**The bittersweet conclusion of Dexter**
Even though Hannah McKay was technically the cause of all this mess, that still doesn't take away from the fact that he should have been there for his son Harrison. I just noticed my lighting conditions are going all over the place, place - with all that said perhaps the best thing to do is for Dexter to disappear because let's face the G On's truth right now guys no Dexter equals no more problems Harrison can grow up to be a normal person without Dexter having to worry about hiding his killing ways and Hannah McKay despite her poisoning ways can live a somewhat normal life so there's that - not the best ending in the world if you want my opinion.
I personally would have wanted Deborah to live. I don't think there's any reason for them to kill off Deborah especially at the very last episode. I just didn't feel that was right especially considering after everything Deborah has gone through she has a good person at heart and she was just mixed up with the wrong people at the wrong places at the wrong time. So I would have been perfectly fine with Dexter going to Argentina with Hannah McKay and his son Harrison - why couldn't they have just done that? I feel like show Tai may have tried too hard at the very end and we said oh wait we have one more episode to fill we're going to have a couple people killed off we're going to have Dexstar seclude himself completely from the world completely from those he loves - that just feels like the best thing to do right. Not in my opinion but guys you know what I will say this right now.
I obviously don't write TV shows for a living but series finales they're never easy. You will never ever please everyone with series finales they're not easy to pull off whatsoever especially with a show as large as Dexter. Just like shows like lost that series finale pissed a lot of people off. I personally loved it - I mean it did it did feel a little easy but I was fine with it because it came down to the presentation and the characters how they were involved how the characters interacted with one another towards the very end and that felt right to me. But with Dexter it felt unnecessary to kill off Deborah just to do it and it felt wrong to separate Dexter and Harrison despite all the trouble they've been through. Yeah like I said perhaps no Dexter equals no more problems but I guess that's something we'll never find out.
It just really sucks when a TV show you love kind of ends badly but what can you do now? With all this said in today's video I still do love Dexter - I'm not going to let a disappointing ending ruined the whole show for me because it quite honestly is one of the best shows I've ever consumed. I loved Dexter as a whole I love the characters especially Deborah she was just so funny and Muka I love all of the sexual jokes especially that one episode where he found the two guys wrapped in plastic with the slow motion gestures he was doing it was just hilarious.
The characters as a whole were just extremely likable and the writers did a great job despite the somewhat weird ending because at the end of the day Dexter really is a hero of mine. He is weeding out the worthless of the world and you know me I'm a big believer in that. I like concentrating on the positive people and those who make a difference in this world so Dexter is essentially killing the haters and you know what I'm okay with that which is why I soon plan to have a picture of Dexter hanging up in my living room cuz I want to see his face every day and be reminded of what he's done throughout the whole show.
Despite innocent people dying you know Deborah laguera and all those people I still think his intentions were good. Obviously they didn't pan out the way he expected him to but you know what that's life. Dexter is a show I will never ever forget. I just wish I wasn't spoiled by a couple out there and I'm sorry again for the language but that's how strongly I feel against spoilers.
But like I said earlier this is the last time I will ever announce that I'm currently watching a show show in my future YouTube videos at least until after I'm finished said show cuz I just can't risk it anymore. But for those who were here with me along the ride thank you so much your genuine support is much appreciated guys I really hope you enjoyed this video it wasn't my usual style and I'm sure this video is going to be at least like 15 minutes I went longer than I expected but I really did love the show that much and I wanted to express my thoughts and this is a video that I will look back on for years to come. So again thank you so much your support is amazing and I will see you in tomorrow's video which is hopefully a vlog if all goes according to plan peace
"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhello everybody how are you David DeFranco here from David def franco.com brand new redesign check it out I appreciate it so today's video is going to be very different from what I usually do I'm going to specifically focus on one TV show called Dexter as you probably guessed judging from the title right below so I fully understand if you don't find this video interesting I mean I don't care if this video gets 10 views 1,000 views or 20,000 views which I know it's never going to hit 20,000 because this is kind of a niche topic so I just want to make that clear going in and another thing this video is going to be filled with a ton of spoilers so if you're currently watching Dexter right now turn the video off trust me you do not want to get spoiled by everything I am about to say and if you're thinking of watching Dexter please turn the video off for that as well because I will not be personally offended trust me because I love Dexter that much and I really feel like it deserves to be watched this despite the pretty bad ending but I'll talk about that at the end of this video so you have been warned tons of spoilers ahead let's get started so in this video I'm going to go through all eight seasons some brief thoughts and then finally give you my final impressions of the show as a whole including the ending which wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be but I'll talk about that in a few moments all right so starting out with season 1 the ice truck killer was the main killer that's no secret and I got to be honest real quick the show didn't really grow on me until maybe episode 5 or six which says a lot because a while ago I gave Dexter a shot by watching the first few minutes or so of episode one and I just didn't get it so I just found that interesting I mean the show didn't really click with me until maybe midseason of season 1 but from there on out it was fascinating especially when Deborah started to date the ice truck killer that was really really interesting to me I mean the fact that the Killer is right there in Miami dating the sister of a forensic specialist being Dexter it was a really cool feeling it was fascinating to follow and you kept saying to yourself when is Dexter going to find out and even worse when is Deborah going to find out that she's dating an actual psychopath so fast warning towards the end of season 1 the I killer is eventually killed by Dexter himself but with Deb unconscious in that same room and deor almost finds out that Dexter is in that room but we don't really see those flashbacks again maybe until I think season 7 but still eventually the exra Killer is killed so all is good right well sort of so starting out with season 2 this is easily one of my favorite seasons of the show it's all about the Bay Harbor butcher otherwise known as Dexter so not only is Miami Metro getting closer and closer closer to the killer but they don't know it's Dexter themselves I mean here we have a forensic specialist basically blood spatter that's what Dexter does here in the office hunting the Bay Harbor Butcher and they have no idea it's him now me as a viewer I was nervous throughout this entire season because I kept constantly thinking what if debor finds out what if matsuka finds out or Batista finds out or laguera or even worse does because let's face it Sergeant does is always on on top of Dexter because he kind of had a weird slash bad Vibe about him but let's just say this does does die the very end of season 2 in this massive explosion all thanks to lla who is this new love interest of Dexter because he's kind of having trouble in Paradise with Rita his real girlfriend and I got to say I really did like Lyla a lot I mean since the very beginning I kind of had a weird feeling about her I mean something just wasn't feeling right and obviously eventually she ended up being a psycho torching her own apartment down just for the the passion and attention of Dexter which eventually led to like I said Do's dying which just causes more trouble but not trouble for everyone because Dexter was finally at ease again because Miami Metro was eventually led to believe that does was the Bay Harbor butcher which obviously didn't sit well for legua because legua and does were kind of close and they had feelings for one another but Dexter was obviously happy in a way because Stokes is always suspicious of Dexter's activities but I'm sure Dexter did feel bad in some way or another because Stokes is an innocent human being to an extent I just say that because he obviously shot someone earlier in that season but I'm not going to go into that right now okay so I'm going more in depth than I thought it would so let's just speed this up season 3 got to be honest it started out slow especially with how exciting season 2 was to me I just wasn't feeling season 3 right away but it wasn't until maybe like episode three or four where I eventually grew to really like Miguel he was just an awesome character and as far as I'm concern he was Dexter's first real friend in the show and he actually hung out with Dexter on a somewhat regular basis but long story short eventually Miguel kind of learned the code with Dexter and went behind his back and killed an innocent woman I forget her name right now but that was definitely a great episode and Dexter eventually realized the kind of person Miguel was and well he basically had to go and finally season 3 wrapped up with Dexter and Rita marrying one another so Dexter was finally part of a happy and somewhat normal family which brings us into season 4 probably my favorite season throughout the whole show the Trinity Killer I loved the Trinity Killer Not only was he just creepy but the guy who played his part it just felt so natural so eventually at some point we meet this new girl I think Christine Hill is her name and we find out that she's actually the Trinity Killer daughter who ends up killing Frank Lundy who just happens to be Deborah's love interest at the time and quite honestly guys that was definitely a very emotional scene for me I felt so bad for Deborah Lundy did not deserve to be shot and killed right there in the parking lot I mean I definitely did not see that coming it all happened so fast and I just felt horrible for Deborah especially since she doesn't have the best luck with relationships I mean considering she did again date the ice truck killer and Lundy was kind of a more experienced and mature version of a boyfriend that Deborah has been looking for So that obviously hits Deborah pretty hard and I just felt horrible for her but that does not compare to how season 4 ended that hit me pretty hard but before we get into that let me just say this real quick when the Trinity Killer eventually found out Dexter was Kyle CU Dexter makes up a name Kyle to be part of the church and helping with building homes for people in need which I think is a genius cover up because uh we eventually find out that the Trinity Killer likes to bury bodies children which is just terrible so that kind of Blends in with his work So eventually like I was saying at some point later towards the end of season 4 the Trinity Killer does find out Kyle is actually Dexter Morgan he tracks him to Miami Metro and they kind of come face to face at work the trinity killer right there the whole station is looking for him and they just don't realize he's right there in person within inches me as the viewer I was just incredibly nervous for Dexter in Miami Metro in general and Dexter's family because the Trinity Killer kind of goes after people that is targets you know love so it was just all around a very nervous experience for me because I just thought it was a great presentation and Showtime handled it very well which brings us to the end of season 4 this this was a stab in my freaking heart the Trinity Killer makes his way to Dexter and Rita's home kills Rita leaves her for dead in the bathtub blood everywhere in the bathroom and it's kind of a flashback to how Dexter was found in a shipping container after his mother was murdered right in front of him so again overall just an excellent experience on Showtime's part and it actually affected my sleep that night I mean as stupid as that sounds I love a good presentation I love a good show I love good characters and I just had trouble sleeping that night because I couldn't stop thinking about the impact it's going to have on Dexter's family especially considering Dexter and Rita just recently had a baby Harrison so that just got me thinking how is Dexter going to take care of his brand new son Harrison as well as Cody and astred and I was really really interested to see where season five was going to pick up so let's talk about season 5 real quick basically the first half of the season was recovering from Rita's death and it was very emotionally powerful especially the whole funeral thing the viewing and you don't really see Dexter upset that often so it was an interesting place but the most interesting part of season 5 in my opinion was definitely Jordan Chase he was kind of like the main killer of that season and I love the whole presentation thing where he was going from presentation to presentation with his motivational speaker in mind just saying take it I just thought it was an awesome cover up for a he really does behind the scenes which is obviously killing people but obviously Dexter eventually finds out and well takes his life leading into season six I have a lot to talk about with this Dexter does eventually meet someone by the name of Brother Sam which does lead Dexter to have a somewhat religious view on life for pretty much the first time ever which is very interesting because this eventually opens up to meeting two new characters by the names of Travis Marshall and Professor Geller now these two killers are reenacting these brutal murderkill scenes or whatever you want to call it from The Book of Revelation which eventually leads to the final episode of season 6 called this is how the world ends and it's probably one of my favorite episodes of the show as a whole because it leads to the death of Travis Marshall but get this Deborah walks into the church which is where Dexter is you know killing Travis Marshall and Deborah sees Dexter killing Travis Marshall right there on the table so this is the first time ever we've had a major character discover who Dexter really is aside from does in season 2 I don't really consider does a major major character but Deborah I mean Deborah's Dexter's sister it doesn't get any more major than that so that was definitely a really cool Cliffhanger and I couldn't wait to see where season 7 took off from and that's exactly where season 7 picked up from right there at that same moment showing Deborah discovering who Dexter really is which eventually leads to all kinds of drama between Deborah and Dexter because Deborah doesn't exactly agree with Dexter's killing ways which is pretty much common sense I mean if you find out your brother kills someone you know behind the scenes you're going to be upset right yeah but then Dexter takes a lot of time and effort to try to convince Deborah that he only kills people that are worth killing so I mean I really can't argue with Dexter there I mean why do we need murderers in this world in the first place they don't really deserve to live at least in my opinion So eventually Deborah does learn to cope with Dexter and who he really is and that brings us to a new character Hannah McKay who has been accused of poisoning people in the past Deborah hates her she seriously hates Hannah McKay I like her a lot she's very likable and she's cute can't really beat that and Dexter likes her which is my primary reason for for liking her Dexter has finally found someone who understands him as a person and he understands her as a person so they're kind of a matchmade in heaven two killers loving one another what could be better but with that said all of this eventually leads to the very end of season 7 which is probably the most dramatic part of the show thus far and that's Deborah having to choose between shooting Dexter her brother or her coworker laguera and well one thing leads to another extremely emotional scene I loved it it was just it was just very powerful and while Deborah shoots legua she runs over there picks up her body she's just crying her eyes out and season s ends right there now season 8 opens up with Deborah no longer working at Miami Metro she's gone down a dark path she's basically keeping tabs on this new guy who she's trying to bust but she kind of falls in love with him throughout the process she's doing coke she's doing doing drugs she's just not herself and one thing leads to another eventually he gets killed Dexter talks Deborah into becoming normal again through the help of a new character Dr vogle and we eventually find out that Dr vogle kind of created Dexter into the person that he is right now at least in terms of that particular moment in the show so fast forwarding through season 8 cuz a lot of stuff happens obviously Dexter fans out there know exactly what I'm talking about out eventually Deborah is shot by the brain surgeon which really did piss me off why did that guy go in there forget his name but he was basically trailing Deborah because he kind of had some kind of uh weird suspicions about her because of Elway and had McKay and all that stuff it it was just a mess it just really pissed me off how he went in there he unstrapped the brain surgeon without asking him questions first which caused him to be stabbed by the brain surgeon and the Brain surgeon shot Deborah right there and she kind of claps on the ground so at first The Gunshot doesn't look too serious according to the doctor at the hospital but one thing leads to another and some kind of blood clot forms which causes Deborah to have a seizure which they don't show on camera but we learn that from the doctor and basically Deborah is unfunctional she's alive but she is unable to feel to hear here to see to pretty much understand life and Dexter obviously feels responsible for this and he can't see his own sister living like you know the current state she is and he pulls her life support silently killing her making that Dexter's final kill in this series and as far as we're concerned that's his last kill ever I got to say it was an emotional scene I mean I'll talk about this in a minute more in detail but I kind of knew Deborah's death was coming because excuse my language some spoiled it for me a while back on YouTube and from this point forward I am no longer talking about any of the shows that I'm currently watching on Netflix until after I'm done that entire show it's happened in the past it's happened with Dexter I'm done I cannot stand the idea of someone wanting to spoil somebody else's experience it just irks me that much so from this point forward I'm just going to be more careful because I take my shows pretty seriously I'm all about that presentation and I I love just being one with the characters and I just don't want that experience to be spoiled by someone who's not worth my time in other words I blocked him if you spoil a show for me you get blocked yeah I don't really mess around when it comes to that all right so let's talk about the ending for a minute or two or probably like five minutes cuz there's a lot to talk about and I wasn't overall happy with how it ended I personally would have ended it much differently but that's exactly why I'm here so let's discuss that but first let's go through a quick recap Dexter basically takes Deborah's body out of the hospital onto his boat and just sails out into the water not literally sales it's not a sailboat but you get my point he tells Deborah that he loves her he hasn't emotional moment says goodbye tosses her body into the ocean doesn't chop her up thank God obviously he wouldn't chop up his own sister and then they show him purposely taking his boat into hurricane Lara I believe that was about to hit Florida and eventually the news comes out that Dexter is dead at least as far as everyone else is concerned but he's not dead eventually at the very end of the show they fade out then they fade into maybe like a minute or two of Dexter doing some job with giant logs and whatever and he's kind of in this secluded space where he's not talking to anyone and he's kind of making an honest living but he's completely secluded not talking to anybody he's in his own ranky dinky house or whatever he kind of closes his eyes opens his eyes looks at the camera which I'm not a big fan of I hate when characters look at the camera just takes away from the experience and they fade out the show ends so basically Dexter doesn't want himself included in the lives of those he loves So eventually Hannah McKay and his son Harrison do make it to Argentina safely and that's good for them but Dexter doesn't want to bother them he doesn't want to bother his friends at Miami Metro he basically wants to be by himself because through all the drama he's had he's just sucked in so many people and eventually those people were killed because of him Rita is dead because of Dexter Deber is dead because of Dexter does Lera his son Harrison is across the world in freaking Argentina away from his father because of him because of Dexter and that's how it ends I'm not that overall happy with it it could have been worse but it could have been better first of all who doesn't notice Dexter taking a freaking body wrapped in a sheet out of the hospital onto a boat I realize people are distracted by the hurricane but nobody realizes a person taking a dead body out of a freaking hospital that just kind of made me a little mad and second of all did he really have to dump the body in the water that just felt kind of weird to me but then technically maybe he had to do that because he was the the one who physically pulled Deborah's life support So when the doctor eventually came into the room how the hell was he going to explain that it just magically went off so perhaps that was Dexter's best way of getting rid of the body in kind of like a Humane fashion and there's really no other way to do it without getting caught right the whole thing still does make me pretty mad though after all that trouble Deborah dies he avenges Deborah's death by killing the brain surgeon with a pen Quinn a guy at Miami Metro kind of knows what Dexter's up to cuz he sees Dexter killed the brain surgeon on camera along with Batista and as far as the public is concerned the video camera behind him recorded the clip of everything happening and the brain surgeon technically stabs Dexter first with the pen so it technically looks like self-defense when he takes the pen out of his shoulder and stabs the brain surgeon in his neck killing him right there on the spot it still annoys me so much though after all that trouble of avenging Deborah's death and all those people he has killed and trying to be there for his son couldn't he have at least traveled to Argentina to be there for Harrison to be there for Hannah McKay even though Hannah McKay was technically the cause of all this mess that still doesn't take away from the fact that he should have been there for his son Harrison so I just noticed my lighting conditions are going all over the place place the Sun is going in and out of the clouds but with all that said perhaps the best thing to do is for Dexter to disappear because let's face the G On's truth right now guys no Dexter equals no more problems Harrison can grow up to be a normal person without Dexter having to worry about hiding his killing ways and Hannah McKay despite her poisoning ways can live a somewhat normal life so there's that not the best ending in the world if you want my opinion I personally would have wanted Deborah to live I don't think there's any reason for them to kill off Deborah especially at the very last episode I just didn't feel that was right especially considering after everything Deborah has gone through she has a good person at heart and going to pick up so let's talk about season 5 real quick basically the first half of the season was recovering from Rita's death and it was very emotionally powerful especially the whole funeral thing the viewing and you don't really see Dexter upset that often so it was an interesting place but the most interesting part of season 5 in my opinion was definitely Jordan Chase he was kind of like the main killer of that season and I love the whole presentation thing where he was going from presentation to presentation with his motivational speaker in mind just saying take it I just thought it was an awesome cover up for a he really does behind the scenes which is obviously killing people but obviously Dexter eventually finds out and well takes his life leading into season six I have a lot to talk about with this Dexter does eventually meet someone by the name of Brother Sam which does lead Dexter to have a somewhat religious view on life for pretty much the first time ever which is very interesting because this eventually opens up to meeting two new characters by the names of Travis Marshall and Professor Geller now these two killers are reenacting these brutal murderkill scenes or whatever you want to call it from The Book of Revelation which eventually leads to the final episode of season 6 called this is how the world ends and it's probably one of my favorite episodes of the show as a whole because it leads to the death of Travis Marshall but get this Deborah walks into the church which is where Dexter is you know killing Travis Marshall and Deborah sees Dexter killing Travis Marshall right there on the table so this is the first time ever we've had a major character discover who Dexter really is aside from does in season 2 I don't really consider does a major major character but Deborah I mean Deborah's Dexter's sister it doesn't get any more major than that so that was definitely a really cool Cliffhanger and I couldn't wait to see where season 7 took off from and that's exactly where season 7 picked up from right there at that same moment showing Deborah discovering who Dexter really is which eventually leads to all kinds of drama between Deborah and Dexter because Deborah doesn't exactly agree with Dexter's killing ways which is pretty much common sense I mean if you find out your brother kills someone you know behind the scenes you're going to be upset right yeah but then Dexter takes a lot of time and effort to try to convince Deborah that he only kills people that are worth killing so I mean I really can't argue with Dexter there I mean why do we need murderers in this world in the first place they don't really deserve to live at least in my opinion So eventually Deborah does learn to cope with Dexter and who he really is and that brings us to a new character Hannah McKay who has been accused of poisoning people in the past Deborah hates her she seriously hates Hannah McKay I like her a lot she's very likable and she's cute can't really beat that and Dexter likes her which is my primary reason for for liking her Dexter has finally found someone who understands him as a person and he understands her as a person so they're kind of a matchmade in heaven two killers loving one another what could be better but with that said all of this eventually leads to the very end of season 7 which is probably the most dramatic part of the show thus far and that's Deborah having to choose between shooting Dexter her brother or her coworker laguera and well one thing leads to another extremely emotional scene I loved it it was just it was just very powerful and while Deborah shoots legua she runs over there picks up her body she's just crying her eyes out and season s ends right there now season 8 opens up with Deborah no longer working at Miami Metro she's gone down a dark path she's basically keeping tabs on this new guy who she's trying to bust but she kind of falls in love with him throughout the process she's doing coke she's doing doing drugs she's just not herself and one thing leads to another eventually he gets killed Dexter talks Deborah into becoming normal again through the help of a new character Dr vogle and we eventually find out that Dr vogle kind of created Dexter into the person that he is right now at least in terms of that particular moment in the show so fast forwarding through season 8 cuz a lot of stuff happens obviously Dexter fans out there know exactly what I'm talking about out eventually Deborah is shot by the brain surgeon which really did piss me off why did that guy go in there forget his name but he was basically trailing Deborah because he kind of had some kind of uh weird suspicions about her because of Elway and had McKay and all that stuff it it was just a mess it just really pissed me off how he went in there he unstrapped the brain surgeon without asking him questions first which caused him to be stabbed by the brain surgeon and the Brain surgeon shot Deborah right there and she kind of claps on the ground so at first The Gunshot doesn't look too serious according to the doctor at the hospital but one thing leads to another and some kind of blood clot forms which causes Deborah to have a seizure which they don't show on camera but we learn that from the doctor and basically Deborah is unfunctional she's alive but she is unable to feel to hear here to see to pretty much understand life and Dexter obviously feels responsible for this and he can't see his own sister living like you know the current state she is and he pulls her life support silently killing her making that Dexter's final kill in this series and as far as we're concerned that's his last kill ever I got to say it was an emotional scene I mean I'll talk about this in a minute more in detail but I kind of knew Deborah's death was coming because excuse my language some spoiled it for me a while back on YouTube and from this point forward I am no longer talking about any of the shows that I'm currently watching on Netflix until after I'm done that entire show it's happened in the past it's happened with Dexter I'm done I cannot stand the idea of someone wanting to spoil somebody else's experience it just irks me that much so from this point forward I'm just going to be more careful because I take my shows pretty seriously I'm all about that presentation and I I love just being one with the characters and I just don't want that experience to be spoiled by someone who's not worth my time in other words I blocked him if you spoil a show for me you get blocked yeah I don't really mess around when it comes to that all right so let's talk about the ending for a minute or two or probably like five minutes cuz there's a lot to talk about and I wasn't overall happy with how it ended I personally would have ended it much differently but that's exactly why I'm here so let's discuss that but first let's go through a quick recap Dexter basically takes Deborah's body out of the hospital onto his boat and just sails out into the water not literally sales it's not a sailboat but you get my point he tells Deborah that he loves her he hasn't emotional moment says goodbye tosses her body into the ocean doesn't chop her up thank God obviously he wouldn't chop up his own sister and then they show him purposely taking his boat into hurricane Lara I believe that was about to hit Florida and eventually the news comes out that Dexter is dead at least as far as everyone else is concerned but he's not dead eventually at the very end of the show they fade out then they fade into maybe like a minute or two of Dexter doing some job with giant logs and whatever and he's kind of in this secluded space where he's not talking to anyone and he's kind of making an honest living but he's completely secluded not talking to anybody he's in his own ranky dinky house or whatever he kind of closes his eyes opens his eyes looks at the camera which I'm not a big fan of I hate when characters look at the camera just takes away from the experience and they fade out the show ends so basically Dexter doesn't want himself included in the lives of those he loves So eventually Hannah McKay and his son Harrison do make it to Argentina safely and that's good for them but Dexter doesn't want to bother them he doesn't want to bother his friends at Miami Metro he basically wants to be by himself because through all the drama he's had he's just sucked in so many people and eventually those people were killed because of him Rita is dead because of Dexter Deber is dead because of Dexter does Lera his son Harrison is across the world in freaking Argentina away from his father because of him because of Dexter and that's how it ends I'm not that overall happy with it it could have been worse but it could have been better first of all who doesn't notice Dexter taking a freaking body wrapped in a sheet out of the hospital onto a boat I realize people are distracted by the hurricane but nobody realizes a person taking a dead body out of a freaking hospital that just kind of made me a little mad and second of all did he really have to dump the body in the water that just felt kind of weird to me but then technically maybe he had to do that because he was the the one who physically pulled Deborah's life support So when the doctor eventually came into the room how the hell was he going to explain that it just magically went off so perhaps that was Dexter's best way of getting rid of the body in kind of like a Humane fashion and there's really no other way to do it without getting caught right the whole thing still does make me pretty mad though after all that trouble Deborah dies he avenges Deborah's death by killing the brain surgeon with a pen Quinn a guy at Miami Metro kind of knows what Dexter's up to cuz he sees Dexter killed the brain surgeon on camera along with Batista and as far as the public is concerned the video camera behind him recorded the clip of everything happening and the brain surgeon technically stabs Dexter first with the pen so it technically looks like self-defense when he takes the pen out of his shoulder and stabs the brain surgeon in his neck killing him right there on the spot it still annoys me so much though after all that trouble of avenging Deborah's death and all those people he has killed and trying to be there for his son couldn't he have at least traveled to Argentina to be there for Harrison to be there for Hannah McKay even though Hannah McKay was technically the cause of all this mess that still doesn't take away from the fact that he should have been there for his son Harrison so I just noticed my lighting conditions are going all over the place place the Sun is going in and out of the clouds but with all that said perhaps the best thing to do is for Dexter to disappear because let's face the G On's truth right now guys no Dexter equals no more problems Harrison can grow up to be a normal person without Dexter having to worry about hiding his killing ways and Hannah McKay despite her poisoning ways can live a somewhat normal life so there's that not the best ending in the world if you want my opinion I personally would have wanted Deborah to live I don't think there's any reason for them to kill off Deborah especially at the very last episode I just didn't feel that was right especially considering after everything Deborah has gone through she has a good person at heart and she was just mixed up with the wrong people at the wrong places at the wrong time so I would have been perfectly fine with Dexter going to Argentina with Hannah McKay and his son Harrison why couldn't they have just done that I feel like show Tai may have tried too hard at the very end and they said oh wait we have one more episode to fill we're going to have a couple people killed off we're going to have dexstar seclude himself completely from the world completely from those he loves and that just feels like the best thing to do right not in my opinion but guys you know what I will say this right now I obviously don't write TV shows for a living but series finales they're never easy you will never ever please everyone with series finales they're not easy to pull off whatsoever especially with a show as large as Dexter just like shows like lost that series finale pissed a lot of people off I personally loved it I mean it did it did feel a little easy but I was fine with it because it came down to the presentation and the characters how they were involved how the characters interacted with one another towards the very end and that felt right to me but with Dexter it felt unnecessary to kill off Deborah just to do it and it felt wrong to separate Dexter and Harrison despite all the trouble they've been through yeah like I said perhaps no Dexter equals no more problems but I guess that's something we'll never find out it just really sucks when a TV show you love kind of ends badly but what can you do now with all this said in today's video I still do love Dexter I'm not going to let a disappointing ending ruined the whole show for me because it quite honestly is one of the best shows I've ever consumed I loved Dexter as a whole I love the characters especially Deborah she was just so funny and Muka I love all of the sexual jokes especially that one episode where he found the two guys wrapped in plastic with the slow motion gestures he was doing it was just hilarious the characters as a whole were just extremely likable and the writers did a great job despite the somewhat weird ending because at the end of the day Dexter really is a hero of mine he is weeding out the worthless of the world and you know me I'm a big believer in that I like concentrating on the positive people and those who make a difference in this world so Dexter is essentially killing the haters and you know what I'm okay with that which is why I soon plan to have a picture of Dexter hanging up in my living room cuz I want to see his face every day and be reminded of what he's done throughout the whole show despite innocent people dying you know Deborah laguera and all those people I still think his intentions were good obviously they didn't pan out the way he expected him to but you know what that's life and Dexter is a show I will never ever forget I just wish I wasn't spoiled by a couple out there and I'm sorry again for the language but that's how strongly I feel against spoilers but like I said earlier this is the last time I will ever announce that I'm currently watching a show show in my future YouTube videos at least until after I'm finished said show cuz I just can't risk it anymore but for those who were here with me along the ride thank you so much your genuine support is much appreciated guys I really hope you enjoyed this video it wasn't my usual style and I'm sure this video is going to be at least like 15 minutes I went longer than I expected but I really did love the show that much and I wanted to express my thoughts and this is a video that I will look back on for years to come so again thank you so much your support is amazing and I will see you in tomorrow's video which is hopefully a vlog if all goes according to plan peace\n"
