Fast Value SSD Am I dreaming Ortial Core OC-150 2.5' SATAIII Solid State Drive Review
**A Closer Look at Auto SSD**
When it comes to solid-state drives (SSDs), it's always exciting to find a product that promises high performance and reliability. In this article, we'll take a closer look at an SSD from a UK-based company called Auto.
The first thing that caught our attention was the packaging itself. The product is simply labeled as "sticker" with a call-to-action on the front and their website address on the back. While it may seem minimal, this tells us that the company values simplicity and transparency. Additionally, the product comes with a warranty void sticker, which is a good sign of confidence in the product.
The SSD itself is a standard 2.5-inch drive with a thickness of 7mm. We were able to remove the casing to take a closer look at the internal components. Despite its small size, the board appears to be well-designed and efficient. This is where the company's expertise shines through in their products.
**Benchmarking Performance**
To test the performance of this SSD, we used a combination of benchmarking tools, including ATO and CrystalDiskMark. The results were impressive: we were able to achieve speeds of up to 533 megabytes per second on read and 479 megabytes per second on write. This puts it well within the margin of error specified by the manufacturer.
To further test the SSD's performance, we copied a folder from our C drive onto the Auto SSD. The results showed that the drive was able to copy files at an average speed of around 450-480 megabytes per second. While this may seem slow at first, it's worth noting that this is a real-time test and the drive's performance does improve over time.
**Conclusion**
Based on our experience with this SSD from Auto, we can confidently say that it's a great product to consider. The company's commitment to quality and reliability shines through in their products, from the packaging to the internal components. With a five-year warranty and lifetime global warranty on memory products, the company has shown confidence in their products.
The prices of this SSD seem very competitive compared to other products on the market, making it an attractive option for both consumers and resellers alike. By buying directly from the manufacturer, customers can save even more money by cutting out middlemen.
In conclusion, we award our "Hell Yeah" seal of approval to this Auto SSD. With its impressive performance, reliable warranty, and competitive pricing, it's a great choice for anyone looking for a high-quality solid-state drive.
"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhi everyone today we're going to be looking at these drives from auto we've got a 256 and a 512 gigabyte version they're both sata based they sell online for roughly around about 24 and 40 pounds we do have links in the description where you can buy them online or if you're a business or a reseller you can check out their website for more information let's have a look at the box as you can see the box is mainly blue it's got the solid state drive in the center at the bottom right you've got stickers which basically say what size it is for example 256 gigabyte and 512 gigabyte otherwise the boxes are identical at the bottom left it says it's suitable for laptops and desktops um because it's a sata based drive it should just push into basically any or most laptops and pcs without an issue it's got a five year warranty on there which shows that the manufacturer's got confidence in the product because obviously well let's put it this way even if it's a decent brand it's only got a one year warranty on it there's a reason why it's only got a one year warranty it shows that the manufacturer doesn't have confidence in the product because they don't want to deal with the returns and so forth after the first year and so if it gives them a five year warranty they've got confidence that there shouldn't be any issues with the product for five years and if there is obviously they'll sort it out for you so let's have a look at the side on the side it says it's a core oc 150 which is the model number which is also the same on the other side on the top it says it's designed for performance on the bottom it's just got the serial number on there as well as their web address but otherwise on the back it tells you it's a two and a half inch drive it's seven millimeters thick it's saturn-based it's high speed no noise and then you've got all your different languages and everything else on the back as well and the other box is identical otherwise the only difference as i said is the size on the front and you'll find the serial numbers probably slightly different on the bottom would have been a different size okay so we've got the ssd out of the box that's all that's inside the box no manual no instructions anything like that but then again that's all you need uh saves on all the oomph and the rubbish to be honest with you which generally everyone knows already so it says on the front this is a sticker it says call and it's got their web address on there on the back you do have the serial number on there as you can see with all the different information that you may or may not ever need uh and it's also got a warranty void sticker as well um both wise that is pretty much it there's not much to see it's a standard two and a half inch it's seven millimeters thick so there's nothing much to see i have taken the insides out of the 512 gig version so you can see what it looks like it's quite a small board but generally the old are these days um but there you go so it gives you a rough idea what you're actually getting okay as you can see we're doing the benchmark here using ato we're able to get up to about 533 megabytes per second on the read and then on the right speeds we were able to get up to 479 using crystal disk mark we're able to get 557 on the read and 505 on the right which was within one percent of the specifications we were given so it's within margin of error at one percent so that's pretty good going okay what we're doing now is copying from our c drive or at least a folder onto our auto drive and as you can see there is folder called cpu benchmarks we're just going to copy and paste it and show you exactly what sort of speeds it transfers to so this is going to be classed as what your class has a write speed because it's writing the information onto the ssd while at the beginning you will find it a bit slow because there's lots of small files as it speeds up you'll see it's fluctuating roughly around about that 450 430 megabytes per second on average so again not a bad result considering that's a real-time test what we're doing now is renaming that file to a different name copying it back to the c drive and then basically pasting it on there just to see how fast it takes to copy onto there and that will be classed as read because it's reading the information off of the ssd and we're going to see what sort of speeds we get and again very similar you will find it slower at the beginning but it speeds up and it's getting around about real time around about 470 to 480 megabytes per second so again a pretty good result so in conclusion should i buy this product or any other product from auto well the answer is yes yes yes and yes or at least what we've seen up to now some of the main reasons you should buy is it's a uk-based company which obviously is well spot on so there's nothing better than buying it direct from a uk company and because of that if you're a reseller or anyone who has a computer shop or anything along that line and you want to buy these products in you can buy them directly from them without going through a middleman so you cut out the distributor or whatever straightaway you're buying it basically directly from the manufacturer there is a five-year warranty on this product well not just this product but the whole ssd range which shows that the company's got confidence in the product nothing worse than buying a product and it's got one year warranty dies after a week after that and the manufacturer doesn't want to know anything about it well in this case it's got a five year warranty which is generally a bit longer than an average computer lasts anyway so and more likely the warranty is going to last as long as your computer is also if you buy ram from them they do offer a lifetime that's a full lifetime global warranty on all memory products which again is pretty good we haven't tested the memory yet but again it still shows that they've got confidence in their products it seems quite cost effective quick look online it seems very competitive against everyone else and again if you're a reseller or you've got a retail store and you want to buy these you can buy them direct and you'll save even more money because you're cutting out that middleman it also comes with free technical support guaranteed compatibilities uk stocks and fast delivery and worldwide resellers and distributors when testing the product we found out the scores were pretty much what it says on the box it was a margin of error of one percent the actual results so there's nothing wrong with that and considering a lot of ssds we have tested in the past can be anywhere between 10 and 15 slower than what they actually say on the box this is actually pretty good i can't really think anything negative to say about this product so this is the first product this year we're going to award our hell yeah award too youhi everyone
