Mortal Kombat XL Review: A Must-Have for Fans

If you're a big Mortal Kombat fan like myself, you'll love this game. Mortal Kombat XL is essentially an expanded version of Mortal Kombat X, with all the DLC characters and good stuff combined into one discounted price. I got this for about $48 on Amazon Prime, which was easily worth it.

The game is a lot of fun, with over-the-top arcade goodness and plenty of humor. I've spent hours playing through the story mode, and I still have a lot more to explore. The developers did an excellent job in creating a game that's both entertaining and engaging. If you're looking for a new game to add to your collection, Mortal Kombat XL is definitely worth checking out.

For those who may be wondering, the "XL" in Mortal Kombat XL refers to the fact that it includes all the DLC characters and content from the original Mortal Kombat X. I know the developers officially refer to it as Mortal Kombat X, but I like to think of it as a more comprehensive version of the game.

Another great game that I've recently gotten into is Sunset Overdrive. If you have an Xbox One and don't own this game yet, I highly recommend picking it up. You can get it for really cheap, and it's just a shame I took so long to play through it. Of course, I still have a lot more to explore in the world of Sunset Overdrive.

As for my gaming habits, I've been trying to balance out my time between various games. I recently finished playing through Sunset Overdrive, and I'm now working my way through Rainbow Six Siege. These are probably the games I enjoy most right now, but I still have a lot more to play.

Instagram uh he was nice enough to get me this you guys may have seen it in the weekend vlog and then I bought these for myself Celeste Animal Crossing and Rosetti looking as happy as ever so to get started let's open up the 30th Anniversary Mario amibo which is very similar to the other 30th Anniversary Mario amiibo that I have but it is not identical and that is why I've chosen to open the case anyway because they're different enough where I can put one Mario on one side and the other Mario on the oppos opposite side so let's take Mario out allow him to breathe the oxygen on this wonderful planet that we call Earth and he will no longer be trapped in this plastic enclosure of Doom I'm trying Mario I'm trying here I'm trying I don't know what the deal is there you go Apple watch I'm trying to uh record a video here that was kind of loud I'm sorry wow yep just as awesome actually this might be a little more awesome than my current 30th Anniversary Mario amiibo he just looks more traditional look at that and just like my other one it's got some nice weight to it and actually this is probably one of the heaviest amiibo that I own next to Bowser and Donkey Kong's kind of heavy but Bowser is up there so pretty much similar weight if that means anything to you I don't know I find it to be interesting anyway Michael again dude thank you so much for this and don't forget to such an amazing job in its overall design and please for the love of God ignore those cables I know I know it's a mess I know trust me but I'm not really worrying about it too much since I'm still in the process well I haven't even started yet but I'm in the process of thinking about switching these two rooms my uh living room and office more on that in a future video that's still not happening for a little while although I will say my 65 in TV stand is arriving today I'm sure the UPS guys is going to love carrying that in it's almost 80 lbs so anyway back on track let's talk about gaming to me I stream a few times every week I mean I used to stream only once a week now I stream on average three or four times a week so it's been a lot of fun and of course shout out to everyone who has been watching thus far I hope to get more viewers over over time okay so in the meantime I've been streaming these three games Rainbow Six Siege boom Mortal Kombat XL which I just got in on Sunday and Sunset Overdrive awesome game so I'm going to talk about these games for a few minutes each Rainbow Six Siege now I was a big big fan of the previous Rainbow Six games I think Black Arrow on the original Xbox so much fun I was actually part of a clan or a squad whatever they called it back then in and we had such a great time it was a very competitive game that basically encouraged you to take your time and Camp I mean especially in a game like Rainbow 6 there is nothing wrong whatsoever with camping I mean you kind of have to to survive this is not Halo This Is Not Call of Duty this is not Battlefield this is heavily emphasized and focused on strategy and taking your time talking to your teammates and planning your every move and Rainbow Six Siege man this game is no different than previous Rainbow Six games except that I think it's even better you can breach walls you can flank enemies you can set up drones you can look at your cameras as if it's Splinter Cell and honestly I think of it as a mix between Splinter Cell and Red Faction and that right there guys is a very very good thing because I'm a huge fan of spies vers Merks and Splinter saw Pandora tomorrow and Chaos Theory it was fun in Blacklist but in my opinion it wasn't nearly as enjoyable as Pandora tomorrow Chaos Theory but still it gave me that Spies versus mercs gameplay that I've been looking for for years but then it got boring so then I found out about Rainbow Six Siege oh my God it is honestly filling that Gap in my gamer life because I'm having so much fun with it it's a game that's very hard to put down just buy it you know just just buy it for yourself I'm not going to talk about anymore although I will link it right below on Amazon you will likely not be disappointed this game is just so enjoyable oh by the way it does include Rainbow Six Vegas and Rainbow Six Vegas 2 I think I played Rainbow Six Vegas I could have sworn I mentioned it in a very old video of mine from like 2006 or 2007 so I actually might check that out okay so next up is Mortal Combat XL I just started playing this the other night and I got to say it's a lot of fun there's nothing about it that I really dislike I mean I've never been a picky Mortal Kombat player I've played pretty much every game in the series and I've Loved everyone even Mortal Kombat gold on the Dreamcast a lot of people hated Mortal Kombat gold I absolutely loved it I loved all the characters the cut scenes and everything I just thought it was a lot of fun and Incredibly enjoyable incredibly enjoyable that sounds weird but I guess it makes sense so fast forwarding to today Mortal Kombat XL I got to say they've introduced a lot of characters that I have no idea who they are I mean granted it's been a while since I played the previous Mortal Kombat on Xbox 360 I mean I will say there's nothing wrong with being introduced to new characters it's just at times it's a little overwhelming I'm like who the hell are you wait a minute who the hell are you but overall it's fun I have not played as Jason or Leatherface or any of that yet or or even Predator I've been primarily focusing on the story so that's why I haven't really gotten the chance to do any fatalities yet uh but I will do that eventually once I'm pass the story mode I've primarily been streaming that on Twitch then once I'm done the story I'll mess around with the verses and all the extras and all that stuff but so far I'm loving it the X-ray moves are just as good as they were in the previous Mortal Kombat but of course they look even better on these next Generation consoles I'm quoting cuz they're not really Next Generation they've been out for a couple years now but still guys if you are a big Mortal Kombat fan like myself just get this you will not be disappointed oh and by the way if in case you're wondering the XL is basically Mortal Kombat X not 10 I know they officially say Mortal Kombat X in the game so there you go confirmed that bothers me but hey it is what it is anyway Mortal Kombat XL is basically Mortal Kombat X plus all the DLC characters and all that good stuff um all combined into one discounted price I got this Xbox One and you do not own Sunset Overdrive yet just buy it you can get it for really really cheap it's just a shame I took so long to actually play this and of course I still have a lot more to play
