**The Noise Levels and Acoustics of Our New Workspace**

We've got that busy screen next to us which can get a little noisy, but with the front door closed and this door closed and us being way back here in the corner it's really quiet. Let me turn the AC off then you can really get a feel for how quiet this place can get and the fan is off very quiet. Very quiet when it needs to be. What also helps with that is that we have no one neighboring us on this wall or this wall, and obviously no one on this wall other than the street. We only have one neighbor, which is a commercial space, and they're on that side of the wall. So, we actually have a kitchen in between, which definitely helps reduce noise. We plan that out specifically. We built this out ourselves, if you mention that we built all of this to spec. This was just an empty room before we moved in when we signed the lease. I actually spent a lot of time figuring out the best possible layout for where to build walls and what kind of rooms we needed, and stuff like that.

**The Quietness of Our Workspace**

As far as above us, we actually have a number of apartment units directly above us, but we're separated by about two feet of concrete. So, you're never gonna hear anything up there. Let's move on to the kitchenette. Our little itty bitty kitchen isn't it cute? Yeah, so this is where you know we might make food, take our lunches, try to squeeze in like a small table with a couple chairs. Either there or here. Maybe have a refrigerator or microwave, you know all that sort of thing. We've got running water, yeah, these fixtures are either nicer than what we have at home, maybe I'll just rip this out and swap it with our crappy one, you know, I'm just kidding cabinets. Yeah, I'm gonna try to fill these with snacks and refreshments, as opposed to computer hardware. If it wasn't for wifey sauce, I would definitely put computer hardware in here.

**The Storage and Amenities of Our Workspace**

It's a very small kitchen but I like how much storage there is. A lot, a lot of space. All gender restroom, we do have our own bathroom which is awesome. Toilets are important for working and for life. We have sink, no paper towel, no paper towel is sold separately from the unit. These fixtures just, I want all these fixtures, yeah, okay. I don't spend too much time filming in a bathroom but get the idea. We'll try to keep it this clean moving forward but you know how it goes in the bathroom, it happens.

**Why We Like Our New Workspace**

I actually like it a lot more for a couple reasons. There are some huge benefits to this space. The first one being is that it's incredibly close to our house. Time my drive here from home it took me two minutes and 50 seconds to get here, it's ridiculously close, it practically feels like we're still working from home, which is great for me because I'm super forgetful. At our last office space, I would forget like a product or a memory card at home, it would take me at least an hour round trip just to retrieve that item. Whereas here, I can go back and forth within a couple of minutes. I hate commutes, I always have, and I don't really have to deal with that so much here.

**The Private Nature of Our Workspace**

Another thing is that it's completely private at our last office, we didn't share our individual suites but we had some common areas like the kitchen and the bathroom was shared with the entire floor. Even the units that were ours were still part of a group of suites that were shared by other people, some of which we're really awesome and we're still really good friends with today, and others not so much, not the type of people that you'd want to leave your doors unlocked around. But we don't have to deal with any of that now, it's completely our own.

**The Future of Our Workspace**

So, I'm super excited to start shooting in here for the next few videos at least the next handful of videos on the channel. You're gonna see are still shot at our home at the current studio, it's probably gonna be another couple weeks before we actually start filming the from the spot because we have to move in, we're not moving until next week, and then we got to unpack and then build the set, and just it's gonna take a while to get fully functional. So, expect a handful of moving vlogs, they are inevitable.

became really apparent that we were gonna need to find a new spot for all of our work business because boxes were piling up in the living room in the garage we were just running out of space so we did some digging we found a spot signed a lease and I picked up the keys to the place about 30 minutes ago so today I'm gonna give you guys a full tour of the new bit with HQ before we actually go inside I want to quickly show you the outside patio that we have here this is our own little outdoor space we can do whatever we want with it maybe put some patio furniture if we ever want to eat lunch out here I am planning to also install indoor and outdoor cameras so we can survey the place you can see that there's nothing else on that side like our unit is pretty much the last one on this block there's another unit right here it's actually only two units us and one neighbor I think they do like framing they're like a picture of framing business or something so they're very quiet but this is a cool little space we'll have to figure out what to do with it maybe put a slip and slide here you know something practical let's go inside here this is our entry room for the record guys this isn't like a an LMG or even a Jays $0.02 grade warehouse or anything it's it's very small very modest about a thousand square feet it's actually a bit smaller than our previous office but it's quite a bit more expensive because this area is not cheap fortunately there's some huge benefits to this place that I'll talk about later but this is our entry room alright I think that might be sauces desk is probably gonna be either here or here wifey sauce doesn't really need a whole lot of space on her desk she can do most of her job with a single monitor she has a mini ITX PC so everything else in this room is either gonna be stationery or office supplies probably a lot of storage this is probably where we'll have our printer and things like that more or less just an administrative and storage room and wifey sauces computing area in this room this is gonna be sort of our editing Bay a fairly small room but perfectly large enough for a single editor whether that be me or someone we hire soon we're still talking about that you can fit a pretty good-sized desk here and any other extra space we'll probably use for storage you can never have too much storage we have a nice big window here in this room which you know is gonna be nice for an editor if they don't want to be and just like this dark dungeon all day we are going to install some blinds or maybe even some blackout curtains so that whoever is editing can pretty much keep the rim really dark when they're color correcting that sort of thing also sorry for the terrible echo there's really not much I can do about that but this is gonna be the editing bag so this is the rest of it alright so nothing too crazy it's not super big or anything but I think it's gonna get the job done I've sort of mapped it out in my head and I think given all the products that we have currently we should be able to fit everything in here I'll circle back to this part later but let's talk about this space so I'm gonna sort of divide up this room first of all concrete floors absolutely love the concrete floors this is the first time we've ever had a studio or office space with concrete floors which is perfect for shooting it just makes everything much more level tripods love this stuff I'm very happy about that also the ambient lighting in here the house lighting is very nice energy efficient bulbs and it's just a really well lit well at room the whole place as well with so back to this corner here like I said we're gonna try to divide it up with at this line and I'm gonna have some storage basically in this corner I'm gonna try to fit as many product shelves as I can basically I'm gonna line the wall with my idea line the wall with product shelves and then I'm also going to have a couple maybe Island shelves in the middle that you can sort of walk around and walk through just to really maximize the space as much as possible and then over here we'll have more storage because we need more storage like the larger form items like oversized boxes for computer cases monitors so all that's gonna go here I'm still deciding on how it's gonna look if we want shell like large shells for that or if we're just gonna sort of dog pile them we'll figure something out but there's a plenty of space for that there and then on this side of the line pretty much all studio space studio space and additional storage my thought was that because we have the electrical box there which is kind of ugly that we would build out the set on this wall and I guess part of this wall as well I was thinking of like making a u-shape right actually maybe building like a fake wall kind of like how Jay did building a fake wall putting it right on this line that we can have sort of this new shape for our set decorate it however we're gonna decorate it probably lots of RGB will be involved and and yeah that'll be our shooting area we'll have cameras and lights on this side of the room along with maybe some storage if we can fit storage on this wall if it's not too narrow I'm gonna try to hide as much storage into the set as well maybe underneath whatever desks are against these walls that way we can have you know maybe plastic bins for water cooling Hardware other other accessories things that aren't super large that need to go on those product shelves you can see we've got plenty of power outlets here they included an ample number of them have unintended I think this one over here yeah these are ethernet jacks so like I said we're already pre-wired for Internet we just got to head up whatever service providers in their area to install modem and router well we have a round router yeah we'll just have to run some internet cables around here to connect to whatever systems or other devices we have on the set shouldn't be a problem I'm sure a couple network switches will come in handy for that and over here on this wall like I said mostly storage and how about come up at that ceiling yeah they asked if I wanted to drop ceiling I said now screw it just just leave it open because you know some of our lighting equipment can go pretty high so it's nice to have the extra ceiling room quite literally for all that sort of thing and it just looks cool has a very industrial look to it with all the vents and lights and pipes and stuff oh yeah so AC we have AC ready to go this was already here do that look at that oh it's beautiful it works really well it's only been on you know since I started shooting and it's already cooled down in here tremendously not too loud either so let's see fan speed oops it wasn't on cool here we go all right can you hear it so I can definitely hear it you can probably hear it to some degree too but I think once we fill the room with a bunch of stuff it'll drown out the echo for one and also probably absorb some of the fan noise from the AC unit so I think I think we're gonna be okay and really it's super effective it doesn't really need to go
