**Unboxing the Asus Zenfone 5: First Impressions**

We are here to unbox the Asus Zenfone 5, a device that promises to deliver a great user experience with its sleek design and impressive features. As we lift the lid off the box, we can see the device in all its glory. The first thing that catches our attention is the red theme that has been applied to the phone, giving it a unique and stylish look. Let's take a closer look at the setup process.

As you can see, we have a simple setup process that gets us booted up quickly. We are presented with an auto brightness sensor, which automatically adjusts the screen brightness based on the ambient light around us. This feature is not only energy-efficient but also easy on the eyes. The setup is straightforward, and we can access various settings to customize our experience.

We take a look at the specifications of the device, which includes 2GB of RAM, an IPS grade screen, and Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) out of the box. We also notice that this is the 8GB variant of the device, which means we have about 4.7 GB of storage space available to us. The good news is that we can expand our storage capacity by adding a microSD card.

Moving on to the display, we can see the auto brightness sensor in action, which automatically adjusts the screen brightness based on the ambient light around us. We can also enable or disable this feature as needed. Additionally, we have a flip cover with this device, which provides an extra layer of protection and convenience.

One of the interesting features of this device is its wireless display capabilities, which includes Miracast. If you have other Miracast-enabled devices, this means that you can wirelessly connect your Asus Zenfone 5 to them for seamless streaming and sharing content. We also notice that there's a system update available, which we'll apply later.

Let's take a look at the pre-installed apps on the device, which include some familiar names like Facebook, Twitter, and WhatsApp. There are also some additional apps that have been installed, including FM radio and flashlight. We can disable or delete any of these apps as needed.

We try out the dialer app, which feels responsive and intuitive to use. However, we haven't set up our Google account yet, so let's get to that soon. Next, we fire up the web browser, which loads our website quickly and efficiently. The keyboard is also very responsive, making it a pleasure to type on.

We take a moment to play back one of our YouTube videos to test the device's performance. The video plays smoothly, but the speaker volume is not that loud. We'll test this further later.

Finally, we take a look at the rear-facing camera, which features an 8-megapixel shooter with LED flash. We fire up the camera app and take a few snaps to see how it performs. The results are impressive, with clean images that are easy on the eyes.

you can get the zenfone 4 is available in india for just around 6 000 rupees uh but the zenfone 5 the version that we have right now is the eight gig word uh variant and the price quoted on the box is 10 999 but i purchased this unit from flipkart for rupees 10 000 and if you're buying this unit from flipkart please use my link it does help the channel so let's quickly just uh open it up and the thing with this zenfone is that it sports a intel atom processor not a processor by qualcomm or something like that but don't be worried the performance is actually very good i have also reviewed the zenfone 6 earlier and the performance is very good again here it just gives you some idea uh that it has 3g it has what do you say bluetooth 4 and the specs are very good i'll just talk about the specs as i do the unboxing here is the device itself as you can see and it says it has a 8 megapixel camera and corning gorilla glass 3 and it has the z ui so let's just take this out let me just take it yeah and i got this in the red color so i will come back to the handset a bit later let's see what else do we get in the box and we have the warranty card and the user manual apart from that we also get the usb cable to micro usb cable nothing special we have extra earbuds and we do get uh earbuds also with this one so that is nice and we also have a microphone over here it's asus branded and we have the wall uh what do you say a usb charger so let's keep these things to the side and let's have a look at the handset itself and here is the handset itself again as you can see it is in this red color but again it has a gradient and if you just move the phone you get that gradient so it looks actually pretty good it just says intel inside and the zenfone branding uh let's just open this up we have an indent over here we'll put our sim card in this and regarding the configuration it supports a 1.6 gigahertz intel dual core atom processor and as you can see uh this is the dual sim variant that we are getting and i'll actually add one of my sim cards here you can just slide in both the sims i just have one sim right now so i'll put that we also have the micro sd card slot over here so you can add a micro sd card also to this device we'll add that a bit later regarding the camera the raid facing camera is a 8 megapixel shooter one more thing you'll notice is that the battery is actually sealed inside it's a 210 milliamp hour battery so the battery is not user replaceable let's put this back and the camera is eight megapixel shooter led flash it can record video in full hd that is 1080p it also has a front facing camera which is a two megapixel shooter so let's just try to power it on i hope it has a charge and yes it gave me haptic feedback and the screen has a 5 inch screen that's a 720p hd screen and it's a ips great screen uh we have the earpiece over here and we have the back home and the multitasking button and this is the first boot for this device so it might take some time again the intel branding over here and uh let me give you a physical overview by the time it boots on the top we have the 3.5 mm headphone jack a secondary microphone power button volume rockers these are made up of metal so nice feel to them and here we have the micro usb slot main microphone and on this end actually nothing and as you can see it is started and i've just put my sim one so we'll activate that and let's just quickly just set it up and i'll uh yes and select our wi-fi networks so it did not detect my five gigahertz span so the wi-fi is just single band that is 2.4 gigahertz let me set up my wi-fi network and i'll be back it's connected to my wi-fi network it connected quickly i'll add my google account etc a bit later we can do this i'll just and we can also create a asus account and we'll do all those things a bit later uh yeah yes we agree to the terms and the setup is done and we are booted and we have a red theme over here uh let's just let's try
