**Setting Up for Success**
The key to going far and fast in Mayhem is understanding the importance of setting up your character's abilities correctly. The match limit has been reduced to 30 minutes, so it's essential to prioritize efficiency and strategy over raw skill. To achieve this, you need to set your super recharge rate to the lowest possible value and adjust your respawn time accordingly. This will ensure that you're able to use your super power as much as needed without wasting too much time on respawning.
**Key Bindings**
One crucial aspect of playing Mayhem is remapping your keys to suit your playstyle. The default super button layout can be frustrating, especially when trying to execute complex combos. To overcome this, you need to rebind your super button to a more accessible location. In this case, the author recommends setting it up on the d-pad, allowing for quick and precise execution of the move. Additionally, the emo has been removed from the game, so you'll need to find alternative ways to express yourself.
** ledge-based gameplay**
Another essential aspect of playing Mayhem is understanding the importance of ledge-based gameplay. To execute certain moves effectively, such as the super dash or heavy attack, you need to be on a ledge. This means that you should always try to position yourself near ledges whenever possible, allowing you to perform more complex maneuvers and extend your reach.
**Super Execution**
The author recommends setting up a burst glide ability, which will allow you to cover longer distances without using your super power. To execute the move, simply hold down the Y button, followed by pressing the right trigger to activate the heavy attack, and finally pressing up on the d-pad to execute the super dash. This sequence should be repeated in rapid succession, with a pause between each press.
**Tips and Tricks**
There are several tips and tricks that can help you improve your gameplay in Mayhem. One of these is to practice the "bored" technique, which involves simply jumping, pulling out the eager edge sword, and then pressing the d-pad to execute the super dash. This method is much simpler than the author's preferred approach but still allows for efficient movement. Additionally, using a backpedal can be beneficial, as it enables you to jump while looking around freely.
**Conclusion**
Mayhem is a challenging game that requires patience, strategy, and practice to master. By setting up your character's abilities correctly, remapping your keys, understanding ledge-based gameplay, executing the super dash effectively, and practicing specific techniques, you can improve your chances of success in this fast-paced game. Remember, it may take time to develop muscle memory and execute moves flawlessly, so don't get discouraged if you don't see immediate results. With persistence and dedication, however, you'll be well on your way to becoming a top player in Mayhem.

it's going to take practice first of all it's not it's not as easy as mouse and keyboard so what I did to master it was you go to Crucible you want to go to a private match the easiest way and the easiest map was to go Mayhem and go to eternity so and then set the match limit to just 30 minutes so this is important you want to set your super recharge rate to the lowest you can same with the respawn time you're gonna die and you're gonna be using your super a lot once you got that set Just Launch it okay so you're going to want to make sure you have your eager edge sword and then you're going to want to grab heavy smells nice it's nice and long so before we get into it one thing you need to know that's really important is remapping your keys Now the default super on controller is left bumper right bumper all right so we're gonna go to button layout and we want to rebind our super see how I have it set to up on the d-pad because that's really easy to press and it's press three buttons really quickly within half a second so I recommend doing up on the d-pad I know you're going to get rid of the emo which is a big L but you'll just have to make do a three emotes one important thing too that is very important is make sure you have to be on a Ledge so if you look at what I'm doing here I am always on a Ledge so you can only while skate off of some kind of ledge okay and one last thing that I need to mention is put on burst Glide that is very important as well cannot go as far without burst Glide once you have that set all you do is you hold y to follow your heavy press right trigger to do a heavy attack and then you press up on the d-pad to do your super and then a to jump that is the order of button speed press so hold Y and then you could chill and think for a sec and then heavy super jump that's it so I'll show you what that looks like in succession just like that do it again just for reference so you can see my inputs you just put it away and Nick Dash goes further just like that it'll take practice to get used to it 100 it's it might feel frustrating at first part of the game especially when you're playing on controller it's a little tougher but it's very doable now there is another trick to go super far like when you see people skipping the entire King's fall jump puzzle a lot of other jump puzzles you can throw on heat rises right and then you can just eat your grenade to pop it watch this we have two big dashes you can go really far with that deck that's a good thing to practice too if you want to get crazy with skipping giant jump puzzles but once again you do not need to eat Rises you can skip a lot of jump puzzles still just without heat rising so that's just for extra extra distance like the king's fall one you'll need he rises if you want to just learn how to normal sword skate it's a lot simpler you just got to get the eager edge sword and instead of doing your well all I do is you jump pull out the sword and you do that so you jump pull out the sword light attack put it away and then ick Dash and then you can do your burst Glide to keep going uh you'll probably see I'm pressing back pedal because I have a as a jump because when you're on controller without a back pedal you have to press a and then move your thumb to aim and that's terrible I hate having to do that having a back pit allows you to jump and still look around freely spam it be free to look that's why I highly recommend backfelts but you don't need them once again it's just jump hold up put it away and then pick Dash jump the first Glide it's real easy just gotta remember to put the sword away right after doing it because that was the Nerf they did a while back where it kills your momentum if you Icarus Dash well you have the sword out foreign keyboard I said I'll throw that in as well it's a lot simpler all you got to do is it's the same set of buttons you press right so I have a map to just three in a row like right next to each other makes it really simple seven eight nine so all I do is whip out the sword and then seven eight nine that's all you do that's why it's so much easier on mouse and keyboard but as you can see I was still getting it fairly consistently on controller once you just practice enough you get it down that's all there really is to mass a keyboard so once again I hope this guide is helpful for you if you learn how to do it on controller I did not get it first try remember you will most likely not get a first try unless you're cracked on controller so do not get frustrated by it be patient with
