Bittersweet Review

Let's Talk About "Bittersweet" by Sarah Offler: A Review

This book was amazing. I was not bored, not once, while reading this. I felt like the author did a great job, keeping the plot very good, with high moments and low moments that were much like a roller coaster sometimes. Um, i loved hudson as the character. I thought she was a very fierce, strong girl, and I liked that about this book. Sometimes i feel like the best friends in books are just kind of there to be there. You know they're always the "corky" best friend who's always there to listen and confide with you. It's just about the main girl, but i like that this book kind of went into her best friend as well. Sarah offler has done that very well in 20 Boys Summer, like she has a good writing style when it comes to best friends. Sometimes you see those movies or books where there's always that friend who's just listening to you and confiding with you, but we never hear about their problems. It's just about the girl. So i liked seeing how her best friend felt about everything and how she coped with it.

I also love the romance in this book. It was very swoon-worthy, and it was beautiful. I want to say i forgot the guy's name, but um, we don't need to know that because it didn't matter who he was anyway. Hudson is an extreme cupcake baker, and every chapter is introduced with a different type of cupcake. I love that this book had unique things about it. They have unique names for the cupcakes like no one wants to kiss a girl who smells like bacon, so i might as well get fat cupcakes. Double chocolate cupcakes serve warm in a butter sugar reduction plate with icing braids of peanut butter cream cheese and fudge, and sprinkle with chocolate chips. I adore that. I thought that was so cute and was one of my favorite parts of the book because i love unique things about books. I just thought that made it beautiful. I love baking, i love watching baking, and i love reading about baking, so why not have a cupcake aspect to this book? It made it special.

Hudson is very strong-willed girl. You know she can get her feelings hurt easily but she doesn't like to show it. She's been burned on the dream before, which is what they mean when they say she's hiding in her diner. She's just baking cupcakes and trying to stay with her brother and go to school, but then she finds this opportunity that will help her maybe get out of this town. It's one of those small towns in the usa where no one seems to be able to get out of it. Overall, i give this book 5 out of 5 stars. This book blew me away, and I loved every bit of this book. If you voted for this book and want to know what i thought of it, and you're wondering if you should read it or not, this is a definitely definitely definitely read. I would say read this as soon as you can that type of book. And if you're not a big contemporary friend, maybe not read it, but i love contemporary reads, i love sweet greeds, i love girly reads, and i love that and i can fly through them like that. So just knock out a day reading this book. It doesn't take long at all, but um once again, sarah offler has amazed me. It's amazing, definitely read it, it's definitely worth your time. Go check out bittersweet by sarah ochler and look for the next book review, it should be coming up in the next week or so.

As i was reading this book, i just wanted to say goodbye to everyone, because um, that's what you do when you're reading a good book, right? You just want to let people know how much they loved it. Anyway, bye guys,\\n

radar by making cupcakes at her mom's done or obsessing over what might have been so when things start looking up and she has another shot at her dreams hudson is equal parts hopeful and terrified of course there's also the moment a sweet cute guy walk into her life and start serving up some seriously mixed signals she's got a lot on her plate and for a girl who's been burned before risking it all is easier said than done it's time for hudson to ask herself what she really wants and how much she's willing to sacrifice to get it because in a place where opportunities are fleeting she knows this chance would be may very well be her last so yeah um let's get to it um the characters let's talk about the let's talk let's talk about the plot first um this book was amazing i was not bored not once
