I Know I Watch It: A Used PC Build Experience with the RX 470

I know I watch it there's 70 videos, a bunch of those videos okay gotcha what's your Venmo name scan code is that you yep okay so it'll be $70.70 and this is for um our X 470 offer PC are you building so this one's going to be paired with a Ryzen 5 1600 system so kind of older parts which kind of work with this well it's like an all used build so all right let me know when you get that do you buy and sell a lot oh I just built sometimes did you any of the new parts by chance the 30 series yeah people are scouting them way too much I saw they were selling the 30 60 ti for like the same price as a 37 yeah basically even more like $899 yep okay sweet alright thank you very much all right we are back to the good camera now so I guess when he saw the uh action cam he recognized I was a YouTuber but yeah that was a nice quick easy transaction let's get home test this card out and um I'm gonna cut to me in the driveway because this is gonna be a boring and uneventful drive home all right we are boom I'm alive here's a good look at the card in much better lighting but man this Shroud is beautiful it's a little bit dusty but that's fine whatever I can dust and clean that up there's no back plate on it so what I'm gonna do real quick is I have this system which is gonna be in actually a future video I'm really excited for this system actually but I'm gonna for now need it so that I can test this card out because it has everything it actually has a RX 580 in here right now not too different of a card of what we're gonna test but yeah I'm gonna pop this into the system and then make sure everything works fine I don't think I have to install any drivers because the Adrenaline drivers for the 580 should work with the 470.

Let's see opening up MSI Afterburner we do see the RX 470 drivers you have Adrenaline 20.11.3 so we're good to go there I'm not gonna have to install anything else do I have Fur Mark on here I do and uh we're going to run for a mark we're going to do the GPU stress test so I'm just letting it run for a little bit we're getting about 70 FPS on the Fur Mark 1080p no uh MSAA stress test and the card is reaching its at 77 degrees now and I think this is with the default fan curves too the fans are ramping up later that night so everything checks out there's no artifacting or any crashing or anything like that hopefully it can overclock a little bit just to squeeze out a little bit more performance maybe push it up closer to a 480 or like a 570 but I'm going to go with this this card really happy I was able to pick it up for $70.70 and $0.70 which I think that was an awesome deal for this card anyone building a PC under like the I don't know $500 price range definitely look to the used market especially for the graphics card with the CPU you can get by with a newer like uh Intel i3 or if you can find like a Ryzen 3 those are priced not too bad those are around like $100 or so but graphics cards there's not that much in the new segment so if you've got a limited budget the graphics card is where you can save the most amount of money because as I said earlier the equivalent performance to these cards like the 470, 570, 480, 580 it's gonna be at least $150 if not close to $200 for new parts.

picking up anything that's a decent deal which is why i haven't been able to find a decent deal around me but today or actually yesterday i found what i think to be a really good deal the post was not even 24 hours old when i responded it's for a graphics card and i'll talk about it more on the way out but i gotta go meet the seller right now otherwise i'm gonna be late so i'm gonna grab my jacket pre-copied but since we're in covet time frame it makes it an amazing deal i would value this right now at around 100 to 110 dollars if you're gonna go based on something that's readily available like found on ebay or something to the masses i don't think 70 is going to be a common deal a lot of people will be able to find and the rx 470 yet it's a few generations old but you got to consider the 500 series from amd was a polaris refresh so it's not like it was completely new architecture anyway so if you think about what amd has offered afterwards which would have been what vega and then we went on to the rx 5000 series is not that many generations behind with regards to the market right now the closest thing i can think of for a brand new graphics card in the ballpark of this rx 470 will be like the 1650 super or the 5500 xt both of those which are going for around like 170 to 200 so getting this at 70 dollars even though it will be slightly lower performance than those i think it's a great deal even though it's used too just because there's you don't find those two cards in the used market that much so for the lower end market there's really not that much of an offering you have to go like a few years old the rx 470 released in the middle of 2016. so by now it's coming up on four and a half years old but it's still very relevant i am stuck in traffic right now and hopefully that does not make me late you can see the police lights right now but um yeah you want to get the rx 470 480 570 or 580 i would say even the gtx 1060 whether it's a three gigabyte or the 60 gigabyte versions uh are gonna be good enough and i know people hate the three gigabyte 1060s i don't really know why that amount of vram is perfect for someone playing at 1080p and i honestly don't think it's a problem especially when you don't have the option of being picky right now with how bad especially like for me the local used market is if you don't have that many options in your own personal use market then you're gonna have to go with what you can get um and i would say the 1063 gigabyte at 100 isn't that bad of a deal of course if i were to rank all these cards it would be at the bottom of the list but i would still consider it so the seller wants to meet me at the local bank uh becu and i asked him if he was willing to take venmo or paypal just because the less you have to touch money the better and he said he was down with venmo which thank goodness he is because i didn't want to have to go and withdraw money beforehand even though we are meeting at the bank um just because it's 70 so there's like an odd number in there which would require either 5 or 10 bills but i think the atms only give out in uh in twenty dollars so that would have been a pain uh to try to get that one of the twenties broken into two tens the one thing i do like about offer up over craigslist you can actually tie more information to it to kind of verify that you're legit it does track like the verified transactions that you do i really like that about it and it lets people rate you whether or not your communication was good whether or not you came on time things like that so let's see where i can get a parking spot right in the front where there's good lighting get my mask on so i do not forget about that all right he says he's here by the entrance hey how's it going danny nice
