How To Make a POPCORN BOX CAKE for OSCAR NIGHT! Vanilla & Chocolate Cake with Gold Caramel Popcorn!

**The Creation of a Hollywood Glamorous Cake: A Step-by-Step Guide**

As we delve into the world of cake design, we find ourselves in the hands of a talented artist who is about to create a show-stopping cake for the Oscars. The cake is designed to resemble a popcorn box, complete with intricate details and a stunning black and gold design. Our guide takes us through every step of the process, from creating the dress on her body to adding the final touches.

To begin, the artist starts by covering each panel of the fondant dress for the popcorn box with a layer of sugar paste. This is done to create a smooth surface that will hold the intricate details and design elements in place. As she works, she mentions that she's "literally just sewing her into it," emphasizing the level of detail and precision required to create this intricate cake.

Next, the artist focuses on creating the dress itself. She explains that she wants the look of the dress to have a bit of sheen, and to achieve this, she dilutes some black gel food coloring with a little bit of white rum. This mixture is then painted onto all sides of the cake in one motion, creating a uniform and sleek design.

The artist also discusses the importance of getting into character for the shoot. She mentions that she's "not going for just black," but rather a deeper, richer shade that will add depth to the overall design. This attention to detail is evident throughout the entire process, as our guide takes the time to explain every step and technique used.

With the dress complete, the artist turns her attention to adding patterns to the cake. She reveals that 2016 is the year of patterns, citing "stripes and stars" as inspiration for this particular design. To create these patterns, she uses a combination of fondant and gum paste, carefully cutting out intricate designs and applying them to the cake.

One of the most striking elements of the cake is the scalloped pattern at the top, which is achieved using a sharp knife or X-acto blade. The artist takes great care to ensure that every edge and corner is perfectly trimmed, creating a seamless and polished finish.

As we near the end of our journey with this talented baker, she reveals that she's also created a label for the cake, complete with the words "cake corn" in elegant gold lettering. This final touch adds an extra layer of whimsy and fun to the design, tying in perfectly with the popcorn box theme.

Finally, we arrive at the finishing touches, where our guide adds a sprinkle of caramel corn on top of the cake to give it a curly, wavy appearance. She also tops the dress off with a sprig of gold luster, adding an extra touch of glamour and sophistication.

Throughout this article, it's clear that our talented baker is dedicated to creating a truly show-stopping cake. From the intricate details to the stunning design elements, every aspect of this creation has been carefully considered and executed with precision and flair. As we take a final look at this incredible cake, we can't help but be impressed by the skill and artistry that has gone into its creation.

**Behind-the-Scenes Insights**

As our guide works on creating this stunning cake, she reveals some behind-the-scenes insights into her creative process. She mentions that she's been working on this project for a long time, and that it takes a lot of patience and dedication to bring a design like this to life. Our guide also thanks her team, including Sasha behind the camera, Chet (although he's not with us anymore), Connie, Amy, Emmy, and Mr. Cake, who have all played an important role in helping her create this masterpiece.

In addition to the artistic process, our guide takes a moment to acknowledge the importance of having a great support system. She expresses her gratitude to Jocelyn for her hairdo, and to everyone else who has helped her along the way. This emphasis on teamwork and collaboration is a testament to the value of working with others in the creative industry.

**A Message from the Artist**

She thanks everyone who has supported her throughout this process, and reminds us that creativity is often about taking risks and pushing boundaries.
