My Reading Year Was All Over the Place

This past year has been quite the ride for me when it comes to books. I'm happy to report that I was able to read an impressive 86 books, but I have to admit that my reading experience was a bit all over the place. I kept track of everything I read, and by "everything," I mean every single book, no matter how big or small. Some of these books are classics, while others might be lesser-known gems. The list is as follows:

Book Misses

I created this series where I break down my favorite books from the year, including audio books, best-of lists and even some special mentions. For BookMiss Day 10 , we're focusing on my top 10 list of the year. So if you want to know what the highlights were for me in terms of reading that year then this video is for you.

Top 10 List

My favorite books from last year are a mix of everything I mentioned above, and while some of them fall into the three-star category they're still special to me and have had an impact on my life. Here's my top 10 list:

My Top Audio Books

I also read a lot of amazing audio books this past year. Some of these have become favorites for me, so be sure to check them out.

Book Recommendations

I've included all the book recommendations I came across during my reading journey this year in the comments section below this article if you want to find your next favorite book then I hope this helps!

Book Misses 2018 Day 10

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhey Rona Tilly and today is book miss date 20 so I'm going to be talking about all of the books that I read in 2018 so in 2018 I read a total of 84 books which is the lowest number that I've read in a long time like my past reading years have been either a hundred books or more I know that last year I think I read like 124 books but this year I took it a lot easier with my reading I ended up setting my goal of reading twelve books on Goodreads and obviously I knew I was going to surpass that but I'm really happy with the fact that I read eighty-four books because I thought I would get to fifty and I would be proud of that but 84 is awesome so according to Goodreads I read thirty one thousand and twenty five pages across all eighty-four books the shortest book that I read was the Nutcracker by ETA Hoffmann which rang in at one hundred and twelve pages and the longest book that I read was obsidium I Amy kaufman and jay kristoff which rang in at six hundred and fifteen pages and that's pretty short for my longest book because in the past years it's been like near 1,000 pages but the average length of the books that I read was 369 pages which makes sense because that's where a lot of books fall but what I found really interesting was my average rating was 3.5 stars and that doesn't really surprise me because a lot of the books that I read this year fell in the middle of the road I didn't really read that many books that amazed me there obviously were some but I feel like there were less than previous years but I have all of the books that I read this year that are still on my shelves stacked right next to me and I tried my best to put them in order of when I read them but I definitely didn't do a great job so let's just get into it also if you did want to know my rating for any of these books I will link my Goodreads page down below as per usual and you can go and check out my rating and review there or you can watch any of my wrap ups where I'll talk a little bit more about all of these books so I will have those linked down below maybe all of them maybe I'll make a playlist I don't really know but let's actually get into it so he started off the year very strong with my first read which was my Plain Jane by the lady Janey's aka Cynthia hand Brody Ashton and Jody meadows forest foreign by Shannon Hale little woman by Louisa May Alcott thousandth floor by Katherine McGee even the darkest stars by Heather fossa The Wind in the Willows by Kenneth Grahame the cruel prints by Holly black royally lost by Angie for me and then the swallow man by Gabrielle Savita Zenith by Sasha Ellsberg and Lindsay Cummings the girl in the blue coat by Monica has seen a wrinkle in time by Madeleine L'Engle I know I just
