A New Chapter: Our Exciting Announcement and Journey to Full-Time YouTube Creators
We just wanna fly put your arms around me baby put your arms around me baby. Guys, we're gonna be doing something a little bit different today because we want to share an exciting announcement with you guys. We've gone full time! So first off, thank you guys very much because you guys made this possible. This has been something that's been going on behind the scenes ever since we started making videos.
You know, we both had full-time jobs as an engineer and a graphic designer. We've been slowly working towards going full-time through like part-time to consulting and it's just been a very gradual thing. There hasn't been like a moment yeah there wasn't like a day where we both quit our jobs at the same time. It was like, gradual over a year. I mean, there were leaps of faith but it was like we were really sure about that leap before we made it because we're practical people.
I'm a very practical person! I'm just like wooo let's do this thing! I think it just got to a point where not quitting our normal jobs was scarier than quitting and just seeing if we could do this. You know, yeah, if you've been watching for a long time from the beginning, we were doing smaller projects, we were putting out videos a little bit less, doing it all in like nights and weekends. Yeah, that was a lot, and as we've been transitioning to doing this full-time, we have been trying to put out more videos and tackling larger projects like our laundry room like a you know guest room renovation like a ridiculously crazy table and stuff I don't know, ridiculously crazy table.
The resin geode is ridiculously crazy. We want to go find the third member of our team before we continue this cuz she's a very important part of this process too. I knew she'd be in here enjoying the new Murphy bed her new Murphy bed. Alright, so I think one thing that oh no don't leave, don't leave, so I think one thing we've covered on a few podcasts but we haven't really talked about on our channel is how this whole thing started. Gonna be launching the YouTube are you excited? I'm excited it's like Christmas Jobie are you excited?
Oh, I thought we were uploading at 11 o'clock oh yeah shoot one hour go go godon't do that! What are you working on? imgurl, Instagram... So the day has gone by very fast. We're doing a lot. It's just taking a lot longer than we thought so we're having a snack we can't do anything right we have no time!
10:22 hi welcome to our channel so action I mean I don't know what you guys are expecting but, yeah, we've been making videos for a while now and this is it. We went full-time before we were at 100k subscribers which I think is earlier than we expected to be able to do it honestly and you know we could do a whole video just like tactics and strategies and tips we've learned along the way about going full-time and how to make this a job so if you want to know more about that stuff let us know.
Let us know questions you have, yeah, and if you have any other topics you might want us to tackle this might be a good place to kind of leave that in the comments and also scroll through all the comments vote the ones that you think would make for a good video yeah the ones that like you guys want to hear the most get to the top vote with your thumbs. Also, just thank you guys so much it sounds cliche but like we wouldn't be able to do this without your support and you support us in so many ways watching this video leaving comments supporting us on Patreon you know supporting our sponsors sharing has helped us grow and we really really appreciate it.
We love you guys and we're just excited to see what comes next. See you next week, bye!
The Journey to Full-Time YouTube Creators
As we embark on this new chapter, I want to take a moment to reflect on how far we've come. We've been making videos for a while now, but going full-time wasn't always the plan. In fact, it's taken us quite some time to get here.
We started out with small projects and gradually built up our content. We would often put out videos in the evenings or weekends, trying to balance our creative endeavors with our full-time jobs. As we gained more confidence and a sense of purpose, we began to see the potential for making a career out of creating content.
Our journey wasn't without its challenges, however. There were times when we doubted ourselves, wondering if we had what it took to make it in the YouTube world. But with each passing day, our determination grew stronger. We knew that if we stuck together and supported each other, we could achieve anything we set our minds to.
One of the most significant turning points came when we realized that we wanted more than just a hobby – we wanted a career. We began to explore ways to monetize our content, working with sponsors, and using platforms like Patreon to connect with our audience. It was a steep learning curve, but one that ultimately led us to where we are today.
As I look around at the team, I'm filled with gratitude for the support we've received along the way. From our wonderful community of viewers to our amazing team members, every single person has played a role in helping us achieve this goal. We couldn't have done it without you!
Our next step is to continue creating high-quality content that resonates with our audience. We're excited to explore new types of making and video formats, pushing the boundaries of what we thought was possible. And, of course, we want to grow our channel in the future – more videos, more engagement, more love!
To all those out there who dream of making a career from their passion, I want you to know that it's not impossible. It takes hard work, dedication, and a willingness to learn and adapt. But with persistence and determination, you can achieve anything you set your mind to.
So, what's next for us? Well, we're excited to share more about our journey, tactics, and strategies for making a career from YouTube. Stay tuned for upcoming videos that will dive deeper into the world of full-time content creation. And if you have any topics or questions you'd like us to tackle, please leave them in the comments below!
