**Easy Pumpkin Decorating Ideas for Halloween: A Fun Family Craft**

Hello everyone! Today, we’re diving into some fun and creative pumpkin decorating ideas that don’t require any carving or messy pumpkin guts. That’s right—no sharp knives needed here! Did you know that an average screwdriver creates a hole the same size as a Mr. Potato Head appendage? It’s true, and kids absolutely love this crafty idea because it feels like cheating on Halloween with the ladies while getting a bit more artsy.

For the first project, we’re using felt cutouts to create adorable faces for our pumpkins. Let me show you how easy it is. Cut out different colored felt into face parts—eyes, noses, mouths, and so on. Adding a dash of Velcro makes this even better because my daughter loves pouring out glue (and let’s be honest, who doesn’t love a little mess). By using Velcro with a sticky back, you can switch out the shapes for added excitement. Even though *this guy* might not look too excited right now, hey, he’s cute—okay, this one’s my favorite!

Moving on to the next idea: stencils. You can use regular tape, but I recently discovered duct tape sheets—and let me tell you, they’re life-changing! Use them to create a stencil on your pumpkin and squeeze out some non-toxic washable finger paint for the kids. Let them get messy and imperfect without feeling the need to step in and “fix” everything. Look at this blue mess—I know it might not look perfect, but who cares? We’re covering it with glitter anyway!

Speaking of glitter, let’s load it on. No one ever said too much glitter is a bad thing, right? And if you’re worried about the mess sticking around for months, just spray a couple of coats of clear gloss sealer. That way, your husband won’t be surprised by sparkly pumpkins three months from now. BAM! You’re guaranteed to have the most festive pumpkin on the block.

Now, let’s talk costumes because, as much as I love crafting, sewing and making costumes is not really my thing. Luckily, Presley’s grandmother came through with this adorable little “B” Peep costume. It even has little bloomers underneath—so cute! She found it at Marshall’s for just $20. Meanwhile, our little guy had to go online and order a matching lamb costume because his sister is dressed as a pink princess, of course. Look at how much he loves his big sis!
