**A Quick Video Update**

Hey what's up everyone! I just wanted to make a quick video because I reached 1000 subscribers a few days ago. It's absolutely insane how fast my channel is growing considering the medium in which it's getting through. The setup of your first live stream, if you think about it, I have 41 videos that are almost exclusively about getting your stream online and making it look good. And that's great because I love figuring things out and then explaining them to people.

**Growing on YouTube**

But I definitely have to do more to grow this channel to something big. And the reason I haven't been streaming yet and why I'm building this YouTube channel before starting to stream is that building a stream from scratch is extremely hard. You hear it everywhere, and I'm gonna say it more and more on this channel. But in order to grow on a platform like Twitch, you also need to grow somewhere else, and YouTube is the perfect place.

**Starting Twitch Streams**

So here we are then - the foundation of The Video Nerd is built! I'm growing faster and faster on YouTube, so it's time to start building the Twitch channel. From now on, there will be 2 Twitch streams each week where we can chill, game, salt, discuss trending topics, and just have a good time with the community. **First Official Stream**

The first official stream will be this Saturday, and it will be in the afternoon for people in America, and an evening for people in Europe like me since I live in Belgium. In Asia, I'll be at... but yeah, I can't adjust my schedule to everyone, and 50% of my viewers are from the USA, so I had to prioritize that now.

**Two Quick Things**

Before we get into the giveaway, there are two quick things I want to mention. First, I would love to create merch that people actually want to wear - not at all for the money because I don't think it will be that significant anyways, but just to create something that people would like to wear. And there are a lot of merch designs with big images, long text, or big words like "streamer" and "creator." But I think most people would like something a little more subtle, and I was thinking about this design - it's very clear what it means, but it still won't catch anyone's eyes in case you don't want everyone to question what you're wearing. Let me know in the comments if this is complete garbage or if you love it, and even better if you know something that would improve it or if you have a completely other idea - I would love to hear about it.

**Prepared Videos**

The second thing for the next one or two months, I will have no time to create videos because I'm finishing my education in audio-visual design. So, I've prepared a few videos which will be published every two or three weeks, and then after that, I'll be able to go all in on YouTube and streaming and do it full-time. There will be at least two videos and two streams each week - I cannot tell you how excited I am for that! Thank you so much for watching my videos; I'm loving every second of it.
