$2000 FULL Gaming Setup 2022! [ft. RTX 3060Ti PC Build, Monitor & Peripherals!]

**Building a Gaming PC and Putting it to the Test**

The world of gaming has seen tremendous growth and advancements over the years, with the latest generation of PCs being designed specifically for smooth and immersive gameplay. In this article, we'll be putting our brand new gaming PC through its paces, testing its capabilities in popular titles like Forza Horizon 5 and Call of Duty: Vanguard.

**Forza Horizon 5: A Racing Game at Its Best**

We started by jumping into the game that all racing enthusiasts love - Forza Horizon 5. With its stunning graphics and realistic gameplay, this title is a must-play for any gamer looking to experience the thrill of driving on various tracks around the world. We've set our Xbox controller as the primary input device, and we're excited to see how it performs in terms of frame rate and overall gaming experience.

The game launched smoothly at 100 frames per second, which is absolutely spot on for what we're looking for. During some of the cutscenes, the frame rate dropped to 30 or 60, but that's normal and not a concern for us. What matters most is the core rendering of the game, and with our PC, we can expect crisp visuals and smooth gameplay at all times. As we took control of our car, we noticed that the frame rate stayed consistently high, even when engaging in off-road driving or splashing through water - a testament to the system's capabilities.

To put it simply, more than 100 frames per second is absolutely spot on for racing titles like Forza Horizon 5. We're not looking for 60 FPS as the target; rather, we want those higher visual settings and higher visual fidelity that make the gaming experience truly immersive. And with our PC, we can expect nothing but the best.

**Call of Duty: Vanguard - DLSS to the Rescue**

Next up, we decided to test Call of Duty: Vanguard, a game known for its fast-paced action and intense multiplayer modes. We set our GPU to 1440p refresh rate and cranked up the frame rate limit to maximum while disabling vsync. To further optimize performance, we enabled NVIDIA DLSS (Deep Learning Super Sampling) in balance mode.

We adjusted the preset from ultra to high, as we believed it would make a significant impact on gameplay performance. Finally, we took a closer look at our settings and made sure everything was configured correctly before hitting apply. With DLSS active, the game looked stunning with 1440p quality, but with the frame rate that you'd often find by gaming at 1080p.

Our first test run showed a solid 154 frames per second, followed by another impressive 165 FPS - a testament to our PC's capabilities. We were thrilled to see such sustained high frame rates throughout the game, and we knew that DLSS was playing a significant role in achieving this performance. The result? A super smooth gaming experience with minimal lag or stuttering.

**A Quick Mic Test: Corsair HS80 vs. Rode NTG4+**

To wrap things up, we took a moment to do a quick mic test of our Corsair headset for comparison sake. We started by testing the Rode NTG4+, which is a popular choice among content creators and streamers. While it performed well, we couldn't help but feel that it was just a bit too laid-back compared to what we're used to.

Next up, we switched to the Corsair HS80, and we were blown away by its sheer quality. The headset's mic captured every nuance of our voice with crystal-clear precision, making us feel like we were speaking directly into the microphone. We couldn't help but wonder if this headset would be more than enough for serious content creation or even Twitch streaming.

**Conclusion**

Overall, we're thrilled to see how our brand new gaming PC performed in these tests. With Forza Horizon 5 and Call of Duty: Vanguard pushing its limits, it's clear that our PC is capable of delivering smooth and immersive gameplay experiences at the highest level. The addition of NVIDIA DLSS and a crisp 1440p resolution only added to the overall quality of the experience.

While we did have a minor stumble with a frame rate drop during one segment of Call of Duty: Vanguard, it was nothing more than a minor hiccup in an otherwise flawless performance. As for our Corsair headset mic test, it's clear that this is a top-notch piece of hardware that will serve us well in the future.

If you're looking to upgrade your gaming PC or simply want to stay up-to-date with the latest and greatest components, we hope this article has given you a good idea of what to expect.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enin this video i'm going to be showing you how to build a gaming setup around a 2 000 budget everything from our pc build to our monitor and peripherals with some of the latest releases from cooler master and nzxt to take a look at along the way let's do this ready set go as with all of our setup content which you should totally subscribe to see more of we're going to kick things off by looking at the pc build now this right here is a system i recently assembled in one of our build videos featuring a 3060 ti and intel core i5 12 400. the i5 12 400 sits at the heart of the build giving us six of intel's latest performance cores 12 threads with hyper threading and clock speeds that go well above that 4 gigahertz mark meaning single threaded titles those older games like valorent cs go are going to work great but more modern titles like battlefield 2042 will also deliver some great results but we'll be checking out more of the gaming performance later on in the video so don't go anywhere 16 gigabytes of ddr4 memory a great way of saving some money over the newer ddr5 standard built onto a b660 motherboard from gigabyte with wi-fi crucially helping your pc to get connected without running those pesky little cables anywhere make it a well-rounded system it's built inside of nzxt's h510 flow a cheaper version of the h510 with holes in it quite literally this case has lots of mesh everywhere to keep temperatures nice and chilly and i've popped some corsair fans in for good measure cooling is provided by a hyper 212 from cooler ester this is their rgb black edition with gpu prices falling something we've discussed in recent videos now is actually not an awful time to try and build a pc and while it's definitely more of a faff than it was a couple of years ago with some shopping around you should be in luck you can find links to all of the components both in this pc build and of course for the rest of our setup in the description below now to go along with our nzxt case i figured we'd pick up some of the latest peripherals also from nzxt that's right they've expanded into microphones microphone arms and now keyboards and mice i wonder when the headset's coming hmm this right here is their function mini tkl it's a tenkeyless keyboard and this is great for first person shooters now james why on earth is a keyboard good for playing a first person shooter doesn't it have a w a s d key yes but because it's actually smaller slightly narrower in its form factor you've got more room for your mouse next to you this allows you to operate at lower dpi sensitivities given that really weird esports look that gives you the more finer granular control back to the keyboard for now though it comes nicely packaged in nzxt's traditional sleek style with a slogan that says build the extraordinary i'm hoping this isn't the keyboard we actually have to build though that would be not the greatest of surprises this one right here is the white colorway as well yes oh okay interesting this is getting fruity liking the look and feel of this so far volume wheel on the left hand side is quite cool i'm guessing these are our windows lock and our brightness and our caps lock indicators on the left hand side we do of course still have the arrow set and condensed controls that normally lie above that squeezing everything as i say into a smaller form factor this is actually a lot smaller than some of the other tkl keyboards we've seen recently it's got gateron red switches which feel instinctively pretty good linear best for gaming in my opinion and they're all rated for 50 million keystrokes with perky rgb backlighting so far so good and it's usbc which is good looking at the bottom that actually looks promising we've got two different levels of adjustment in terms of the height of the keyboard you can have the mini feet the big feet or no feet at all nzxt this is so far so good alongside the function mini we've then also got the nzxt lift which i can't get into what on earth is going on here come on there we go bit of scissors will do the trick now this is by no means the lightest mouse on the planet coming in at 67 grams but it still sits at the lighter end of the spectrum and thankfully for my preference has no holes in it unlike our case which has many a hold with a braided paracord cable and a white colourway which i hope stands the test of time and doesn't end up looking like a fingerprinty dirty mess it looks good along the rest of our setup and of course matches look at the match with the case the keyboard and the mouse boys we're color coordinating today now then so with the peripherals done we'll leave those to one side for the moment there's one rather large item of the setup we're missing it's not the headset we're coming back to that afterwards and it's not the mouse pad either that's the last thing we're going to unbox instead you guessed it it is our monitor for this build which is the cooler master gm 32 fq now james this is a bit weird isn't it an nzxt peripheral set a cooler master monitor i think everyone's gone a bit set up mad manufacturers who previously only focused on core products are now expanding to new lines and while cooler master's early monitor efforts weren't quite to my liking i've got it on good authority that this is pretty impressive i mean after all corsair just released a monitor that cost a small fortune and that one's pretty good so at a lower price point with a 1440p resolution one millisecond response time and 165 hertz refresh rate could this be onto a winner i guess we'll find out here we have our stand based all aluminum in construction bit of a space gray finish to coin an apple term power cable display cable all pretty normal stuff and then of course the panel itself that is really heavy my goodness wow gosh that's not a little bit heavy that's very heavy i'll be back in a minute let me assemble this stand get the monitor on and then i'll rejoin you because my arms are now hurting quite a lot well if one thing's for sure it's certainly not small 32 inches is on the slightly big side for some people i think they will have like a 27-inch version though as well which might make more sense if you want just a slightly smaller field of view as far as eyesight goes what we can then do now is we can get our peripherals nicely set up to our keyboard and our mouse and then we can take a look at the gaming headset for this build and it's a gaming headset that's a bit more conventional we've gone out there with the monitor keyboard and mouse and that's a risk i think will pay off but an area i didn't want to compromise at all was the headset which is where corsair's hs80 rgb wireless comes in now this is a wireless headset with super low latency but you can also use it with a usbc cable in wired mode it's got rgb customizable on the side but primarily it's the 7.1 surround sound and really great virtual engine of course they use on this unit plus with dolby atmos support you'll also hear sounds above you this gives you access to the paid dolby atmos app that you have to buy for windows usually and the headset super comfortable and it's gonna work well to finish things off we're also gonna pop on an extended mouse pad i've picked up one of corsair's rgb line units granted if you want to save some money you can swap this out for something cheaper and i'll pop different options down in the description below and then once that's done we can jump into the games that we're going to test out in this video first though i need to give the pc and the monitor power plug up a displayport cable and then we're ready to go the first game we're going to benchmark is fortnite having a look at some of the settings we're using we're going for competitive settings but it's still 1440p to try and get the best of the resolution and the refresh rate of this monitor 1440p up here everything tuned down to low except the render distance which is set to far you might be wondering why the 3d resolution is 57 and that's because we have of course got dlss enabled we're going to jump into a game of solos then pop the headset on and see what kind of frame rates we're able to get keeping on this fps figure in the top left hand corner that looks like the first kill of the ball potentially come on surely yeah it's beautiful nice that's exactly the stuff we wanted loads and loads of stuff for us to feast our eyes on as the frame rate sits above 200 frames per second at 1440p right don't get too carried away we're full health shield's been very marginally damaged but all still pretty good overall nice start oh no that went from zero to 100 real quick didn't it uh frame rate's really solid though and that gives us enough of a gauge of just how well fortnite performs on this full gaming setup the colors and stuff i might add on this monitor as well look absolutely six a great job cooler master on this lovely ips panel next up let's try something different let's jump into a racing game specifically a little bit of forza horizon 5. taking a look at our game settings we're running out 1440p with v6 of course disabled to make sure we get the maximum frame rate possible i'm going to turn on reaver tuner as well in a moment so we can get that frame rate overlay but we're running pretty much at the high settings preset with vsync turned off so we can jump out of here we're not going to jump into the benchmark mode we're going to go directly into the game itself with an xbox controller because that is the best way hands down to play forza horizon 5. this is actually a new save game for the new pc we've just built but so far sitting around the 100 frames per second mark which is absolutely spot on for what we're actually looking for obviously during some of the cut scenes your frame rate's going to drop to 30 or 60 but it's the actual core rendering of the game that we're bothered about this is a bit more what i'm talking about cheeky corvette frame rate 120 frames per second now as well remember a racing game obviously 60 fps is always the target but 40 45 is fine for racing titles so more than 100 is absolutely spot on and you want to have those higher visual settings higher visual fidelity in titles like this because that matters more in a sense than frame rate once you can saturate that 40 50 60 frames per second this is fantastic yeah boy bit of off-road a bit of water no even there though with the water droplets the frame rate still sitting at that 108 fps mark lovely stuff i'll have him on the inside yes oh no no no no no no no no here we go now we are talking i thought it was a zonder at first oh no here we go get in there 115 120 fps who even cares anymore the framerate's pretty amazing i love this game here we go doesn't get any better than this oh next up i want to give cod vanguard a go 1440p refresh rate crank right up 36dti of course for our gpu all of our other settings pretty much on automatic but a high preset with a frame rate limit set to maximum and of course vsync disabled i'm going to tune the preset down from ultra to high just because i think this will make a bit of an impact in terms of our gameplay and then i'm also going to enable uh nvidia dlss on balance mode that's all looking pretty good to me so take a look through those settings if you want to copy them for yourself you're more than welcome to do so we're going to hit apply to make sure they basically get implemented and then we're going to jump into a solo game of zombies just because this is one of the most intense ways to run the game and will really push the frame rate to the maximum let's see almost what a worst case scenario is so let's jump into this solo game and see what happens and we are off frame rate so far 154 frames a second not a bad start out the gate the frame rate as well staying pretty solid around 165 frames per second mark as well 150 578 and that's obviously important with 165hz refresh rate of our monitor so no complaints from me there whatsoever out of here get out of here that was close that was a close call a little bit too close if i like it i think but we're progressing nicely frame rate solid game looks great colors as well look really good and uh the enable of dlss is also sort of giving us that nice 1440p quality but with the frame rate that you'd often find by gaming at 1080p so bonuses all around on that front all in all there's not too much to report other than some great results in cod vanguard super super impressed dlss all of those kind of features helping us nicely here and giving us a nice sustained high frame rate throughout happy days and i should have as well at this point that the sensitivity of our lightweight nzxt mouse and in particular the keyboard the mouse i'm a bit 50 50 on the keyboard i actually really like the switches feel light and nimble i normally game with the cherry mx blue personally although a red switch is the way to go and these gateron switches actually feel good for someone who would normally only consider a cherry mx design so not bad at all from nzxt links to everything as usual will be in the description below to wrap things up i also figured it would make sense to do a quick mic test of our corsair headset for comparison sake you're currently listening now to a rode ntg4 plus costing around 300 and if we switch to the corsair hs80 for a headset mic it's actually phenomenally good even getting into a bit of twitch streaming would be more than good enough with this headset and one more professional options are available for content creators keeping in touch with friends on discord and all that jazz is gonna be great on this unit and with that that pretty much wraps it up if you enjoyed this video make sure to give it a big old like rating get subscribed and as always we'll see you in the next onein this video i'm going to be showing you how to build a gaming setup around a 2 000 budget everything from our pc build to our monitor and peripherals with some of the latest releases from cooler master and nzxt to
