iPhone 13 - FINALLY as good as SAMSUNG!

Hello and welcome to Front Page Tech, I'm John Prosser here, listen it's not what it looks like actually it's exactly what it looks like the tech news drought it's been hard on me and on my family so I'm a burglar now basically you know my full-time job is to uh to burgle i will give you ten dollars if you subscribe right now that's actually not true but subscribe anyway and turn on all notifications so you don't miss the next episode well hello Dan welcome back to Front Page Tech FPT hey of course the show that gives you all latest tech news from one geek that is me to another that is you welcome to the next seven to ten minutes ish of your life that you're about to let me waste oh wait what's that you want me to waste even more of your time then check out this week's episode of Genius Bar it's two hours of time that you'll never get back with special guest Luke Miani have fun okay donkey uh let's talk about tech news whatever tech news we can find okay so first up for the day story numero uno oh man we are at a point now right where the most exciting story of the week really the most exciting story for the rest of the year is iPad Mini yep that's what we're doing but to be fair i'm like actually really excited about it I mean look at it how could you not be excited. You might remember a couple months ago I gave you guys and the rest of the internet your first look at the brand new redesigned iPad Mini 6 based on images that were sent to me by trusted sources we had images, cad renders all that but up until now there hasn't been any official word from Apple on the upcoming device.

In recent weeks, however, rumors have started circulating about an upcoming iPad Mini 6, with some reports suggesting that it will feature a slightly larger display and improved camera capabilities compared to its predecessor. While nothing has been officially confirmed by Apple yet, it's clear that the tech community is abuzz with excitement over the prospect of a new iPad Mini. I've also heard from some sources that the device may be released in the near future, possibly as early as this quarter.

For those who may not have seen the latest images and renderings of the rumored iPad Mini 6, I'll try to provide a brief rundown of what we know so far. According to my sources, the new device is expected to feature a slightly larger display than its predecessor, with some reports suggesting that it could be as large as 8.5 inches. The camera capabilities are also expected to be improved, possibly even featuring a quad-camera setup similar to the iPhone 13 Pro.

But enough about the iPad Mini for now, let's move on to something else. AirPods 3 production is said to be starting next month, according to Nikkei and Digi Times. While this is hardly surprising news, as we've been hearing rumors about an upcoming third-generation AirPods for months, it's always nice to get confirmation from a reputable source like Nikkei.

It's worth noting that Digi Times has also reported that the AirPods 3 will launch at the iPhone 13 event in September. However, as we all know, these reports are hardly ever confirmed by Apple, so take this with a grain of salt for now.

Moving on to other tech news, it's been reported that Jeff Bezos was shot into space recently. Born in 1964, Bezos became the second billionaire to reach space after Richard Branson, who launched on his private jet last year. The exact circumstances of Bezos' launch are still unclear, but it's clear that he's taken a significant step towards becoming one of the first billionaires to venture into space.

On a related note, Guaming Chi has reported that Apple is internally testing a new external display with an A13 chip inside, as well as neural engine something or other to accelerate machine learning tasks. While this news isn't entirely surprising, it's clear that Apple is investing heavily in artificial intelligence and machine learning technology, and we can expect to see more of these innovations in the future.

Finally, there was a rather bizarre report from MyDrivers, a Chinese website known for its outlandish claims about tech news, suggesting that this year's iPhone will support 25-watt fast charging. While this is hardly surprising, as Samsung's Galaxy S21 already supports up to 25 watts of fast charging, it's clear that Apple wants to stay competitive in the market.

And that's all for today's show, folks. Thanks for tuning in and I'll catch you all next time on Front Page Tech!

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enoh hey john prosser here listen it's not what it looks like actually it's exactly what it looks like the tech news drought it's been hard on me and on my family so i'm it's two hours of time that you'll never get back with special guest luke miani have fun okay donkey uh let's talk about tech news whatever tech news we can find okay so first up for the day story numero uno oh man we are at a point now right where the most exciting story of the week really the most exciting story for the rest of the year is ipad mini yep that's what we're doing but to be fair i'm like actually really excited about it i mean look at it how could you not be excited you might remember a couple months ago i gave you guys and the rest of the internet your first look at the brand new redesigned ipad mini 6 based on images that were sent to me by trusted sources we had images cad renders all that but up until that point the best that we had to go on was this image here from sunny dixon that he had tweeted that allegedly showed the new ipad mini the disappointing part was that well based on this image the ipad mini at least what he alleged was ipad mini did not appear to be getting redesigned but then of course i came in like skirt hey guys it's gonna be redesigned you're changing it showing instead a complete redesign similar to the 2020 ipad air with slimmer bezels no home button touch id in the power button and a usb c port on the bottom of all things oh uh and this thing a smart connector on the back there was um well you could say there was an issue with this though see i put this out this whole redesign coming to ipad mini leak i put that report out just days after getting my last one wrong about a macbook pro coming to wwdc uh so you can see naturally how some people were skeptical about this ipad mini report but throughout this past week we've gotten all sorts of new info to help back this up first from 95 mac they basically backed up the most shocking parts of my ipad mini redesign information saying that according to their sources the new ipad mini will feature the a15 chip have a usb c port instead of lightning port and feature a smart connector on the back so far so good right but then uh things things got a little fuzzy they got a little weird because after that 9.5 mac exclusive we got a new report from digi times now the good news uh they repeated my claim of touch id coming to the power button but then they said this they claimed that the ipad mini 6 will have a mini led display and if you're like wait a minute that did not sound right you you'd be correct it does not sound right at all i mean after all this is a lower end ipad right sort of it's small it's ipad air but not it's not everybody's small i know apple is mini led'ing all of the things right now but is it really necessary on ipad mini do we really gotta do we have to but then gasp the drama ross young a display analyst that is far more accurate than digi times and if anyone would know about displays it would be him he chimed in saying that digi times was wrong the report was incorrect that there would not i repeat not be a mini led display in this new ipad mini so there you go digi times each yet again as they always do they're rated like 60 something percent on apple track which not great but listen i still stand by this i still think that this is the most exciting product left for this year this just seems like the perfect bedtime ipad i love my ipad air use it all the time prefer it over an ipad pro but even in bed this is a little too big for my tiny baby hands so you bet your sweet ass that when this ipad mini comes out and it's just like this but small i'm gonna buy that i'm gonna buy so hard i'm gonna lay in bed with my tiny baby hands on my tiny baby ipad alright now let's pay some tiny baby bills hey it's summer which means you're probably just leaving your balls hanging out which is what you're doing again listen i don't have a lot i don't have enough for like a whole story to end the show with to like deep dive into so instead we're just going to pick up the tech news droppings whatever little ones that we can find we're going to take them all and mix them all together and put them here at the end uh this is consider this like uh tech links quick bits but this is more of like a tech news garbage disposal okay where should we start um airpods 3 production is said to be starting next month cool according to nikkei nikki whatever and digi times and then also according to digi times they meaning the airpods 3 will launch at the iphone 13 event in september but like remember that's digi time saying that so almost guaranteed to be the exact opposite oh uh they shot jeffrey bezos into space that's cool born in 1964 jeffrey jeffrey what else happened this week oh uh another exclusive from 95 mac according to them apple is internally testing a new external display that has an a13 chip inside as well as neural engine something or other to accelerate machine learning tasks or whatever and then ah guaming chi says that the uh the new 13-inch macbook air will launch in the middle of 2022 all right cool cool remember that we leaked the design of that back in may first redesign a long time for the for the macbook air oh and colors so you know look forward to that that's awesome uh then oh oh also there was this really weird really weird report came from this chinese website called my drivers they said uh that this year's iphone will support 25 watt fast charging kind of sketchy kind of sus but here we are we need the tech news thank you very much this would be 5 watts faster than the current iphone 12 lineup and also put the iphone in line with samsung's galaxy s21 fast charging that also supports up to 25 watts oh there it is there we have it that's titled that is going to be the title for today's show tell me the fanboys would not go crazy over iphone13 finally it's good at samsung i hate youtube i hate youtube sometimes i don't want to title the videos like this i don't want to have to do this but this is how the game is played boys and daddy is here to play i'm leaving oh hey john prosser here listen the tech news has been\n"
