Hermes Apple Watch Series 4 Review - Apple's Remaining Luxury Wearable

# Review: Apple Watch Series 4 Hermes Edition – A Luxury Timepiece Redefined

## Introduction

Welcome to another insightful review from Apple Insider. Today, we’re diving into the luxurious world of the **Apple Watch Series 4 Hermes Edition**. Priced between $1249 and $1400, this high-end smartwatch is a perfect blend of style, performance, and exclusivity. Join us as we take a closer look at two popular variants: the 40mm and 44mm models.

---

## What’s Inside the Box?

When you unwrap the Apple Watch Series 4 Hermes Edition, you’ll find familiar items alongside some exclusive treats. The package includes:

- A standard **5W wall charger** for charging your watch.

- A sleek **stainless steel Apple Watch charging puck**, which is a step up from previous models.

- Two bands: the one you chose during purchase and a bonus **sports band**.

The sports band, available in an **exclusive Hermes orange** with a subtle Hermes logo on the underside, is a practical addition. It’s perfect for swapping out when you want a more casual look while keeping your expensive Hermes band safe for formal wear.

---

## The Bands: A Statement of Luxury

The standout feature of the Hermes Edition is its bands, which are still crafted to the same high standards as before. Whether you opt for the **Bordeaux Andros single tour** or the **indigo off-white and orange Swift leather single tour**, these bands exude elegance.

- The **leather is soft, supple, and pliable**, ensuring a comfortable fit on your wrist.

- Stainless steel accents on the lugs and buckles add a touch of sophistication.

It’s worth noting that you can purchase Hermes bands separately if all you want is the band itself—no need to buy the entire watch.

---

## The Exclusive Watch Face: A Touch of Elegance

One of the highlights of the Hermes Edition is its **exclusive analog watch face**, which comes in several color options like indigo, off-white, and rose. While there’s room for improvement, you can customize this face to match your band perfectly.

- You can tweak the typeface and colors to suit your preferences.

- However, we wish Apple had included more variety, especially digital versions of these faces. Compared to Apple’s own faces or even the Nike collection, the Hermes options feel a bit limited.

With only one complication slot available, this face is more of a fashion statement than a functional tool for those who prefer detailed information displays.

---

## The Hardware: A Luxury Experience

Beyond the bands and watch face, the Apple Watch Series 4 Hermes Edition packs all the features you’d expect from the best smartwatch on the market:

- **Upgraded heart rate technology** for accurate health monitoring.

- A **larger display** with vibrant colors.

- **Loud rear speakers** for crystal-clear audio.

- The latest **watchOS 5** for seamless performance.

- A new **digital crown with haptic feedback**, enhancing the tactile experience.

- A **flush side button** and relocated microphones**, making the design clean and intuitive.

The watch’s performance is top-notch, and its sleek design makes it a perfect fit for any high-end setting.

---

## The Luxury Factor: Where It Falls Short

While the Hermes Edition is undeniably luxurious, Apple has scaled back some of the premium features found in previous models. For instance:

- Gone are the **ceramic** and **high-end materials** that once defined the top-tier Apple Watches.

- You no longer get an **exclusive box** for storing your watch or a **charging dock** as part of the package.

These omissions make the experience feel slightly less special than it used to be. However, if you’re after the iconic Hermes logo and a stylish timepiece, this watch still delivers.

## Final Thoughts

The Apple Watch Series 4 Hermes Edition is a **practical luxury item** for those who value exclusivity and style. While it may not offer as many premium features as its predecessors, it’s hard to argue with the allure of the Hermes name and the high-quality craftsmanship.

If you’re looking for a complete experience where the watch face and band work seamlessly together, this is the one to get. But if functionality over fashion is your priority, there are other Apple Watches that might better suit your needs.

$1400 and we have two of them with us today we're gonna take a look at both the 40 millimeter and the 44 millimeter new Hermes Apple watch series for starting off with what's in the box what do you get it with Apple's most luxurious Apple watch well a lot looks pretty familiar you're the same a 5 watt wall charger you'd to get the slightly nicer stainless steel Apple watch charging puck but you do get two bands you get the one that you chose then you get a bonus sports band I wouldn't really want to wear that 700 some dollar Hermes band to the gym which is nice that they give you the sports band to go with it you can swap between it is an exclusive Hermes Orange it has an Hermes logo there on the bottom of the underside but other than that is a normal Apple sports band the other band is whichever one you chose to bundle with your watch there are several different options out there between the simple and the more complex we picked out two pretty popular options for the smaller one we have the Bordeaux Andros single tour and for the larger one we have the indigo off white and orange Swift leather single tour they're still Hermes bands so there are very good quality the leather is soft supple pliable it feels extremely comfortable on your wrist if those stainless steel accents whether it's the lug is worth the buckle itself it is of note that you can pick up a lot of the Hermes bands by themselves so you don't have to get the Hermes version on the Apple watch if all you want is the watch bands to go with those bands and to help elevate the experience is an exclusive watch face it only comes in analog rather than a digital version but there's quite a bit you can do to customize it to your liking you can get in there and change the typeface you can change the colors that we do wish there was just a few more options especially one that comes to the colors there isn't soon be enough Apple's own faces have a ton of options and even the Nike seems to have more but on the Hermes one you're a little bit limited yes there are ones to match the bands that you buy we have like an indigo and off-white color there's a rose one that fits the other band well but that's about it we feel like there should be just a few more options in here I felt a little limited when we're paying this much for an Apple watch I did want just a few more configurability options available especially when you only have one complication it makes using the Hermes one more of just a simple fashion statement rather than anything out of functionality you only have one complication to use and the rest is all filled up so if you want anything with a lot of information you're stuck going to one of the other faces anyway everything else that makes up the Hermes Apple watch series for is stuff that you've seen before it's all this standard Apple watch series for things that are included it didn't every other version of the Apple watch the new upgraded heart rate technology that wonderful larger display the loud rear speakers it's running a watch OS 5 we have a new digital crown with haptic feedback the flush side button relocated microphones to the other side and everything else that makes the Apple watch series for the best apple watch ever unfortunately Apple has part back a lot of their premium offerings for anyone who is looking for that luxury experience gone are the ceramic and the addition Apple watches and now the highest-end are these Hermes models they still look as great as ever performances top-notch they will fit into the fanciest of atmospheres but they don't include as many of the premium offerings that Apple used to include they don't have all those nice touches that you got when you got the highest end Apple watch the highest ones used to come with exclusive boxes for storing and you'd have an Apple watch charging dock included now that's happening anymore the box is very similar to all the other Apple watches the charging pucks are the same the wall adapter is the same really just getting the band and the Hermes faces for a lot of people that's going to be enough that's why they're getting the Hermes Apple watch they wanted for that luxury experience that better look the pride of wearing that Hermes logo but the experience does feel slightly cheapen than it has in the past we can't necessarily recommend that you go out there and buy the Hermes Apple watch series for there are other options that have other faces and you can find the band separately but if you want the complete experience you want the face to match that's interactive and kind of moves with the time then this is the one you've got to get though it's gonna cost you you do in a pick one up you can find the links for them below in the description and I wanna hear your
