**First Impressions of "Tony's" Leap Motion-Exclusive First Person Shooter**
I recently had the opportunity to witness a demo of a new, upcoming first person shooter that is being developed by French game developers who are comprised of former Ubisoft employees. The game, titled "Tony," is an on-rail shooter that takes place in a comic book-inspired world with a Tarantino-esque twist. The gameplay was showcased using a Leap Motion Controller, which allowed the developer to demonstrate its capabilities.
The demo began with the developer showing off some of the game's features, including its unique motion control system and over-the-top violence. The game is set in a mobster world where the player takes on the role of Tony, a new player who finds himself in trouble. I didn't get to delve too deeply into the story itself, but it seemed fairly standard with some added twists courtesy of the Tarantino-inspired style.
One of the most impressive aspects of the game was its motion control system, which allowed the developer to move the controller around on screen without needing to physically touch it. The lead motion controller tracked accurately where my hand was pointing, and I was able to fire at targets with ease. While the auto-fire feature did make things easier, there were also gestures available for reloading and other actions that added a layer of interaction to the gameplay.
The overall impression I took away from the demo was that it looked like something I would definitely want to play. The game's visuals were impressive, and I was struck by how responsive the motion control system felt. Of course, being pre-alpha code meant that there may be some bugs or rough edges, but overall, it seemed like a well-crafted experience.
One of the most notable aspects of the demo was just how advanced the Leap Motion Controller is compared to other controllers on the market. The developer's ability to track my hand movements with such precision was truly impressive, and I couldn't help but wonder what kind of experiences would be possible with this level of control. Whether or not it will be enough to justify the cost of a Leap Motion Controller remains to be seen, but one thing is certain - if you have the hardware, you'll definitely want to check this game out.
The demo also included some details about the gameplay and story, including a promise that there would be a long and varied experience with multiple missions, boss fights, and different types of weapons. The developers seemed committed to creating a story-driven experience that would appeal to fans of first person shooters, as well as those who enjoy comic book-inspired fiction.
The trailer for the game is available on the official website, and I'd recommend checking it out if you're interested in learning more about "Tony" or the Leap Motion Controller. One thing's for sure - if this game is as good as it looks, it'll be a must-play experience for fans of first person shooters.
In terms of release details, the game is currently set to be PC-exclusive, with Elite Motion also getting early access. It's unclear at this time whether it will make its way to other platforms, including PS3 via the Move or Xbox 360 via Connect. However, given the current trajectory of the development team and the growing interest in Leap Motion technology, it wouldn't be surprising if we see a wider release in the future.
My final impression was that, as a first person shooter fan, I would definitely want to play "Tony." The game's unique blend of Tarantino-inspired violence and humor had me laughing out loud during the demo, and I couldn't help but feel excited about the prospect of exploring this world further. If you're in the market for a new FPS experience that pushes the boundaries of what we know possible with motion control systems, then "Tony" is definitely worth keeping an eye on.
"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enwhat's up guys and welcome to my video now this video is all about a game that i got to see behind closed doors at gamescom and this is a game called blue estate now blue estate was actually a game that's being exclusively developed on the pc for a new piece of technology called leap motion which you may have heard of now leap motion is effectively a hands-free gesture device very small plugs into your pc or your mac and it allows you to do all sorts of gestures and things without having to touch anything at all you literally just use your hands and blue estate is a game that's a comic book adaptation and the comic is called blue estate and it's a first person shooter that's on rails so you'll simply use your hand like this and then you aim and you can shoot the enemies and it's a story based game so it's just like a normal first person shooter on rails except completely hands-free now the game itself is being developed by he saw which is a new indie developer and when i got to see it it was literally just a demonstration that was running off a mid to high-end laptop so it wasn't exactly a big piece of gaming kit but the game itself looks really really really good especially bearing in mind that it was off a laptop as i said i didn't actually get to use it so i can't tell you how it felt now the game is in development by a company called he saw and this is quite a new indie developer they are all french and they're made up with some of actually ex-ubisoft employees but it was showing off to me and i didn't actually get to go hands-on with it i was just literally seeing it off a screen and a developer was actually showing me what was going on and was explaining to me all the sort of stuff how it worked and it is a comic book adaptation but it's done in the style of a tarantino-esque sort of movie and by this it's pretty over the top when it comes to the violence but also it's got a lot of sly sort of humor in it and it was actually very entertaining this first person shooter is all about a mobster sort of world a new player is a guy named tony and he's obviously in a bit of trouble and there's all sorts of stuff going on i didn't get to dive too deeply into the story itself but it should be a fairly standard story but with that tarantino-esque humor and violence it means it's going to be something that's quite unique and from what i saw it certainly looks like something you're going to want to play now obviously it is on rails so you don't have to move about and you simply aim just by doing this and your lead motion controller will track on screen where your hand is pointing and the fire i believe was actually an auto fire but there's gestures like reload and stuff so you are quite involved in what you're doing and obviously you're going to have to be quite accurate where you fire now my overall impressions of it were that it looked like it's something i would definitely want to play it looked very responsive of course it was pre-alpha code and the game is currently a pc exclusive and elite motion exclusive it'll be available on airspace and actually it might come later down the line to ps3 via the move and xbox 360 via the connect but that will probably be based on how well it sells on the leap but how long it will take to come to those platforms we don't actually know the main impressions that i came away with was that for an on-rail shooter it was very very impressive and it's definitely the most advanced form of sort of hands-free gestures you've ever seen obviously you're not using a controller like you would be with a playstation move and the actual hands-free sort of it's way more advanced than it would be with the connect so i definitely think leap motion is going to be the place to play it anyway how much is it going to cost i'm not entirely sure but they said that the story is going to be fairly long there's quite a few missions they said boss fights will definitely be over over the top and it will take a long time so how long it will actually take to complete i'm not sure but they seem like a lot of different stuff to do they seem like a variety of weapons and it seems like the gameplay although obviously the gameplay is going to be quite similar because it's an on-rail shooter it did seem quite varied and the story elements did make me laugh quite a few times and they've got sort of like text that comes on the screen almost like a narrator that doesn't speak and that was actually very funny and i think the story-wise it's going to be one of the most advanced story sort of rail shooters i've seen for a long time as well i think the main impressions that i came away with really is firstly if i had a leak motion controller then i'd definitely get it whether i would get a leak motion controller for the game i i do doubt but i'm sure there are many reasons to get a leap motor controller other than this game but if it actually is as responsive as it kind of seemed obviously i didn't get to use it so i really can't say which is a shame so if it actually does track your hand properly and doesn't do anyth anything particularly funny or actually you know it actually works properly then i think it's definitely something that you'll want to play if you like first person shooters obviously it's a completely new way of playing a game with the leap motion controller um but just the first person shooter in as a genre it's quite different and it's something that if you have a leap motion controller then you might want to well you definitely want to have a good look at if you've got a leak motion controller so those were my impressions of the game i'll leave a link in the description below to both the website and the actual trailer for the game and definitely give lead motion a look it's not about playing games on there's so many different things you can do in it but if you can play good games like this one looks like it will be then it's definitely a reason to give the leap motion controller a look as well thank you for watching and i will see you next timewhat's up guys and welcome to my video now this video is all
