Diesel Corvettes with BILLET Cummins engines!

The thrill of drag racing was palpable as the Pro Mod team and their competitors took to the track. The air was electric with anticipation, and the crowd held its collective breath as the drivers pushed their vehicles to the limit.

As we watched, the Pro Mod team's split-window Corvette, piloted by an experienced driver, shot off the line like a bullet, leaving the competition in its dust. The car's 24-28 horsepower was more than enough to overcome the challenges of the track, and it seemed almost effortless as it accelerated down the drag strip.

Meanwhile, other competitors were struggling to keep up. Bernie, driving a diesel-powered truck, was having issues with his boosters, which were failing to function properly. The result was a lackluster performance, and Bernie's car failed to leave the line with any real speed.

But the Pro Mod team was on fire, literally. In one particularly impressive display of skill and bravery, the driver of a diesel-powered truck managed to get his car airborne, doing a perfect wheelie as he accelerated down the track. The crowd went wild as the truck's tires appeared to lift off the ground, and the driver expertly banked the vehicle before bringing it back down to earth.

As the day wore on, we watched in awe as the Pro Mod team continued to push their car to new heights. They made several passes that left us speechless, including a particularly impressive run that clocked in at an astonishing 107.60 feet.

But despite the team's impressive performance, there were still some challenges to overcome. The driver of a Corvette had a nasty accident, which required a visit from the safety crew to ensure everyone was okay. We also saw a firetruck make an appearance on the track, as it responded to a reported incident in the pits area.

As we moved into the final round of eliminations, the tension was palpable. The Pro Mod team's split-window Corvette would be facing off against a pickup truck driven by Rudy. The stakes were high, and the crowd held its breath as the two vehicles took to the track.

In the end, it was no contest. The split-window Corvette proved to be too much for the pickup truck, leaving it in the dust as it accelerated down the drag strip. The car's perfect reaction time and impressive launch made all the difference, and we were left stunned by its performance.

As the team celebrated their victory, we couldn't help but feel a sense of awe at the skill and bravery of the driver. It was clear that this was a once-in-a-lifetime experience for everyone involved, and we felt privileged to have been able to witness it.

But as we watched the team bask in the glory of their win, we couldn't help but think about what might have happened if things had gone wrong. Bernie's struggles with his boosters were a reminder that even the best-laid plans can go awry, and that sometimes you just have to roll with it.

As for the Pro Mod team, they were over the moon with excitement. They knew they'd worked hard to get their car ready, and it was clear that all their efforts had paid off. They took a moment to celebrate, but we knew that this was just the beginning of an exciting new chapter in their racing careers.

One thing's for sure: these guys know how to put on a show. From the thrill of high-speed acceleration to the drama of near-misses and close calls, it's been an unforgettable ride. And with so many more exciting events on the horizon, we can't wait to see what's next for this talented team.

The split-window Corvette is a beautiful car, both inside and out. Its sleek design and precise engineering make it a force to be reckoned with on the track. Whether you're a seasoned pro or just starting out, there's something to admire about this impressive machine.

As we say goodbye to the Pro Mod team and their incredible ride, we can't help but feel inspired by their passion and dedication. It's clear that they live and breathe drag racing, and it shows in everything they do. Whether you're a fan of speed, power, or just plain old-fashioned excitement, this team is sure to leave you breathless.

So if you ever find yourself at the drag strip, be sure to keep an eye out for these talented drivers and their incredible ride. You never know when you might get to see something truly special – like a car launch that leaves you speechless or a wheelie that defies explanation. The Pro Mod team is always pushing the limits, and we can't wait to see what they have in store for us next.

In the end, it's all about the thrill of the ride, and these guys know how to deliver. From the roar of the engines to the rush of adrenaline, drag racing is an experience like no other. And with talented teams like this one at the helm, we can't wait to see what the future holds.

As we head off into the sunset, we're still buzzing from the excitement of it all. The Pro Mod team has left us in awe, and we can't help but feel grateful for the experience. Whether you're a seasoned fan or just starting out, there's something for everyone at the drag strip – and this talented team is sure to leave you breathless.

So what's next for the Pro Mod team? Only time will tell, but one thing's for sure: with drivers like these behind the wheel, it's going to be a wild ride. Stay tuned, folks – we can't wait to see what's in store for this talented team and their incredible ride.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enyou got a familiar face out here at ultimate call out challenge you run odss here yes sir Ben here with this beautiful Pro Mod diesel split window body Corvette now tell me about the combo on this thing what do you got going on behind you okay so I see a lot of aluminum yep um the chassis is a 63 uh Corvette it was originally built by Wally's true and then I mentioned you know the waggler aluminum engine Jeremy over there in Odin Indiana not far from us about an hour and a half Billet crankshaft he built the head the cylinder head the long block and then we use a single turbo with a lot of nitrous and what displacement is this engine um it's a it's a factory six seven you got Factory displacement a whole lot on one run of course you know Jeremy makes the cylinder head the the runner style intake the engine block is actually a two-piece it's just intersection jug section yeah we were just getting to the factory box limits and even some of the aftermarket cast stuff was uh not working out for us so we decided to in for weight stuff you know that's that's dumb diesel guys you know everything's yeah so big and heavy so yeah you get a nice Light chassis and body and you throw this heavy diesel in it right right so we did some I know I talked to the guy that had the the car before me quite often and we're about 80 pounds heavier on the nose than if you're not too far off it's not terrible but you know it did take a long oh aluminum engine to do that so you said it's a single turbo how big is that um it's a 102 millimeter okay about how much nitrous just spraying why don't we in in the Eighth Mile Pass we use about seven eight pounds um that's a lot have you had this thing dynoed any idea how much power it makes we have not dynoed it um that is in the talk now so so the answer is no we haven't done it but it is in the near future in your personal best ET right now is what a 427. so we're uh we're hoping to build on that that was yeah that was actually one week ago or it was Sunday so yeah almost one week ago um and we're gonna on this q1 pass in about an hour we're gonna try to make that exact same lap maybe try to tweak to 60 foot a little bit and I if it goes you know a 105 or 106 60 foot it it'll it should go in a high team for 14 something it's like going to be working on that short track here at UCC yes yes sir we are well it's gonna be a treat to see this thing around I don't think I've ever run seen a diesel Pro Mod run in person so I'm really excited for that cool good luck this weekend thank you very much I've been waiting for this moment to see this thing with the front clip on it looks as ridiculous as I thought it would look at the cowl on there and look how long the front end is said it's crazy his was a nitrous car so it's a little shorter okay boom just like that there are two diesel Pro Mod Corvettes light on next to each other all right I haven't seen uh this before now there's two of them look at it look at this I just found out there's two split window Pro Mod diesel Corvettes now this one's uh virgin as it gets we have not made a pass on this car yet been about a year and a half long project really we're gonna go swing nice good luck guys thanks Ed we're very new to the diesel world but I don't think diesel Pro mods are that common of a thing the C2 split window did you hear it start up I thought that was a tow rig hopefully we've seen more and more diesel Pro mods oh my God this one has Zoomies on it foreign Jesus that thing's moving got that hat I love that it has the Zoomies on one side one of the crew guys was telling me four of them are the collectors off the exhaust off the turbo and one of them is the wastegate that's why one of them is in Black all right foreign I've got a very important question for you do you like diesel trucks of course you do you've made it this far in the video we have a brand new 1320 big rig shirt that just came out and we have our 1320 HD shirt that's very appropriate for this event along with a lot of new fresh merch for the summer got over 100 different merch items on our website 1320video.com so we've got two Pro Mod split window Corvettes here at UCC this weekend came over to check this thing out and see what it's all about what's the story with this car how do you end up with this basically uh this is a build we started about a year and a half ago and this is really the first weekend out Shakedown passes definitely happy with what we came up with been racing The Outlaw and diesel super series for ever since the Inception basically and uh in a 4x4 truck so there's a big difference with a two-wheel drive yeah so who built the chassis so it's originally a Wally stoop chassis so uh we got a hold of it and a good friend of mine down there Hammer Tech race cars down in Indy it works with uh Terry McMillan NHRA level chassis front half the car to fit a decent originally it's for big block Chevy and a power glide so now we have triple 400 and uh six seven full Billet waggler competition diesel engine so all the buildings right off the hood right oh yeah yeah the thing's so so beautiful when we're trying to fit the hood and then I was like I gotta just leave this thing open yeah just show it off I love it so same original chassis Builder has the white one yes and it's been modified by the same got the same about the same guy yeah Tony what turbos so right now it's uh we built turbochargers stainless diesel little company we've been uh doing that for about 10 years so it's got one of our stainless steel manifolds on it that's highly modified to fit in a really compact area uh inline six deal and then it's got a GT uh GTX version of a gt55 gear unit um 98 millimeters we modified a little bit it's got a quick exhaust housing uh most of the gear housings aren't divided so this has a 137 divided exhaust out that helps the diesel boy school yeah thanks and uh first the first pass we were happy if it went 60 foot so it actually went a nice 100 foot pass I just kind of lifted 115 60 foot in the first hit oh let's see if you're happy um the next hit took it out a little bit further um looking for data to where to bring the shift points into doing some time based shifting what's your goal for the weekend what are you guys hoping to run we already surpassed it yeah so typically we're just talking about that fast like you never expected afford anything this weekend yeah and we're just hoping to make some clean uh say 3 30 passes brand new build yes it's going straight uh not not doing anything crazy yet so we're just going to kind of continue on this pass uh not since world on fire but we just want to get down track and uh just have fun make sure everything keeps working right just keep improving yep well it's a treat to see one Pro Mod diesel car out here let alone two so I'm excited to see you guys race the rest of the weekend thanks for the info yeah yeah thanks for coming check this stuff out man dang look at that undercar neon here to win the truck car show yeah man we got our uh our underglow man looking good yeah you keep that on during your pass oh yeah good yep we got some Led brake lights hooked up and they were you know running lights in the back what do you think you're gonna run this pass uh we gave it a little bit of extra sauce um if everything goes right it should be 450s so as long as there's no safety defueling in there so uh we'll see foreign overall personal best of your career that's awesome yeah so super happy today didn't expect that so how does this feel compared to the last uh for like 480 fast yeah you had another vehicle uh it's a four-wheel drive doesn't it kind of torch steers a little bit Yeah so this thing's like a Cadillac it's just pushing it down yeah nice and smooth way smoother in a different way they look great I'm disappointed you didn't leave the lights on though so uh it's tied into like a motec which I think turns off with wheel speed it's kind of weird so interesting yeah Junior's checking out the laptop and he's gonna fix that yeah we're gonna by the way I forgot to ask you I noticed there's Zoomies on this thing still which is freaking awesome so it's very unique uh you see a lot of the diesel guys with kind of a five inch pipe a little whip tail at the end of it and I needed something different uh piping wise I just couldn't think of how I wanted it and then one night it just kind of hit me it's like mancinis look awesome on a robot nobody's done it with the turbo deal that I know of yet a diesel wise you know so I was like let's do that so there's flat pipes uh four two and a half inch to connect to the turbocharger on a five inch pipe like Okay so let's just split into four yep and then uh the extra bike is there's two wastegates off the man uh two turbo smart 45 millimeter units and then they go into the one pipe so that's cool well tomorrow's gonna be another fun day oh yeah keep going quicker yep we're gonna look at the data and hopefully shoot for uh maybe some 50s tomorrow 450 stick up on them we'll see what happens in the morning nice work yeah this is a 24 to a 28. badass side by side Pro Mod action right there that was sweet yes foreign thanks good man that car is beautiful well hopefully no major issues with the backfire there uh it could be nitrous backfire there's no fluid on the track there's a big old Fireball about I don't know two three hundred feet out hopefully it will be uh easy fix or huh foreign still taking it easy in the front half don't want to rip the tires off yet pretty sure we can get some 1060s it's awesome I'm sure that launches oh it's unreal it's like it's like somebody stepping on your chest it's like a nice run yeah nice and consistent oh yeah keep chipping away at it heck yeah so the split window four mod team finishing up their qualifying their goal gonna go into eliminations next and I don't think they really came here to be that competitive it's gonna be more of just continual testing session to keep chipping away at the ET get used to the car shake everything down it's been going great so far just keep going quicker and quicker and quicker foreign here we go first round eliminations for Pro Mod we only have one Corvette left here the white one had a very violent explosion pushing a head gasket out in the last round of qualifying let's see how the blue one does in first round he's coming up against Bernie and Bernie's about a second slower so should be an easy win for the Corvette but anything can happen at drag racing foreign Bernie having some issues building boosts on the start unfortunately that looked like fun oh yeah it's Rowdy some fireworks on the in the burnout yep so we put a little bit of nitrous in sooner and uh that's what it does on a diesel if you don't get the egts up hot enough before you kind of lean into it and get the night use out of it let's do a little Bop Bank how was the bounce oh yeah another good one oh yeah everything is made a good hit and put a little bit more in it early and got another like pretty much personal mess 60 foot uh 107.60 front hand you're in the one oh it's nice yeah got out real good about 100 feet and started shaking so and the cool thing is we know why it was shaking it was rolling the tire off a little fast so we know where to slow it down at perfect so this hit looks good uh maybe 4 30 is a semifinals coming up that's right yeah semi-final for Pro Mod we have the blue split window going up against Rudy's pickup and then whoever wins here the firefun truck in this time foreign foreign so one interesting thing about this race the split window blue Corvette this was the first time they've ever raced it was this weekend the firefront crew told us earlier this is the last time it's gonna be raced this is the final pass with this car they're going up against the split window pretty cool that was not the said uh that Miller not the pass we wanted to see something going wrong fire Punk truck unfortunately the split window had a perfect reaction time on that one it'd be if it's the transits especially fitting right I don't know something went boom so no it is what it is yeah whoa you uh you you won the Pro Mod class first time out you know it how the hell yeah I still can't believe it and did I hear a perfect light in the finals yeah so in the final it was a perfect light 0.00 wow well that's a good uh good sign for the rest of the crew with this car oh you know it you know it and it sucks to not have a great race in the final I think it's a great handoff yeah it's interesting yeah learned about a lot about the car I'm sure oh yeah very educational weekend congratulations thanks bud appreciate it hanging out with you guys I hope we'll see you again soon all right all right cheers wow what a beautiful car to end up a fiery Winner's Circle I have never seen that before that's gonna do it for this video thank you guys for tuning in make sure to subscribe for more 13 20 videos you never know we're going to film next could be semi trucks could be Pro mods with diesels in it I'll catch you
