Dan Lesson: The Rise and Fall of a Fake Millionaire
I was recently contacted by Rob Ferretti, a well-known car enthusiast and YouTube personality, who shared with me the shocking story of Dan Lesson, a former friend and acquaintance who built an elaborate persona that eventually led to his downfall. Lesson's rise to supposed wealth and success is nothing short of astonishing, but also eerily familiar.
Lesson's journey began with rumors of him allegedly facing charges related to wire fraud. As it turns out, these allegations were true, and he was indeed accused of using a fake identity to deceive people and steal money from them by creating fraudulent documents. This is a serious crime that carries a significant sentence, with the possibility of up to 20 years in prison for each count.
I spoke with Lesson's mom, who told me that everything her son said about his life was fake. He had no job, never received any money from anyone, and was always telling tall tales. When I asked if he had ever worked at all, she simply replied, "No." This revelation came as a surprise to me, as Lesson often boasted about his supposed wealth and success online.
Lesson's parents are now facing a difficult situation. They tried to bail him out of jail, but their efforts were unsuccessful due to concerns over his alleged use of their father's name fictitiously. It appears that Lesson defrauded not only strangers but also his own family, leaving them feeling betrayed and heartbroken.
What's truly shocking about Lesson's story is the sheer scale of his deceit. He was able to convince people that he had amassed an enormous fortune, including multiple cars worth millions of dollars. In reality, he had nothing, yet he would often spend large sums of money on lavish items, including luxury vehicles, which were not even his own.
The playboy lifestyle that Lesson seemed to enjoy is, in fact, a facade. The wealth and success he claimed online were all fabricated, and it's clear that he was living off the kindness of strangers or those who were fooled by his fake persona. This is a stark reminder that appearances can be deceiving, and that people should always approach claims of wealth and success with caution.
Lesson's case serves as a cautionary tale about the dangers of fake personas and the importance of verifying information before believing someone's story. His alleged wire fraud charges are just the beginning of what promises to be a long and complicated court battle. As this story unfolds, it will be interesting to see how Lesson's reputation is ultimately defined.
Rob Ferretti, who has been friends with Lesson in the past, shared his own insights into the situation. "I've seen people telling tall tales, but Dan was on another level," he said. "He had a way of making you believe everything he said." Ferretti added that Lesson's fake persona had attracted a lot of attention and admiration online, with some people even reaching out to him for advice or business opportunities.
Ferretti also mentioned that Lesson's downfall has left many people feeling shocked and betrayed. "Nobody likes a bully or a thief," he said. "Dan did some really crappy things, and now he's going to pay the price for it." While Ferretti still considers Lesson a friend, he made it clear that he would not support anything related to his alleged crimes.
In conclusion, Dan Lesson's story is a stark reminder of the dangers of fake personas and the importance of verifying information before believing someone's story. His rise and fall serve as a cautionary tale about the consequences of deception and the devastating impact it can have on those around him. As this story continues to unfold, one thing is certain: Lesson will face serious consequences for his actions, and it's likely that his reputation will never be the same again.
If you know anyone who has been affected by Dan Lesson's alleged crimes, please feel free to reach out to Rob Ferretti at superspeeders.com. It's essential to support those who have been harmed byLesson's deceitful actions.

stuff i would be assuming so i'm not going to clarify each point as we go through but just assume that everything i say from here on out is 100 fictional beyond the fact that daniel lesson was arrested by the fbi on june 1st let's get in the story time so i met dan in i want to say four years ago let's just use that for a number he was a fan of my videos i was doing a drive and he came out through tony boniello who runs the cars and coffee here in bergen county in a ferrari 488 spider he showed up and instantly i'm like oh who's this young guy in the ferrari and the stories start coming now this is key to perpetrating a fraud and and you'll see this theme throughout is have somebody else sell your story for you so if you start talking about this celebrity coming in oh this person's so big and this and that and they're so rich and that and then you show up and then things sort of fill like not everything makes sense but it sort of could feel right is how they're able to carry this on for so long so what dan was doing ultimately and now and i said i've traveled the world with him he's been a customer of my adventure drives and about a year ago i got a call from a dealer that i work with who sent over uh a porsche 918 spider now dan has had a litany of other cars right but having cars doesn't mean you have money but dan had like this whole back wall was filled with his cars for storage at one point in time you're talking f12 tdfs and uh 458 speciales and pistas and and uh murcielago svs like you're talking legitimate cars 918 uh porsche 918 now the stories were endless like he owned every car in the planet when you talk to him oh delivery mile mclaren f1 over here over there that i smelled through and but he did have tangible stuff he had a lot of stuff and i saw him swiping his credit card a lot it always seemed to go through but he claimed that he was a son of a russian billionaire right so the story story is great but other people also said he's the son of a russian billionaire so who am i now to like play private eye and prove him wrong because i genuinely don't care as long as he's a nice enough person but then i get a call from somebody saying hey you know this guy um i'm i'm a little concerned i just sent him a porsche 918 and he's trading me for a ferrari monza allocation that he has he sent over the documents i can't validate them uh can you just give me your gut on this and i said i'd be careful there um something something is wrong i don't know what it is but something is wrong and this guy yes he's had a lot of ferraris yes he seems to get all the new cars he's got a lot of buying power but just something seems off so he sent the dealer sent me over the documents and it turns out that it was my sales guy at uh at the local dealership who was listed as the selling person for the ferrari monza that he had on order so i call up my sales gun i'm like hey um does does dan happen to have a monza in order he's like nope couldn't get him one i'm like oh it's interesting because he just traded his spot for a million and a half dollar car yeah that's where it's going so i told the dealer i'm like hey guys doesn't he doesn't have a spot through that dealership and he's like well they they sent me two wire transfers that shows he has a million dollars now so he's got two 500 000 wire transfers he sent to the dealership send them over to the guy he's like we don't have any of his money in-house that was the first like like this is getting juicy if this kid is who he says he is and his family is as rich as he say they are why is he selling a fake like allocation again trading it against the car he's already got a 918 why do you need two 918s so in my head something was really wrong so i was able to alert my friend at the dealership he was able to pull his 918 back nullify that deal he's out a couple thousand dollars in transport but lesson learned because a lot of other people and they don't even know it yet this is the video breaking the news because you type his name into google right now and get two lawsuits for the same manza fraud where he sold this manza to other people and took a lot of money i think like a million dollars and 500 000 respectively from these people and didn't have a car to deliver we'll tell you how he was able to do that but i was able to get this one deal reversed and sort of identify like all right something doesn't make sense here now he told a lot of stories but i summed it up to a like a legitimate rich kid everything went on a credit card so we always put it on his amex i assume that and he always he lived that trust fund life was flying on private jets all over the place doing all sorts of stuff has all these cars so there's got to be something there you can't just completely be fraudulent he claims that he and i knew this was bs he claims that he invented gambling software when he was in college that helped predict the winners of horse races and he sold it to steve wynn through his dad who's a big hedge fund guy i thought it was bs didn't care to call him out on it never met his dad never met his mom so i didn't know any better so i knew know enough to not believe it but i just figured the kid's making excuses because a lot of people who are like trust fund kids try to validate the fact that they've never made any money and they just go through life spending swiping credit cards by coming up with some story how they've made their money and now they're retired off of family money whatever the story is it's a justification for just being rich right like oh i'm not i'm not just a spoiled rich kid i like i i run this uh this this company my my dad and i started that that's a justification so i just figured his his parents were giving him just in my head 50 to 100 000 a month to go out and spend and waste on whatever he wants and he was getting thirstier so he was now selling fake allocations to generate even more money but i knew that was gonna end badly now that's not unheard of people like you thinking it blows your mind that this happens happens a lot there's a lot of rich kids out there that are just swiping daddy's credit cards living trust fund and mommy's credit cards living that trust fund life and i this is how i always explained it to anyone who asked me about him because i was clear like when this when the guy called me up and said hey is this guy legit because i just sent him a million and a half dollar car i described him that exact same way probably has some money there and his dad appears to be pretty wealthy however i'd be very careful because something doesn't seem to add up here he tells too many stories and when you're that rich you don't have to make everything up and this guy was very smart and very good at making things up and how did this monza fraud happen right who sends a million dollars to somebody he had an agreement that said and because you're not allowed to turn around like you can't buy a ferrari that's limited like that and turn around and sell it right because not anyone can get these hyper cars i've done a video on how to get the hyper cars and it's very hard to get to that point you can't just turn around and sell it because you're an ambassador for ferrari so if somebody is caught selling it ferrari's not going to sell them the car so you can sell it theoretically but it's got to be super hush-hush now how does that work he gives this order that says i am going to sell you my spot i can't sell it for two years so if you do anything to jeopardize this spot and cause me to lose my order i'm keeping your money so he takes a million dollars from this guy and this guy says like all i want to do is not screw up this dude's order so i get my car the way i want it and i don't like ruin the guy's order i don't get a car and i'm out a million dollars so that's why they sort of tiptoed around it and that's how this was able to go so long now there's other ways that this guy made money he constantly rotated through cars he would always show up in all these different cars and you would just sue assume he had a hundred of them right right he had exotic cars all over he claimed to have buildings here and and he owned this and he owned that and he owned everything in the world which i knew was bs he'd always walk around he'd have like a hundred thousand dollar watch on his rich on his wrist and he'd always show up with a different one so we never see the same thing twice but there was enough substance there to be like all right like something doesn't add up but there's got to be some justification you can't just go from zero to this by the age of 24. and man was my mind blown when i spoke to his parents because i got the phone call which was the least surprising phone call of my life from his mom on my office line that i need to talk to rob immediately uh daniel's been arrested and we need you to co-sign his release what i said that's not surprising but like your guys are billionaires why don't you sign for his release and turns out they're not billionaires i'm not i have no idea what their financials their financial position is but they're not billionaires and they didn't have the money to co-sign his release so now it's like this is this is getting juicy right now he's going to be in there and he is still in custody he's going to be transferred now he's been in jail since june 1st he's going to be transferred down to florida and he is facing federal wire fraud charges this is all allegedly you are innocent until proven guilty but i'm excited but also curious to see the scope of this because this has impacts now i've got no financial ties with this kid i didn't i like i got burnt by him for uh an 800 glass of whiskey once we'll call that we'll chalk that up and again story time he owns a milwaukee bucks if the bucks win the game he's buying shots on everyone oh you're in the milwaukee bucks honey i see in the front row all the time but if you own them and you're buying shots let's do around to louis the 13th we get around to louis the 13th he's like all right let's split the bill don't worry i'll expense it against the bucks they'll send you your 800 back never saw that 800 don't plan on seeing that 800 but you fast forward through all of this and it turns out that there are there's much less there now because he was just traveling the world he was in dubai he was in london he was in marrakech for a month and now he's back in the united states and game's over he is uh he is allegedly facing charges as i said innocent until proven guilty but there was never any agent that interviewed me the dealership or anyone else there was just rumblings that he was being investigated and sure enough those rumblings are true and now he is facing allegedly uh a wire fraud charge which is the standard like white collar you stole money from people by making fraudulent documents and that's a wireframe charge which carries up to 20 years per count i've never seen anyone get that usually people get five they go to otisville and they they're out in two and a half but uh we'll see what happens so if you know dan lesson or think you knew dan lesson uh you know we're learning things as it unfolds i spoke to his mom everything that he said ultimately she said is fake um and he's got a history of uh telling tall tales sure first question to me was do you know has he ever had a job and i'm like oh this is going to be good because i'm like i thought you guys were giving him money every month like no we don't give him anything we've never given him anything he used to steal from us and i'm like not good so if you're uh familiar you'll see this unfold i'm sure people are still out there because they don't even know he's been arrested because it's not even public record yet i should be able to i could tell you right um i don't think i'm in violation of anything um because they called me to bail him out so that's how i know that he is in jail and ultimately uh there's a lot of people that may have dealings with him that have no idea they're just like oh the guy hasn't picked up his phone he's probably overseas or something but he's not he's in jail and he's going to be in jail because his parents can't even bail him out and they're not going to bail him out because it appears that he was using the father's name fictitiously and now he's defrauded his own family so a little bit of a hot mess uh i i'm not disowning him as a friend i still had a lot of good times with him so i'm not going to be there like oh yeah what a piece of crap the things he did to defraud people nobody likes a bully and nobody likes a thief right nobody likes somebody who gets violent and nobody likes somebody who steals from people i'm not going to support anything that he did i think he did some really crappy things allegedly and he's going to end up paying the price for that so stay tuned if you know of anybody who's been affected by this i guess you can email me i don't have anywhere to point you yet but uh we'll see as it unfolds if something big comes out of this i'll let you know but it's effectively a ponzi scheme uh the unfortunate part about this is that i just the playboy lifestyle that this kid lived and the amount of money that he was able to the amount of wealth and just having at one point in time that i knew of about three or four million dollars worth of cars to have that buying power starting from nothing and just fictitiously turning it into this by the age of 24 is is really like it's sadly going to be like a netflix special and this kid's going to profit off the fact that he was a dirtbag to people so we'll see what happens rob ferretti thank you for watching if you know anything about this that i don't know feel free to send me a message rob at superspeeders.com but unless i'm wrong this is breaking into the world you can't believe when somebody has a lot of stuff that they're legitimate um and especially when other people are selling the live for him he would always have people say oh yeah this guy's such a big shot he's got this and i've seen this and i've seen this and when everyone starts putting it together like oh i saw him with the ferrari oh i saw him with the pagani i saw him with this i saw him with that then all of a sudden he's larger than life and this guy who doesn't have anything can walk in like he's the king of f mountain and people will believe him although things don't make sense there's enough people providing validation and enough spending power that it got him to build a quite the empire which was all fake drop for ready thank you for watching see you tomorrow youman was my mind blown when i spoke to his parents because i got the phone call which was the least surprising phone call of my life from his mom on my office line that i need to talk to over he is uh he is allegedly facing charges as i said innocent until proven guilty but there was never any agent that interviewed me the dealership or anyone else there was just rumblings that he was being investigated and sure enough those rumblings are true and now he is facing allegedly uh a wire fraud charge which is the standard like white collar you stole money from people by making fraudulent documents and that's a wireframe charge which carries up to 20 years per count i've never seen anyone get that usually people get five they go to otisville and they they're out in two and a half but uh we'll see what happens so if you know dan lesson or think you knew dan lesson uh you know we're learning things as it unfolds i spoke to his mom everything that he said ultimately she said is fake um and he's got a history of uh telling tall tales sure first question to me was do you know has he ever had a job and i'm like oh this is going to be good because i'm like i thought you guys were giving him money every month like no we don't give him anything we've never given him anything he used to steal from us and i'm like not good so if you're uh familiar you'll see this unfold i'm sure people are still out there because they don't even know he's been arrested because it's not even public record yet i should be able to i could tell you right um i don't think i'm in violation of anything um because they called me to bail him out so that's how i know that he is in jail and ultimately uh there's a lot of people that may have dealings with him that have no idea they're just like oh the guy hasn't picked up his phone he's probably overseas or something but he's not he's in jail and he's going to be in jail because his parents can't even bail him out and they're not going to bail him out because it appears that he was using the father's name fictitiously and now he's defrauded his own family so a little bit of a hot mess uh i i'm not disowning him as a friend i still had a lot of good times with him so i'm not going to be there like oh yeah what a piece of crap the things he did to defraud people nobody likes a bully and nobody likes a thief right nobody likes somebody who gets violent and nobody likes somebody who steals from people i'm not going to support anything that he did i think he did some really crappy things allegedly and he's going to end up paying the price for that so stay tuned if you know of anybody who's been affected by this i guess you can email me i don't have anywhere to point you yet but uh we'll see as it unfolds if something big comes out of this i'll let you know but it's effectively a ponzi scheme uh the unfortunate part about this is that i just the playboy lifestyle that this kid lived and the amount of money that he was able to the amount of wealth and just having at one point in time that i knew of about three or four million dollars worth of cars to have that buying power starting from nothing and just fictitiously turning it into this by the age of 24 is is really like it's sadly going to be like a netflix special and this kid's going to profit off the fact that he was a dirtbag to people so we'll see what happens rob ferretti thank you for watching if you know anything about this that i don't know feel free to send me a message rob at superspeeders.com but unless i'm wrong this is breaking into the world you can't believe when somebody has a lot of stuff that they're legitimate um and especially when other people are selling the live for him he would always have people say oh yeah this guy's such a big shot he's got this and i've seen this and i've seen this and when everyone starts putting it together like oh i saw him with the ferrari oh i saw him with the pagani i saw him with this i saw him with that then all of a sudden he's larger than life and this guy who doesn't have anything can walk in like he's the king of f mountain and people will believe him although things don't make sense there's enough people providing validation and enough spending power that it got him to build a quite the empire which was all fake drop for ready thank you for watching see you tomorrow you\n"
