World Cup was Awesome

We're Here at the World Cup

We're currently at the World Cup and it's finally Sunday, which means today is the day we'll be doing eliminations. I'm here with Brent and Roman, as well as Roman's wife Christina, who I didn't really introduce earlier. Don't worry if you missed it - Roman is the guy who had an intercooler blow off, and he looks great in his Speed Factory gear. We've been having a fantastic time so far, and I just picked up some socks from Speed Factory that were my favorite purchase yet. The crowd is huge today, and it's still pretty early, but hundreds of people have already arrived, which means things are going to get crazy quickly. It's also raining outside because it rained yesterday, but hopefully the weather will clear up soon.

It's a little wet out right now, so we're all bundled up and ready for some racing action. We've had a great time talking to Brent, who's been chatting with the owner of Speed Factory, and I got to see his car in person - it's an incredible 200-mile-an-hour Civic! The owner told me that he's been increasing boosts per shift, trying out different ideas, and just really wanting to understand what the cars need. It's like they're all sharing their knowledge and expertise with each other, which is pretty cool. I'm also excited because we finally got the springs and retainers for our minivan - Roman has the super-tech titanium retainers, and we've also got the dual valve springs.

As well as that, we need to order a timing belt and a timing belt tensioner, so I might go with an aftermarket one. I've heard great things about Gates timing belts because they're stronger and don't flex as much as stock ones. I'm also planning on getting a BK tuned manual tensioner - this is what I'm running on my hatch when it hit 600 horsepower, and the factory automatic tensioner went out pretty quickly after that. It's always exciting to get new parts for the car and figure out how they'll all fit together.

I Have to Admit, That Was One of the Best Weekends Ever

I just got back from class a couple hours ago, and I'm still trying to process everything that happened over the past few days. The World Cup was an incredible experience - meeting so many fans, getting to know people like Kyle from 13 20, who helped me out with some things. It was truly awesome to see how passionate everyone is about this sport, and it's amazing to think about all the different cars that are here.

I spent a lot of my battery life filming races down the drag strip, which took up most of my memory and power for the camera. To be honest, I didn't really want to spend too much time filming everything behind the scenes because I just wanted to have a good time without worrying about getting it all on camera. It was really hard to tear myself away from the action, though - there were so many amazing cars out there, and everyone was having such a great time.

One of the best parts was probably meeting all the fans who came up to say hi. I didn't realize just how many people were here until it started getting pretty crowded, but it was awesome to see everyone's enthusiasm and passion for this sport. We even got mobbed by fans every couple of minutes - it was a little overwhelming at times, but in a good way.

Now That It's Over, Let's Get Back to Reality

I've had pretty much zero sleep until last night, which is why I didn't get the video up yesterday or maybe even the day before. But now that it's all over and I'm back from class, I can finally take some time to put this together.

One thing I need to do right away is order some more parts for my minivan - Roman forgot a couple of things during the build process, so we'll be ordering some new springs, retainers, timing belt, and tensioner. It's always exciting to get new stuff for the car and try to figure out how it all fits together.

I've also been thinking about the upcoming video and what I can include. We're going to have a lot of footage from behind the scenes, which I'm not too keen on sharing since it takes up so much power and memory. But overall, I'm really proud of what we were able to accomplish at the World Cup, and I think our fans will love this video -

motor class and I forgot what class is running right now but uh it's a lot of fast cars so I try to use this racing I know it's a lot of just drag racing but I don't know I think it's so awesome to watch so I'm gonna get back up there and film some more goals good weekend so now what we're gonna do booth if they turn around we're gonna do some these welds are still for sale 500 a pair I really want them for the mr2 tonight those would look so dirty on the mr2 I feel like they're not made for Mike I don't think they'll pay my car though I know a full pattern there oh they're so sweet what do you think guys should I get some weld wheels for the mr2 let me know yeah distinction that's all I gotta say one and three thousand hours it's great anywhere you go forth I just wanted to see that doesn't matter anyway Robert on the pad walking a lot playing that's the first turbo I've ever read two in a row making the money making the money come on inside I got a dollar on it why it's pointy - we will drive Frehley all right they're starting the wild street class without some badass runs in here I've also been making some money on the side bets where we're draining everybody here raining on the pros the betting is probably the best part take your time hey are you outside take that I'll take inside go two more thank you ready we're gonna stay calm Kyle's got a support yeah what do I need to say how's it going guys I'm really not a talker in this situation I have no words we're on the game for time we're time give hi vfi spade the boosted voice Chicago drag racing this is for Kyle I was actually really good Oh that game and I know right and stuff Brent's talking to the owner of the Speed factory car right now seems like he knows everybody around here but he let me see the time slip of his last pass once the sink focus is this thing went 7.7 for 199 miles an hour and this is on their smaller turbo than what they were running last year and he did lose his qualifying round because he got read really hard you got you ran a faster time but you got beyond the reaction time so the other Lane did take the wind is fairly but either way guys like this is goals a 200 mile an hour Civic that's crazy good work how long have you been talking to him some sweet factory forever forever yeah that's so sweet yeah like actually seeing the car in person oh yeah that thing gets it down yeah James good deep man we talked a lot about like just increasing boosts per shifts and like just different ideas we're all spit ballers you know as well kind of dreamed the same thing to kind of know what the cars need is just like when you bounce them off guys that understand and like know what's going on it's like you create things yeah I was really hoping to the creative dude he's like he knows what's up yeah good stuff I was really hoping he would have won that round because then he probably would have got to line up with the all-wheel drive so they can not have been yeah yeah that would have broke the inertia but he was open to that would have been sick but he did get beat just barely so the Civic is gonna move on without him and I'm back in Colorado guys Brent dropped me off springs and retainers for the minivan so I've got the super tech titanium retainers right there and the dual valve springs in this box and then I also got this tool right here to change them out which I will be doing in the next video get that head all ready to go onto the motor and then I'll also probably get the head resurfaced then we need a head gasket and I also forgot that I do need to order a timing belt and a timing belt tensioner so I could use a stock timing belt on this but I would like to get a gates or you know some aftermarket timing belt because they are stronger you know they don't flex as much things like that and I want to get BK tuned manual tensioner because that's what I'm running on my hatch right when I turned it up to like 600 horsepower I don't know if the power had anything to do with it but the factory automatic tensioner went out pretty fast after I had it you know over 500 horsepower so I just want to start out with getting the manual tensioner right away into one of you guys you know take pictures whatever but it was awesome that's what I love and yeah just the environment was great and the cars were just badass overall I had a great time so hopefully
