BRAND NEW HOUSE_ GUEST BATHROOM SET UP _ How I decorate using Tradition_Tuscan Decor

Renovating My Guest Bathroom with a Vintage Touch

I'm excited to share with you my guest bathroom renovation journey, where I've brought back some of the best pieces from my last home and incorporated them with a fresh new look. The first step was to tackle that blank space on the wall. Normally, it would be used for cabinets, but since there aren't any in this house, I decided to use it as an opportunity to add a new shelf. This one's style is very much my own, with a mix of rustic and wood accents. It looks great with the mirror and granite countertop, so I'm thinking of placing it right here.

Next up was finding a way to utilize that huge space above the ceiling. It seemed like there was plenty of room for something bigger and better. I decided to bring back this piece from my last guest bedroom, which originally sat on top of these cabinets in the bathroom. I'll be placing it just so, and it's going to look amazing! The same principle applies here as well – it was also used in the previous guest bathroom – but with a slightly different approach.

Now that we have our shelves and decorative pieces in place, let's talk about towels. Since I wanted to maintain some consistency throughout this space, I decided to reuse the same towels from my last home. They're still looking great, and they add a touch of warmth to the overall aesthetic. Moving on to another topic – bath mats! I'm not sure what happened to the ones from the last house, but I did end up making a quick trip to Walmart to find some new ones that would match the towels.

The results are pretty impressive, don't you think? The space looks almost identical to how it did in my last home, and I couldn't be happier with the way everything came together. One thing I will probably change in the future is the curtain itself – I'm thinking of going for a different route. Additionally, we're still missing those bath mats; I might have to make another trip soon.

One aspect of my style that you'll notice throughout this space is my love for greenery. I find it helps create a cozy atmosphere and adds a touch of luxury to the room. You can see it in all sorts of ways, from the wreath on the wall to the plants I've brought back from my last home.

A special mention goes to this frame on the mirror – it was a gift from my sister-in-law, and I adore it so much! Not only does it add a touch of elegance, but when you look at it closely, you can see the reflection of the wreath there. Speaking of which, that wreath is another one I've brought back from my last home – it adds just the right amount of whimsy to this space.

The good news is that this renovation didn't require me to do any major work or renovations like some people might think. The house had a similar color scheme and style already, which made it easy for me to incorporate the pieces I wanted. It's not my area of expertise, but I do love creating spaces that feel cozy and inviting.

I wish I could be more like those DIY experts who transform entire houses from scratch, but I don't think I'll ever have that level of confidence or skill. Nevertheless, it's great to know that sometimes, you can achieve amazing results by simply bringing back what already works for you and adding a fresh new twist.
