iOS 12.2 Beta Release and Features

Hey guys, in today's video, I've got more to talk about regarding iOS 12.2 beta, and by the way, public beta testers, this was released just now to you guys, so if you want to become a public beta tester, I have a video on how to do that; it's very easy and completely free, and you can get all the new features that iOS 12.2 brings, including for the new devices and emojis, if you haven't watched my initial coverage of beta 1 and beta 2, links will be in the description. But today, I want to give you guys not a follow-up but more to talk about regarding features and bugs that I've been getting a lot of questions about; my follow-up video will be coming shortly in regards to battery performance and everything else, but today, I just wanted to give you guys some more to talk about for the software.

One of the things I do want to address is a few bugs that have come about with iOS 12.2 beta. If you become a public beta tester and are coming from either one of them; you're gonna see approximately 375 megabytes, which is going to be the download for iOS 12 point to beta 2. Now, let's take a look at the lock screen on this version, we have the charge status and the time, we've seen it date back to previous versions here; twelve point one point three we have to date, then the time, if you're charging your device, it will show the charge switch over to the date, then lerner show the time up at the top. But right here on a beta 2 for 12 point - it is stuck on the charging status, but I believe that's a bug, not something that's gonna stay there; we'll have to wait and see for the next baby.

Another nice touch that Apple added to the messages application is this really cool effect, if you add happy Chinese New Year's, you get this really really cool effect, to see there the words turn kind of orangey in red, and you get fireworks coming here from the side; looks really cool instead of just getting the fireworks if we take away the word Chinese, you see the difference effects that we get here, could fireworks in the black background with blue letters. Now this was discovered by a reader of MacRumors, I thought it was a really nice touch for that Chinese New Year's; at Apple added this to the messages application in iOS.

Another thing I wanted to address was the 5G icon appearing on status bars of iPhone tens when updating twyeye was 12.2 beta 2. Now this does not mean that you're getting 5G speeds, this is AT&T testing their network which is still not 5G but it will have 5G coverage in that area, they're doing a few tests so the icon changes momentarily, that means that you will get 5G when it is available on that particular area if you get this icon but not on these iPhones and not now okay, just so you know just a test that AT&T is running on their network not true 5G on your iPhone.

Another bug that Apple fixed with iOS 12.2 beta was super super annoying when you ask Siri play Beats one, so there you go we got the music platter here, if you move the slider we used to get that volume HUD right in the middle of the screen we couldn't even see the controls so that's fixed with the latest beta I'm happy to report that I was so annoying and hopefully they'll remove it from us entirely; it just right in the middle so annoying they can make this a lot cleaner but at least they fixed it within the Siri you are.

I also want to talk about this icon here on the top right of the platter for the music controls, see there when music is playing it starts getting out like a pulse effect to it; gets dynamic and it also changes depending on the media that you're broadcasting so if you're gonna play a video it changes to that; so it's a really cool effect that app will add it to the platters and I really really like it a lot, I hope you guys enjoyed this quick update on some more to talk about for iOS 12.2 again the battery is going to be tested and everything else and I'll have a follow-up video for you guys in regards to that so stay tuned here to the channel; thank you for watching today's video have a great day guys I'll see you real soon pace
