As I sat in my car, listening to the soothing sounds of nature, I decided to do a bird impression for you, foreigner. A pair of great tits flew overhead, and I couldn't help but feel a sense of joy and wonder at the beauty of nature. We were about to engage in a thrilling car racing competition, with a twist - Richard would be driving his electric car against me, Matt, in my natural aspiration Ford powertrain car. We took off, and I was determined to give Richard a run for his money. However, things didn't quite go as planned, and I struggled to get the car off the line. Despite my best efforts, Richard's instant torque from his electric motor gave him an early lead.

The two of us were neck and neck, with the finish line ahead of us, but then disaster struck. As we entered the quarter-mile mark, I found myself bogged down by the car's weight, and I struggled to keep up with Richard's pace. He crossed the finish line first, winning the initial drag race.

However, our battle wasn't over yet. We decided to engage in a rolling quarter-mile drag from 50 miles per hour, where Richard would be driving his electric car without a gearbox, while I was stuck in automatic mode for my car's gearbox. The gun went off, and we took off, with Richard pulling away from me at an alarming rate.

But I wasn't one to give up easily. After the initial drag race, I decided to launch myself into a new quarter-mile drag from 50 miles per hour, this time in manual mode for my car's gearbox. I shifted gears with precision and skill, determined to catch up to Richard. And although it was a close call, I found myself gaining on him.

Despite my valiant efforts, Richard managed to stay ahead of me once again. However, I couldn't help but feel a sense of admiration for his electric car's performance. The throttle response was indeed epic, and the instant torque from its motor gave it an unparalleled advantage.

As we continued our battle, I noticed that Richard had upgraded his brakes with big brakes on top of his existing setup, which also included ABS. However, this proved to be a double-edged sword, as his car's braking system struggled to keep up with my Ford's performance.

The final showdown took place at 100 miles per hour, where Richard would attempt to stop the car using only his upgraded brakes without ABS. The result was a heart-stopping moment, as Richard's car came to an abrupt halt, while I managed to bring mine in relatively smoothly. Despite my best efforts, Richard still emerged victorious.

As we wrapped up our thrilling competition, I couldn't help but express my gratitude to Clive for lending us his car and to Richard for letting us use his electric vehicle. though has been worked on by Clive Sutton and it now has 490 horsepower talks the same as a standard car though it has 530 newton meters so basically Clive certain is an American Car Imports and he does some tuning as well you can check out the link to his website in the description and essentially what they've done to this car it's an ECU remap cold air intake and a new exhaust to get that extra power other than that yeah it's just business as usual apart from a few styling tweaks here and there now this car costs fifty thousand pounds for the standard Ford Mustang V8 GT and the upgrades cost 3 600 pounds as for the weight this thing tips the scales at 1 740 kilos now let's find out about that rather odd Batmobile from its creator Richard Morgan from Electric classic cars so Richard tell me about that thing you have built yeah I brought a BMW CSL Recreation today when you say Recreation what exactly do you mean because it's not quite a CSL in more ways than one right not to put too fine a point on it you're uh hit the nail on the head there this is not a real BMW CSL to all the BMW Fanboys out there screaming sacrilege at the screen the uh the sunroof should give it away this is a BMW CSI that we've recreated as a homage to the BMW Batmobile race car in the 70s but there's even more to it than that something bigger what is it I mean why are you here I mean electric classic cars we know what's going to happen but you explain it God to give the Hamas some uh due credit because it originally had a three liter straight six engine in it which is a fantastic engine but to do it some justice we've gone full Tesla power in this one so we've got a Tesla large Drive Unit in the rear knocking around about 450 horsepower and 400 newton meters of torque and a full 85 kilowatt hour battery pack at a Tesla Model S in it so I have more power and torque than you but I also have more weight how much does your car weigh it's around about 1500 1550 kilos good 200 kilo life that'd be interesting and obviously it should launch while being electric because they've got Instant Power price though that's not going to be cheap with all the work you've done it right no it's not a cheap car so around about 200k this car but on the launch side of things you've got to bear in mind we've had to dial down the power and torque quite a bit on this car because we can only fit a certain width of Tire under the rear arches so although those figures are quite impressive we probably dialed it back to something closer to around about 300 maybe 350 horsepower so while this car don't sign has been tuned up yours has been tuned down yep and that's the way it is with electric right you start with too much power and then you dial it down a bit I'll tell you what you never get though this even though there's a soft limiter I'll still take that okay Richard see because your car doesn't make a noise you have to make a noise so choose your noise and make it now for
