**A Closer Look at a $155,000 Depreciated Luxury Car**
As we take a closer look at this $155,000 depreciated luxury car, it's hard not to notice that it looks like it's been through its fair share of wear and tear. The condition is beat up, with scratches and dings all over the exterior, giving it a rough-around-the-edges appearance that's quite different from the pristine vehicles you often see for sale at this price point. However, as we delve deeper into the car's features and performance, we'll explore what makes this vehicle stand out - or not so much.
**A Brief History of the BMW 6 Series**
The BMW 6 Series was originally introduced in the 1970s as a flagship Grand Tourer meant to outclass every other BMW model. The car we have right here is a third-generation Grand Coupe, which provides a great look at what these kinds of cars can do. With its sleek design and powerful engine, it's no wonder why this vehicle was always considered one of the top-tier models in BMW's lineup.
**A Closer Look Inside**
As we take a closer look inside the car, we notice that the interior is not as bad off as the exterior might suggest. While there are certainly some signs of wear and tear, the overall condition is still quite passable. With a bit of TLC, this interior could be restored to its former glory - but for now, it's a reminder that these cars can take a beating without losing their charm.
**The Engine: A Good But Flawed Performance**
Under the hood, we find a 450 horsepower BMW engine with twin turbo V8 technology. While this is certainly not the most powerful engine in the BMW lineup, it still provides plenty of passing power and is well-suited for cruising at higher speeds. However, as we've seen before, even the best engines can have their flaws - and the n63 engine is no exception.
**Common Issues with the N63 Engine**
One of the downsides to owning a car like this is dealing with common issues like leaky valve stems that need constant maintenance. If you're willing to put in the work, however, the engine can be made to perform like new - but it's not exactly the most reliable or easy-to-maintain system.
**Driving Impressions**
As we take the car out for a spin, we notice that it's more suited for cruising at high speeds than actually having any real excitement. The acceleration is smooth and comfortable, but there's nothing particularly exhilarating about it - unless you're driving on the highway, where it can handle cutting across multiple lanes without any issues.
**Conclusion**
As a car guy, I have to admit that this BMW 6 Series isn't exactly my cup of tea. While it's certainly an interesting vehicle with its unique blend of style and performance, there are just too many drawbacks to make it worth the investment. Whether you're looking for a fun and exciting driving experience or simply want a reliable ride for cruising around town, there are plenty of other options out there that might suit your needs better.
**Zoomies**
As we wrap up this article, I'd like to take a moment to give a shoutout to my friends at Zoomies - the new shopping store in town that's been making waves with their cool hats and statement pieces. If you're looking for some fresh gear to add to your wardrobe, be sure to check them out and show 'em that Zoomies fan - because we're always rocking fresh style from head to toe.
WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enthis 450 horsepower BMW might be the best deal in the world but you probably shouldn't buy one in fact there are a lot of high-end used cars just like this one that are incredibly cheap and amazing on paper and today Zach and I are going to decide if they're really worth that low price or if they're Financial nightmares starting with the Maserati Grand tesmo this thing rules yeah it's pretty good looking these cars have such a bad reputation that we haven't even looked into them yeah like at all let's talk about what makes this car theoretically sick the Grand Turismo is Maserati's Grand Touring Coupe good looking it's luxurious despite being a big heavy boy it can still do 0 to 60 in 5 seconds it also set the record for the fastest development of any car ever most cars take like s years from concept to product they did this one in 9 months that's faster than a human baby yeah that's too quick that is way too quick especially for an expensive like you know Flagship Car like this this thing cost 150 Grand and we really really rushed it out the door the first generation ran from 2007 to 2019 justed for inflation is over $160,000 in today's money today you can pick one up for less than $25,000 it's one of the most appreciated modern cars yeah it just feels like you're getting so much for so little like this was such an expensive car with all the bells and whistles and then you can get it for so cheap I think it's pretty obvious why you shouldn't buy this car these V8s are known for eating coils and spark plugs faster than noling at a Golden Corral but the biggest issue involves the automated manual transmission according to this Reddit post if you want to own one and keep it nice plan for at least $5,000 a year the clutch will definitely go bad at some point and you will be looking at a bill anywhere from a few th000 to $10,000 so Zach you think this is a dream car or a horrible nightmare I think if these had a reputation for being super reliable it'd be a dream car but the amount of Maintenance you got to do and how much money it's going to take I think it's a noo I would say it's a horrible nightmare a very tempting nightmare just like it you know that hot clown let's see if this next car changes our mind D3 Audi S8 it's a great car they're super comfy the interior was nice at the time I really like these this is a car of a very specific kind of gangster so the S8 is the performance version of Audi's fullsize luxury sedon compared to the A8 the S8 has upgraded styling upgraded suspension upgraded brakes upgraded lights and most importantly a 5.2 L V10 that V10 delivers 450 freaking Herz pers in a car car that looks like this and originally cost $140,000 in today's money but now you can find them for as cheap is $115,000 I love it yeah I mean I'm I'm in you're not going to be able to talk me out of it this is like the car of the yuza so there are a few reasons why this car might not be the best financial decision V10 gets about 10 m per gallon one per cylinder not bad yeah dude requires 10 quarts of full synthetic oil one per cylinder it's a very metric car brakes burn up faster due to the huge size of the car and there are 802 sensors which are known to go out sooner they couldn't put 102 sensors yeah come on guys but if you look past all that stuff maybe it's not so bad I agree it's not so bad I'm in sold yeah this thing rolls this is the 2024 Frontier Pro 4X from today's sponsor Nissan it's a midsize truck that's equipped for fullsize fun a lot of modern day trucks have ditched their rugged Persona in favor of valet parking over muddy Trails however this Frontier Pro 4X stays true to its core truck identity placing practicality over extravagance the pro 4X is Trail ready right off the lot it's got billstein shocks 17-in Wheels allterrain tires a skid plate and an electronic locking rear differential under the hood is a 310 horsepower V6 and a 9-speed automatic transmission and that's standard there's no base model there's no upgrade every 2024 model comes with this drivetrain pair all those things with driver selectable four-wheel drive and Hill descent control you'll be tackling trails in no time but Nissan's midsize truck isn't just Trail Ready on the Outside Inside the pro 4X has off-road gauges displaying roll pitch and key functions like differential lock status shift in the four low and watch the off-road intelligent around view monitor activate giving you a clear view of the trail to navigate tough obstacles and because it's a Nissan you'll be getting the latest in Tech safety like a fender premium audio system Nissan connect with apple carplay compatibility and all the available features of Nissan safety Shield 360 so who's the 2024 Frontier Pro 4x4 it's for someone who wants something more than a weekend warrior who wants to take on tough Trails without losing Comfort or modern technology it's a real truck that just lets you truck if Audi aren't your thing this next car is just as German Mercedes C63 AMG specifically the w24 model which was produced from 2008 to 2015 these left the factory with a hand assembl 6.2 L V8 which is known as one of the best sounding V8s ever and it also spits out 450 Herz which we can both agree is plenty this car would have been $85,000 new now these are getable for as low as $115,000 I think like in General with all of these cars the you're buying the previous owners and these kind of cars are cars where there's a big difference between the cheapest one and one that costs like you know 25 or 30,000 bucks so what are the cons usual old German car things maintenance costs are higher than what you'd spend on a normal car but we don't want to drive normal Cars one semi alarming thing to be concerned about with these engines is a headbolt issue the issue is that the head bolt brakes oil and coolant mix together and the engine uh euthanizes itself that's a nice way to say that yeah someone on Reddit said the dealership quoted them $57,000 what you could buy three of them that there's a preventative repair that can be done to avoid catastrophic failure the best way to to skirt the big price tag of fixing the stuff is to find one that's already got it fixed so a lot of these cars have one thing that went wrong with them but there's like an easy usually hard to do fix I think this is a good car for somebody it's not for me yeah I don't know that I would buy it but for the right person it is a decent buy this next vehicle is the cheapest one we're looking at today the 2003 to 2009 Land Rover Range Rover I love these these yeah this is like what rich people drive MSRP adjusted for inflation $120,000 dude current price on on Greg's list $4,000 let's talk about the pr off-road capable luxury SUV spacious interior great visibility and something called terrain response off-road traction control which I'm told is quite good who told me that Jeremy Clarkson he went on record as saying that the Range Rover is the best car in the world and the best 4x4 yeah this has been on my list for a long time I've come very close to buying these in the past but you know you got to pay to play and if you want a car that looks cool that you can afford you might have to fix some stuff these suffer from quote annoying electrical issues the air suspension systems are expensive to replace also the early model years have a BMW sourced engine that is known for leaking and having timing chain issues so in spite of the flaws what's our verdict buy prepare to fix some stuff uh but buy it yeah beautiful dream beautiful British dream all right this next car is somehow even britisher the 2014 to 2023 Jaguar ftype now if you know anything about these you don't need me to tell you that they're sleek and compact two seater grand Tours built on a shortened version of the XK platform with either a supercharged V6 or a Supercharged V8 the V6 makes up to 380 horsepower v8 makes makes up to 550 ad justed for the inflation these retailed for around $86,000 for the V6 are $122,000 for the V8 today you can find them closer to 25 Grand and even less if you're okay with the convertible model I'm surpris these uh have depreciated so much I think yeah these rule yeah I see them pretty often classic styling that's never going to look dated that's right but there are some negatives coolant leaks supercharger rattles differential leaks assorted engine oil leak that all sounds pretty normal but the V8s also suffer from tongy chain issues plus random water pump or coolant hose failure hey that doesn't sound too bad yeah dude coolant hoses are you kidding me regular service stuff have you seen what we drive this is thing rules I'm getting one it's a really good car it's not the cheapest thing on this list obviously but it is maybe the newest and it's good looking they're quick I can see this being a cool car to get into I think we got to change the name of this video thck Cars you should get now for the single most expensive car on this list oh baby keep the street going B Continental GT bye bye bye yes this thing rules you want to trick people into thinking that you have an expensive brand new Bentley head over to my friend Craigslist where you can find a first gen Continental for $25,000 a salvage title might be worth it when you consider the 6 L twin turbo W12 under the Bonnet this is a remarkable engine these are built to eat up miles and have an amazing ride quality they're smooth the interior is dead silent and the materials are Exquisite all these features do come in a cost though the W2 engine is complex that means when stuff needs to get fixed a lot of other stuff needs to get moved out of the way parts are not cheap and neither is labor the good news is that w12s don't really have any major issues as long as you buy one with good service history all you need to worry about are vacuum leaks electrical Gremlins Cooling and oil leaks air conditioning issues probably not the most wise investment but none of this is we're doing car stuff if you had one of these I would think you're cool what could possibly be cloudier than a Bentley let me introduce what is possibly the ultimate form of highend Transportation now that's interesting let's this is a 2005 Hummer H2 limousine it's 200 in long I assume this vehicle was very expensive at one point in time but now prom season is just around the corner can you imagine daily Drive no what else could you do with it though you'd have like a mobile gym you have a mobile Workshop in there oh yeah you could it's long enough you could probably get a little like a lap pool uh this is a funny thing I wouldn't buy one I would only buy this if you're hilarious what if you got 20 kids oh yeah dude if your church van was this that'd be a cool church that would be a cool I go to cool Church our van is an H2 limo all right so this brings us to our final car on the list and we're not just going to talk about it this right here is a BMW 650i X Drive in $ 2024 you'd pay well over 100 grand for one of these new but you can find them used for around $155,000 so let's see what a $155,000 $450 horsepower BMW looks like kind looks beat up yeah it looks kind of beat up the problem is this is like the condition that a lot of these depreciated luxury cars end up in a pristine one would be twice as much as one in the shap the six series was originally introduced in the 1970s as a flagship Grand Tour meant to out rule every other BMW model the car we have right here is a third generation 6 series Grand Coupe yeah if one of my friends showed me this and they were like hey I just bought this be like you should have talked to me first MH I mean the interior is not a bad place to be again it's another car that like I don't know if I want to be a guy who drives one of these I think these blend in well enough for better or worse that you'd kind of go unnoticed but I also think it's interesting this is a pretty good look at the type of example of these kind of cars that you're going to get let's see how it drives though it's a fact when you're in a car most people spend the majority of the time driving it this has the n63 in it twin turbo V8 it's a good Engine with some flaws I think they have like notoriously leaky valve stems if you keep them fixed up yeah you can put a tune on them do a few mods and make a bunch of power was that exhilarating I wouldn't call it particularly exhilarating I mean it goes it gets going or it's got passing power but it's not going to rock your socks off the line or anything like that this car is perfect for going 110 mph on the freeway and like cutting across four lanes and like not using any turn signals not using any turn signals tailgating you this car is like a lot of what the BMW memes are about probably happened in this car so there's some wear and tear that I think is indicative of a car at this price point everywhere you touch the car is pretty warm overall the interior is in passible shape yeah some stuff that you could fix and replace if you you know were looking to get into one of these really cheap and wanted to bring it back up to its former glory it smells pretty bad in here it smells really bad in here and that is tough to fit until you get a smell stuck in something these cars uh do have a lot of negatives n63 engine is a Fickle Beast common issues include wreck spark plugs various leaks water pump failures stretched timing chains overheating issues and more yeah I mean if you forget what it looks like and how beat up it is and how it smells and all the maintenance you're going to have to do it's a fine car not like blisteringly fast though no certainly I mean what does this thing weigh 5,000 pound yeah and this car was really never meant to be that fast right if you want the fast one you'd get the m6 but this is just the Grand Touring family car and it does all that pretty well but not going to be the most riveting purchase as a car guy it's just a car honestly this is my least favorite car on the list this is the only one I wouldn't even consider pretty funny like all of the other ones I would at least get at like oh that would be hilarious if I got that this car is not even funny yeah um so like if you're going to be bad at least be funny yeah hi it's me Justin and I'm here at the L serito Center in citos California to show you what's new at Zoomies and step right in Zoomies cool hats te jacket R Donuts gear
