### Overview of 2018 iPhone Models

If you’ve been following my previous videos, you know I’ve already covered a few episodes about the 2018 iPhones and even did a separate video on the iPhone 10 Plus. To save time, I recommend checking those out for more details. But to keep things concise here, let’s focus on what we can expect in 2018.

One thing we’re sure about is that Apple will release a larger iPhone model with the same design as the iPhone 10 but in a bigger form factor. As for naming conventions, Apple has moved away from using specific names like “iPhone X” or “iPhone XS.” Instead, they’ve started labeling their products more generically—for example, the iPad Pro (2017) and the entry-level iPad released in 2017 are simply called the iPad. Following this trend, it’s likely that the new iPhones will be referred to as the iPhone, iPhone Plus, or something similar.

---

### Antenna and Case Technology Updates

One of the most significant updates mentioned by trusted sources like Mengjie Qua is the improved metal frame design for better signal transmission. The iPhone 10 currently has four parts of its case acting as antennas, but with the 2018 models, this number might increase to six. This change will not only enhance signal strength but also make the iPhones more sleek and visually appealing, as you’ll likely see fewer visible lines on the case.

Mid-cheek Wall, another reliable source, reported that Apple has already placed orders for new metal frames for two iPhone models—probably the standard iPhone 2018 and the larger iPhone Plus model. Additionally, there’s speculation about an **iPhone SE 2** (or iPhone Mini), which might feature an aluminum frame instead of the traditional glass and metal design.

---

### Camera System and LTE Improvements

When it comes to camera technology, Apple is sticking with what works best. Despite rumors suggesting that they might switch to a new system using seven plastic lenses, production issues have led them to keep the dual-camera module seen in the iPhone 10. This decision ensures consistency and reliability in image quality.

Another major update is the use of **Liquid Crystal Polymer (LCP) antenna modules**, which promise faster LTE speeds. According to reports, these new modules will allow iPhones to achieve LTE speeds of up to 1.2 gigabits per second—double the speed of the iPhone 10’s current capabilities. If your carrier supports this technology, you’ll experience blazing-fast internet on your phone.

### The 6.1-Inch LCD Model: A New Addition

In a recent video discussing four new iPhone models for 2018, I mentioned the possibility of a **6.1-inch LCD model**. This device is expected to fill the gap between the standard iPhone 2018 (5.8 inches) and the larger iPhone Plus (6.5 inches). It will feature the same design as the iPhone 10 but with an LCD display, making it more affordable to manufacture.

Some sources suggest that this model might be referred to as the **iPhone SE 2** rather than the iPhone Mini. The reasoning is simple: at 6.1 inches, it’s not small enough to warrant the “Mini” name. Instead, it will sit comfortably between the standard and plus models in terms of size. Nikkei has confirmed that this model will have a metal back and frame, similar to the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus released in 2016.

---

### Battery Life Enhancements

Finally, let’s talk about something we all care about: battery life. The iPhone 10 isn’t known for its exceptional battery performance, so Apple is addressing this issue with some big updates. According to reports from Nick Heyak, Apple plans to use **in-house power management chips** in the 2018 iPhones. This change will allow them to optimize power usage more effectively, leading to improved battery life.

If you’ve ever wondered why AirPods have such impressive battery life for their size, it’s because of the custom W1 chip Apple uses. The same logic applies here: a dedicated power management chip can make a significant difference in how long your phone lasts throughout the day. With these updates, we’re hopeful that the 2018 iPhones will set a new standard for battery performance.

---

### Conclusion and Call to Action

To recap, the 2018 iPhone lineup is expected to include:

1. **iPhone** (standard model)

2. **iPhone Plus** (larger display)

3. **iPhone SE 2 / Mini** (smaller, more affordable option)

4. **6.1-inch LCD model** (mid-tier option)

Each of these models will bring improvements in design, performance, and features. Whether you’re looking for better signal strength, faster LTE speeds, or longer battery life, the 2018 iPhones seem to have something for everyone.

Thank you for reading, and I’ll see you in my next video!

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enthis is going to be a really interesting and exciting video let's talk about the iPhone 11 or the 2018 iPhone depending on how this thing is going to be called so I have some very big updates on this iPhone so welcome to my like summer series I'm Daniel and I'm actually doing a giveaway by the way Christmas giveaway even though you know Christmas might be over but if I'm watching this video but still I'm giving away a Google home Mini and the Google home ad is essentially a smart home assistant there's a ton of stuff that you can do with this thing even if you don't have any other smart home accessories now apples home pod is not out yet by the way and the Google home is the closest thing to death so generate a giveaway all you have to do is just subscribe to the channel if you're new to this channel and then also make sure you're following me on all of my social media accounts or Twitter Instagram Facebook the link for all of these is a no description box down below and then also leave a comment in this video as to why you would want to win this and I will be picking the winners in early January more about that on my Twitter account a ton of time all right dad let's go back through to 2018 iPhones so grab some popcorn and enjoy okay so I've done a few previously cameras episodes on the 2018 iPhones the four new iPhone models were 2018 and also I've did a separate video on the iPhone 10 plus so definitely check those out if you want to know more about that but long story short what we know for sure is that in 2018 Apple will be releasing a larger iPhone 10 model obviously we won't be called the iPhone 10 but it will have the same design just a larger form factor now I personally don't think that Apple will have a dedicated naming scheme for 2018 I phones so most likely they will just be called iPhone and that's it now Apple has recently done the same thing with the iPads if you take a look at yet but so the 2017 iPad pros they're just called iPad pros 2017 or iPad probes second generation and then the new entry-level iPad that Apple has just released in 2017 that's simply called the iPad and that's pretty much it no naming scheme to that iPad either and they've also done the same thing with all of their max you're just called you know the MacBook Pro mid 2017 MacBook mid or early 2016 and so on and because of this Apple will probably name the 2018 iPhones the iPhone as a replacement for the iPhone 10 so in that case we'll have the iPhone 11 essentially when improved specs camera upgrade over the iPhone 10 and we'll also have the iPhone plus basically the one I was talking about before so same iPhone 2018 design same specs same camera options just with the larger display a tweaked user interface so similar to the plus UI that we currently have on plus models of the iPhones essentially the same UI that lets you rotate the home screen and get more info and some apps if you use them a landscape and maybe we'll also see a third iPhone model the iPhone se 2 which also talked about more in this video for new iPhone models in 2018 and that one might be called the iPhone Mini so iPhone iPhone plus and iPhone Mini for 2018 this is what I believe is going to be the case next year but apart from everything that I've already talked about before in my previous videos I have a lot of updates for this video as well so first off mengjie qua whom I mentioned a lot on his channel he's one of the most trusted sources when it comes to Apple weeks and he reports that the 2018 iPhones will actually have a much more accomplished metal frame for improved solar signal transmission so essentially the iPhone 10 currently has four parts of the case that acts as antennas and with the iPhone 2018 these might be increased to six in total so what does this mean aside from the better signal well you'll also see more antenna lines on your 2018 iPhones most likely and then mid-cheek wall he also reports that capture technology and also case tech they've already one orders from Apple for the new metal frames for 2018 for actually two iPhone models which are probably going to be the iPhone 2018 and the iPhone plus 2018 now there's also that iPhone se 2 which I kept mentioning in the previous videos now that one might come with an aluminum frame most likely so that's the reason why this one hasn't been mentioned in the report then another interesting report coming from KJ Security's says that Apple will still be using the dual camera module for the 2018 I phones now why is this so interesting well that's because we've actually heard some other reports that I Baloo be switching to a different camera system that actually uses 7 plastic lens for a 2018 iPhones however this is most likely not going to be the case because of the production issues that those new components will cause so in this case Apple will probably stick to the same camera system as we've seen in the iPhone 10 and then on our report coming from Cole as well Vinci cool and this one actually showcases the internet improvements it will be seeing with the 2018 iPhones so apparently a note was sent to some investors that Apple will be using liquid crystal polymer or LCP antenna modules that will actually result in overall much higher LTE speeds so essentially this will result in at least a double-double the LTE speeds that we get with the iPhone 10 and also when it comes to the actual LT modems these are probably going to be the Snapdragon X 20 LTE modem or the until X mm 707 to is 60 so the new iPhones will be able to achieve LTE speeds of up to 1.2 gigabits per second by the way what 1.2 gigabits per second LTE on your phone imagine that imagine that on your phone of course that you know at the moment the fastest networks are around 100 to 200 megabits per second which even even that's crazy fast I mean at home most of you are probably getting like what 20 megabits per second some even lower I'm by the way how fast your internet connection is at home but essentially you could have 10 times or even more the speed that you have at home and that's on your smart phone if your carrier it supports that of course but yeah let me know in comments what speed are actually getting at the moment at home on your Wi-Fi network and also on your phone on your LTE network I'm really curious you reading those comments and now I have a few more updates on the 4th iPhone model for 2018 so you know the iPhone 2018 this is the one that we are going to get as the iPhone 10 replacement and the iPhone plus 2018 as a second model and then the iPhone se too as you know the third model and the small model but in that four new iPhones video that I did a while ago I talked about a fourth iPhone model for 2018 a 6.1 inches LCD model that Apple might be launching next year as well so there is a possibility that this is in fact the iPhone se 2 by the way and in that case it will definitely not be called the iPhone Mini or even the iPhone se 2 because you know it's not a mini it's actually larger than the iPhone 2018 which will still come at five point eight inches so this will feature the same design as the iPhone 10 however size-wise it will be in between the iPhone 2018 and the iPhone plus 20 now having an LCD display will mean that it's going to be cheaper to manufacture and it's also going to come with your lower with the low resolution display as well with a PPI of around 326 you know apples magical PPI number now even though even though this new iPhone is going to come with a true def camera the back will probably be made out of aluminum by the way to make it cheaper to manufacture it will still come with those puzzles with that basileus design with that same iPhone 10 design that we have at the moment on the front please and in fact that it's going to come with a with an aluminum back and also in a little inner frame has also been confirmed by nikkei which reported that Apple will be releasing an LCD 6.1 inch is iPhone in 2018 with a metal back and ethyle frame so essentially similar to the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 plus from back in 2016 and then finally I have some very big updates in terms of the battery life so well we all want you know good battery life on our phones and the iPhones are good but they're not you know they're not amazing I did a few battery drain tests by the way holding for days as an inscription and essentially the iPhone lost in pretty much all of them so yeah fortunately at home 10 when it comes to battery life is definitely not the best so some big updates when it comes to battery life Nick hey act for your ports that Apple will be using its own in-house power management chips in the 2010 iPhones so why is this a big thing well it's pretty big because this means that instead of Apple using you know the Apple 11 chip or the Apple a tool for doing all the power management's they will actually have a dedicated way more power efficient chip on a motherboard just for that so essentially this could result in greatly increased battery life which is something that you know we always need in our smartphones today if you take a look at the Apple earpods Apple actually uses a custom-made w-want chip and essentially the reason why the air pods have the best battery life on any wireless headphones on the market right now especially when it comes in that size the earbuds well the reason for that is that w-want chip if they didn't have the w-want chip the battery life would have been much much worse on your box but they're ago all the latest iPhone 20 18 weeks of rumors some pretty interesting updates when it comes to the battery life when it comes to the antennas and also when it comes to the LTE speeds and the new third option for the iPhone lineup that's iPhone AC 2 or the 6.1 inches iPhone the real check of my previous episodes on the iPhone 2018 and also don't forget to subscribe for more in depth tech videos like this one and also don't forget to multiplications by tapping on a bell icon so that you get notified as soon as a new video comes out and then finally speaking of forgetting about things don't forget about a giveaway link for everything you need is an inscription and yeah good luck whoever wins this will definitely enjoy his or hers Google home waiting it's honestly a really really cool device but aren't dads has been pretty much it so yeah think of watching I'm Daniel and I'll see you guys in my next one it's enough tech so you know juicethis is going to be a really interesting and exciting video let's talk about the iPhone 11 or the 2018 iPhone depending on how this thing is going to be called so I have some very big updates on this iPhone so welcome to my like summer
