be doing a full review of this of this in another video and on my website but for now we're just doing the unboxing and the first look with the Proteus core they are looking to get away from the gxxx numbering series of their products the numbers will probably remain for a little bit as that's a good model number for reference but they're wanting to call them names now so this one is a proteus core this is of course a tunable gaming mouse it is the one of a kind in well so far first of its kind I guess of its tunable weight measurements its tunable sensor and the fact that it is 12,000 DPI my current gaming mouse the cyborg rat 5 is 5600 DPI so I'm really interested to see how good a mouse could be if it had 12,000 DPI that's over double what I have at the moment on the back we see we see that it has 11 programmable buttons and up to 5 3.6 G weights that you can use to customize it as as well as surface tunable gaming sensor with exclusive Delta zero sensor technology five on thefly DPI settings from 200 to 12,000 DPI improved dual mode hyper fast scow wheel three onboard profiles durable braided cable always love braided cable and ultra low friction feet we open it up on the front flap exclusive Delta zero technology science wins and a preview of the mouse so let's go ahead and get this bad boy open inside the box we have lots of things lots of things indeed all right that is all from the box for now we get recyclable plastic which I like to see we have two small pieces of paper one being the just general overview guide showing how to take off the flap and take out the weights and then it go to logitech.com support/ g502 to download the software no real words required other than the website it just has an arrow pointing to download our other piece of paper looks to be safety compliance and warranty information stuff nobody reads they should probably but they don't again recyclable plastic just got to take the magnet out love to see this in products and then we have the mouse itself as well as the weights now it's all I have to say I love braided cables I love the braided cables that Logitech uses on their g430 I want to say headset I think that's the one I have Hello weights um they have on their g430 they have this cloth braid head or cloth braed cord that is like a Sho string almost it's amazing and this one is very very similar it's not very like thick and stubborn almost like my rat five braided cable is it's very nice and fluid and you can W it up and treat it like a Sho string and it' work out just fine I I I really wonder if anybody has used a braided cable as a Sho string before I seriously doubt that happened cuz if you're affording a braided cable you can probably afford Sho strings but just out of curiosity if you know of any instances let me know so getting pulled out here also recyclable plastic I believe yes so I'm going to toss that my recycle in so we have a lovely I believe 6 foot or 8ot cable I want to say it's 6 foot yeah so lovely 6 foot cloth braid cable and then we have our Transformer looking Mouse here and it is Wonder f it has a very o that is an amazing feeling scroll wheel you scroll and it just keeps going then you hit this you hit the Dual mode button and the wheel literally just rolls like a skateboard wheel it's got some very nice bearings in there hit the button and you have much tighter scrolling that is awesome and you have a programmable button on top here a lot of programmable buttons on your side where where your thumb would go if you're right-handed as well as two right there none on the left or on the right side so if you are a lefty you're kind of at in the dark with this mouse but hopefully you have a mouse of your own that would work out the two clicking buttons are on completely separate bits of plastic there are two completely separate buttons most mice even if they have a dividing line the the clicks are still on the same like material these are completely separated completely different clickers that is awesome and then we have our weight tuning system on the back here I would do a demonstration of this in B real for you we do have a set of Weights included in this little plastic container here that tunable weights to make it a bit heavier I don't know if I'll use all of them I will use some of them they're each 3.6 G they look really really cool it's in a nice hexagon shape love it as far as as how it feels it actually feels really comfortable it's a bit more of a palm I'm I'm more of a claw guy cuz I have really thin hands um it's a bit more of a palm Mouse but with how many buttons there are I think I might get used to it and it has some really nice grips on the side so I may get used to palming the mouse we shall see and I can hold
