Nintendo Switch (Neon) In-Depth Unboxing & First Look
The Joy-Con Modularity: A Game-Changer for Nintendo Switch Owners
I think it's like an Amiibo, you're not supposed to put an S on the end, so I think you just push this button on the back, and it comes right off. Cool, so I'm assuming you just slide this right on all right? The Joy-Con is transformed into a slightly large controller. I got to say, this is definitely more comfortable, but guys, keep in mind, I'm not going to be using it like this that often, I'll be using the Pro Controller, but for those times where you want to do a two-player game, hand us over to your friend, your family member, whatever, and go to town. Cool, and take this off, you press the same button on the back of the Joy-Con.
This whole modular design is quite impressive, and it definitely leaves the door open for a ton of design opportunities. Imagine like a GameCube controller on here or SNES seriously, this thing has a ton of potential. So, I think Nintendo's already doing a much better job with the Switch than they ever did with the Wii U, and I don't hate the Wii U, the Wii U got plenty of playtime, it didn't get enough playtime, but I think it got plenty. Power adapter, boom, and this is the grip, not the battery grip, but the grip, so pretty cool.
Oh, and here's the other side, strap thingy, all right, so let's take the Joy-Con out again, boom, and boom, got to say, it's very easy, seamless, and let's just click these into place, that's satisfying. All right, that doesn't feel bad, actually, I'm very curious to see how this compares to the Pro Controller, I'm sorry, but does anyone else see a dog? I've been browsing Reddit way too much; that's subreddit for the Switch and every since I saw that picture of a dog or maybe it was a Facebook group, I see a dog every single time I look at the grip. Pretty cool, I don't know if I'll ever get the battery grip, I'm not sure if it's necessary cuz I have the Pro Controller, but hey, like I said before, having the option is good.
Let's put that aside, as always, you get a lot of documentation, and this is the dock, this is what allows you to switch your play modes, and it actually upscales your gameplay to 1080p because the screen is 720p, which I don't think is bad. Here you go, this is the dock, boom, wow, I'm finally holding the dock, very nice, and on the side, we have two USB ports, so let's put this in there right now, actually, I think I should put the Joy-Con on there first.
I got to say, that is a nice click, and apparently, this actually makes the Switch sound like that audio bit that is famous now, um, when you're playing in handheld mode, I think all right, so just kind of see it, it's facing the right way, right? Yep. So, just kind of, oh, and this is interesting if you open the door on the back, you get access to the HDMI out as well as USB 3.0, so the sides are USB 2, and the inside one is USB 3.
And, I had some trouble with the dock for some reason, it wouldn't go in maybe it's because I'm trying to do it on my lap, I might have to put this on a flat surface that way it slides in perfectly. I don't want to damage anything, just got this anyway, guys, let me boot up the Switch real quick, there you go, and I will complete the setup process in the weekend Vlog.
This is just the beginning, I obviously have a lot to say, oh, did you hear that? Very nice, and it vibrated all right, there you go. Guys, thank you so much for watching, and if you want your own Switch, I'll link it right below on Amazon. I don't know if it's available right now, I highly doubt it but still, wow, I got to say, for a 720p screen, it's very sharp, I don't know how well you can see that, but I am definitely impressed all right there you go.
Guys, I have plenty more to say, so check out the weekend Vlog, and actually when that weekend Vlog goes live on Monday, I'll link it right below in the video description. So, if you guys won't normally follow my Vlogs, that's what I do every weekend; I Vlog, I talk a lot, I drink a lot of coffee, I play a lot of video games, I'm very family-oriented, so if you don't know me, this is your chance to meet me.
