5 Ways To CLEAR iPhone system Data

Reducing System Data on Your iPhone: A Step-by-Step Guide

For years, iOS has been plagued with a weird bug that allows system data to take up a large portion of your iPhone's physical storage. If you're among the users suffering from a large size of system data on your device, don't worry – we've got you covered. In this article, we'll show you exactly how to reduce system data on your iPhone.

Removing Unwanted Apps

------------------------

The first step in reducing system data is to remove any unwanted applications from your device. When you first buy your iPhone, there's a bunch of Apple pre-installed applications that you might not use. If this is the case, it's time to get rid of them. To do so, simply delete the apps from your device. This will instantly remove and reduce system data from your iPhone.

For example, let's say you don't use the "Books" app on your iPhone. You can easily delete it by going to your Home screen, tapping and holding on the app icon until it starts to jiggle, and then tapping the "Delete" button. This will remove the app from your device, freeing up space and reducing system data.

Social Media Apps

------------------

Another thing you might want to consider removing are social media apps that you haven't used in over a year. These apps can take up a significant amount of storage space on your iPhone, contributing to a larger overall system data problem. To access the apps that are taking up the most storage space, follow these steps:

1. Go to Settings.

2. Tap on "General."

3. Tap on "iPhone Storage."

This will show you a list of all the apps installed on your iPhone, along with how much storage space each one is using. Look for any social media apps that are taking up more than 10% of your total storage space and consider deleting them.

Clearing Recent Messages

-------------------------

Another way to free up space on your iPhone is to clear recent messages. To do this, follow these steps:

1. Open the Messages app.

2. Tap on "Edit" in the top right corner of the screen.

3. Tap on "Show Recently Deleted."

This will show you a list of all the conversations that have been deleted or moved to the "Recently Deleted" folder. If you don't need any of these messages, simply tap on the trash can icon next to each conversation and delete them.

By clearing recent messages, you'll be able to free up space on your iPhone and reduce system data.

Configuring Message Storage

---------------------------

If you want to prevent future conversations from being stored on your iPhone, you can change the "Keep Messages" setting. To do this, follow these steps:

1. Open the Messages app.

2. Tap on "Settings."

3. Scroll down to "Messages."

4. Tap on "Show Recipients Name."

By default, the "Forever" option is enabled, which means that every message will be kept forever. However, if you choose to change this setting to "Year" or "30 days," any conversation older than 1 year or 30 days will be automatically deleted from your iPhone.

This is a great way to free up space on your iPhone and reduce system data over time.

Clearing Safari History

----------------------

Finally, let's talk about clearing Safari history. This can also help to free up space on your iPhone and reduce system data.

To clear Safari history, follow these steps:

1. Open the Safari app.

2. Tap on "Settings."

3. Scroll down to "History."

4. Tap on "Clear."

This will remove all of your browsing history from your iPhone, freeing up space and reducing system data.

Powering Down Your iPhone

-------------------------

Once you've completed all of these steps, it's time to power down your iPhone and see the results for yourself. Simply go to Settings > Power Off and then press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until your iPhone shuts down. When it starts up again, take a look at how much space is left on your device.

By following these simple steps, you can reduce system data on your iPhone and free up space for more important things. Remember to regularly clean out your iPhone's storage space to keep your device running smoothly and efficiently.

have Apple apps that you don't use the first thing you want to do to reduce system data is remove these apps from your iPhone so for example if I don't use the books app of course you want to make directly from your device that should be the first thing to do in order to reduce that system data file now another thing you may want to do is remove apps that been installed on your iPhone for over a year now typically this would be social media apps for example so let's head on over into settings here let's head on over into General iPhone storage and take a look at social media so right there Instagram has approximately close to 5 gigs so 4.63 gigs of data we also have x with 2.36 so if you remove temporarily Instagram and reinstall it that will help clear the cash in the history for that application and you can start fresh and this will also reduce that system data file size okay so just keep in mind that if you have an iPhone for more than two years and you have your social media apps installed take a look at that section there in settings under iPhone storage whichever has taken the most storage make sure you remove the app and then reinstall it and this will clear out some want to look into with messages is under settings here you want to jump into messages right here and then you want to scroll down until you find right here the keep messages now by default the forever option is enabled this means that every message will be kept forever now if you change that to a year or 30 days that means that any conversation a year or older will be automatically deleted from your device or if you select 30 days obviously it will delete any conversation that's older than 30 days therefore improving the storage on your iPhone and the system data as well now last but not least I recommend you take a look at Safari on settings here so jump into settings find the Safari extension right there it is and then inside of safari you want to make sure that you scroll down and select clear history and web data now make sure that you select all history right here keep in mind this will close out all your tabs so if you have tabs open just keep that in mind and once you clear that history on your Safari web browser this will also clear out some of that cash and free up some of that storage and some of that system data as well now once you're done doing all these steps I recommend you power off your iPhone and reboot your device and hopefully once you reboot your device you'll be left with less system data on your iPhone with approximately less than 10 gigs if you
