly and that gives you access to the goal I assume yeah so this upper piece Interpol's oh good luck I don't have a 10 mil min hope you brought one of course isn't bring any my fancy little impacts now you got to be gentle when you're pulling this off once you get this top piece off is the 360 camera in the front here mm-hmm and a little windshield washer corner which I don't know if you know this but every time you press it once you clean your windshield a little thing comes out of here and cleans your camera what yeah leave it to Ford once that's freed what's next all right there's really no easy way to do this there's one two three four clips on the bottom pull that way that's all that's holding the grill on these four bolts and there's four clips down here see all right well like I said when you pull it off you got to be careful because this is still attached so you just pull oh I understand hop-hop and then once you get it off you go reach in there and just connect this yeah this is the part I would have my step it's okay I'll cut it if you don't get a first try now it's off c1 this one stuck in so I'll just pop it up this one's not getting this much that's it and then this is still attached to we gonna miss connect when when Ford sells these to us mm-hmm they only include the camera so there's really no way for me to get it quarters without a kingdom oh wow I didn't realize so when you buy a new one of these it literally comes with the camera installed right now must be expensive so yeah the only exactly four charges are nice and problems what are these costs to 20 apiece I suppose about as I think no and then so the camera is already in there but your your washer sport or thing as well we have to remove out of the factory oval and put it back into the new oval so that we're gonna replace that'll be the next part so if you pull those two screws out is there like a little clip or something in there no clip and then camera comes out like that but it's just getting this little piece off right here what's the trick there's no real trick yeah just a little bit of pressure in a comfortable separates off once this piece is out you just these two little pieces right here you just push them in and push this whole assembly up and it's out line up the slot boom now we'll put the new this little piece in this can be a little keep popping it does but not all the way so you gotta take so you just take off these clips and put them back in the grill yep well most grills will already have these clips on there uh-huh plug that stuff in and plug in play use enough then that does a lot for the truck huh see how it looks look at the aggression excuse me I went to black girl does for a truck huh just a little these got their own way of doing this uh-huh I have my way I'm a little more barbaric okay everybody some people want to put painters tape around there and try to get behind it with a screwdriver they don't know for me all I do is I've been basically gonna open the door and I'm gonna start here and I'm just gonna start pulling out those four clips is one two three and a fourth one down here they're gonna come off it just doesn't sound pretty when you're pulling it off so I'll open the door and I'll just get my fingers behind here and just slowly work my way around and then come back around and keep working it around until eventually it pops the top will pop off first and then the sides and then this last book will be the bottom oh yeah just came off you see you bared some of these trucks you'll pull pull pull and they won't come off I barely Paul I barely touch this and this one's art it's good son yeah just be careful when you're pulling them off that you don't yank it so hard young and up taking a clip down the side of the door mm-hmm that's what I do yeah good thing I don't have liability insurance yeah I'm just kidding yeah that does sound terrible huh so clip-clip I see two of them stuck in the truck so we'll just basically pop those out it's not a big deal so you're saying he actually paints the entire piece white first and then does the black fill no these are actually broken down and I can show you because this is like proper pearl white I don't know if you guys can tell this isn't just like you know a flat white the pearls the same clothes the truck so to do that on this emblem and you can't just like paint that by hand I'd think no this um if you look at the back of this one you look at the back of that one basically you break off this piece and then all these little plastic wells and we take every single to grind them down actually all the way down which will free up these letters that's cool so basically everything comes off we take the platinum panel off too and then we'll start spraying if you want this piece one color you want this a different color you want this a different color everything is done individually and then reassemble that's cool he'll let you pop it on top security I need any job security looks so good lock it okay door handle outright you know you know what's gonna happen we're showing people to steal people's door handles right now it's a horrible I'm gonna pull down with this hand up with this hand uh-huh and you'll come this piece don't worry about it it sticks right there didn't break it's worth yep now we're gonna have a bunch of new Fords riding around without door handles people are making that comment I showed how to change the corner reflectors and the gt3 and I was like oh I'm gonna go steal them now yeah please don't do that it's gonna come back to us the EPA I'll shut us down same technique pull down push up easy you see I'd be fumbling with it for like an hour probs like I'm just gonna drive up I don't want to deal this idiot call on me start from there and keep the keys in the truck otherwise you probably lock yourself out door handle is complete there's gonna be so many trucks just riding around with no mere caps no door emblems everything's gonna be stolen all right on these mirror caps there's one two three four five clips that hold this mirror cap in you can take the whole entire mirror out and do the hard way but you can also access this without taking the mirror out at all basically if you push this mirror down or adjusted or whatever he pushed it down you can kind of gain access to these little little push tabs when you push on it it releases the clip so what I'll do is if the mirror cap is here up I'll start on the outer edge and I'll push up push right here and pull off the mirror cap push right here pull it off push right here pull it off till I get over here that's basically gonna make the miracle kind of tilt back like that because you're not gonna reuse these kind of trash anyway I just picked basically and pull it down this clip will just break off and it freed up and then you're just popping it is enough is enough what's out like that uh-huh it's all for these clips are off break the bottom on I just so the the base model trucks actually come with painted mirror caps don't they or maybe they're just black instead of chrome a cool little idea putting the painters tape there just to make sure that you put the new ones in the same spot up lining it up all right I want to see how you pull these off is gonna leave a gooey mess I just get behind me everybody's got they're all I gotta use fishing line I gotta use a heat gun I just pull them off your deer truck has been working pretty easy for me all day don't say that now it would have been cool if you got me one that said Cummins or something just to troll people I was gonna get you Duramax ones really do people do that no oh Elden hilarious I would totally do that punkin somebody yeah well we'll see how long it take for you with a sign back here it's scratched up the truck yeah so the first scratches are the other way so if we mess it up it's all good all right yeah blocked it you got the keys not me so you gotta take all these little Torx bits out or whatever the heck they are all right so you pull that little piece off and it looks like you got access in here these bolts for it and then these clips yeah there's two 10 millimeter bolts that's what you see right here is one here there's all these little plastic whatever so 10 or 12 you lying to me yep you get easy easy you can get them with pliers yep and push it and it kind of gives the bottom of this or top of this a little bit levers to come off but the bottom is behind this and Ford put this nice brace bar whatever you want to call it in here so you can't even access those just gotta we'll send it pull it hopefully you brake a little less than what's on the layers on those clips yeah just squeeze them and push them through and you just kind of work your way so one little trick if you got an extra person to help he's kind of pulling down while I push on these clips because some of them are hard to get to okay I think as I thought this was adhesive Don I didn't realize it was all clipped on you know so all these clips are off down the side or off but you can't get to these back bottom ones here it's got to break him so you just gotta kind of just start Paul is this salvageable after you pull it off yeah imagine this piece isn't cheap from four or five and change those clips that are stopping the grill you said Eric spent the grills are expensive right yeah they're about seven hundred plus well this piece that I'm popping off right here with these clips breaking I've got clips back if they uh yeah I want to film the force that you're putting in this just to give people confident they go to rip theirs off yeah cuz I give a little talk I was like I don't know man safety goggles Wow yeah these are the clips so you're basically pulling those out some of them come out good mandoo the face on that one I should have floated it that was great I'm gonna break his brand-new truck that's all good so yeah posted he's broke here's what it is and then you remember just a little pliers well you just twist them right now if you twist them letting agrees they pull it out that's the piece I'm most excited for the ties it all together look so good imagine it's a bit easier to put in than to take out yeah well the problem is if you don't get it just right yeah break off back off so all in all the process with Rob took about I'd say two hours however doing it myself probably wouldn't closer to three or four just cuz of all the little tricks and stuff but um it looks really good I'm really happy it's something I wanted to I'd be fumbling with it for like an hour probs like I'm just gonna drive up I don't want to deal this idiot call on me start from there and keep the keys in the truck otherwise you probably lock yourself out door handle is complete there's gonna be so many trucks just riding around with no mere caps no door emblems everything's gonna be stolen all right on these mirror caps there's one two three four five clips that hold this mirror cap in you can take the whole entire mirror out and do the hard way but you can also access this without taking the mirror out at all basically if you push this mirror down or adjusted or whatever he pushed it down you can kind of gain access to these little little push tabs when you push on it it releases the clip so what I'll do is if the mirror cap is here up I'll start on the outer edge and I'll push up push right here and pull off the mirror cap push right here pull it off push right here pull it off till I get over here that's basically gonna make the miracle kind of tilt back like that because you're not gonna reuse these kind of trash anyway I just picked basically and pull it down this clip will just break off and it freed up and then you're just popping it is enough is enough what's out like that uh-huh it's all for these clips are off break the bottom on I just so the the base model trucks actually come with painted mirror caps don't they or maybe they're just black instead of chrome a cool little idea putting the painters tape there just to make sure that you put the new ones in the same spot up lining it up all right I want to see how you pull these off is gonna leave a gooey mess I just get behind me everybody's got they're all I gotta use fishing line I gotta use a heat gun I just pull them off your deer truck has been working pretty easy for me all day don't say that now it would have been cool if you got me one that said Cummins or something just to troll people I was gonna get you Duramax ones really do so you pull that little piece off and it looks like you got access in here these bolts for it and then these clips yeah there's two 10 millimeter bolts that's what you see right here is one here there's all these little plastic whatever so 10 or 12 you lying to me yep you get easy easy you can get them with pliers yep and push it and it kind of gives the bottom of this or top of this a little bit levers to come off but the bottom is behind this and Ford put this nice brace bar whatever you want to call it in here so you can't even access those just gotta we'll send it pull it hopefully you brake a little less than what's on the layers on those clips yeah just squeeze them and push them through and you just kind of work your way so one little trick if you got an extra person to help he's kind of pulling down while I push on these clips because some of them are hard to get to okay I think as I thought this was adhesive Don I didn't realize it was all clipped on you know so all these clips are off down the side or off but you can't get to these back bottom ones here it's got to break him so you just gotta kind of just start Paul is this salvageable after you pull it off yeah imagine this piece isn't cheap from four or five and change those clips that are stopping the grill you said Eric spent the grills are expensive right yeah they're about seven hundred plus well this piece that I'm popping off right here with these clips breaking I've got clips back if they uh yeah I want to film the force that you're putting in this just to give people confident they go to rip theirs off yeah cuz I give a little talk I was like I don't know man safety goggles Wow yeah these are the clips so you're basically pulling those out some of them come out good mandoo the face on that one I should have floated it that was great I'm gonna break his brand-new truck that's all good so yeah posted he's broke here's what it is and then you remember just a little pliers well you just twist them right now if you twist them letting agrees they pull it out that's the piece I'm most excited for the ties it all together look so good imagine it's a bit easier to put in than to take out yeah well the problem is if you don't get it just right yeah break off back off so all in all the process with Rob took about I'd say two hours however doing it myself probably wouldn't closer to three or four just cuz of all the little tricks and stuff but um it looks really good I'm really happy it's something I wanted to do to my red truck forever I love the back tailgate just kind of ties together the whole truck and the emblems and everything especially once I do that black a little trim and maybe tint the windows a little bit it looks sick it's like a whole new truck now what do you
