Introducing the New iPhone 14 Lineup: A Pro-Focused Upgrade
This year's iPhone lineup is going to be a little different than what we're used to seeing from Apple. Instead of a mini iPhone, we can expect to see a complete opposite - a non-Pro larger iPhone. That's right, instead of a 5.8-inch mini iPhone, the new lineup will feature a 6.1-inch iPhone 14 and a 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Max, with their Pro counterparts offering 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch displays as well.
The removal of the notch is another big change that we can expect to see in this year's iPhone 14 lineup. The new pill-shaped cutout will house the Face ID dot projector and other Face ID components, while a second circular cutout will accommodate the front-facing camera. This is a significant departure from the traditional notch design that has been a staple of Apple's iPhones for years.
The non-Pro models are expected to continue with the standard notch design, so if you're a fan of it, there's no need to worry about this change. However, if you're looking at the Pro models, you can expect some significant upgrades in terms of design and features. The Pro models will also get an upgrade from stainless steel to titanium, which is expected to make them even more durable.
In terms of camera capabilities, Apple is expected to introduce a 48-megapixel camera up from 12 megapixels, which is a significant jump. This new camera will be exclusive to the Pro models, and it's expected to offer improved 8K video recording capabilities. We may also see some good improvements to the telephoto lens and ultra-wide camera. The Pro models will also get an updated A16 chip, while the non-Pro models will continue to use the A15 chip.
Another significant change is the front-facing camera. All models will get an improved lens with a wide aperture and autofocus capabilities. However, if you're looking at the Pro models, you might also see some additional features such as an updated Face ID system. The Pro models are expected to offer eight gigabytes of RAM, which is a significant upgrade over the standard 6GB.
There have been some minor rumors surrounding the new iPhone 14 lineup, including the possibility of Wi-Fi 6E and up to two terabytes of storage for the Pro models. However, these details are not confirmed by Apple at this time.
Pricing for the new iPhone 14 lineup is expected to be higher than last year's models, with an estimated price increase of around $10-$15 per phone. The standard iPhone models will not see a price increase, but the Pro models will likely be more expensive due to their additional features and upgrades. For example, the iPhone 14 Pro is expected to start at around $1099, while the iPhone 14 Pro Max could start at around $1199.
Overall, it looks like Apple is trying to distance itself from its Pro-Non-Pro model naming scheme this year, with all the new features and upgrades being exclusive to the Pro models. This is likely to make it easier for customers to decide which phone they want, as the differences between the Pro and Non-Pro models are more pronounced than ever before.
We'd love to hear your thoughts on these changes! Will you be upgrading to a Pro model this year? Do you think the new features and upgrades are worth the increased cost? Let us know in the comments below.

would be great if you considered hitting that subscribe button we'll be definitely going hands-on with the iphone 14 lineup when it gets released next month so hit subscribe so you don't miss those videos let's start with the potential event dates because that will be coming up sooner than you think there have been rumors pointing to september 6th or the 7th a few days after labor day but traditionally apple doesn't really like to do that all too often and even last year they actually had the event scheduled the following week but according to bloomberg's mark german apple is in fact planning to hold its first fall event on wednesday september 7th which will likely again feature the iphone 14 models as well as the apple watch series 8. now this year apple should again introduce four phones but the lineup is going to be a little bit different we can expect to see a 6.1 inch iphone 14 and a 6.1 inch iphone 14 pro as well as a 6.7 inch iphone 14 max and the pro counterpart in the iphone 14 pro max so that's right instead of a mini iphone we're going the complete opposite this year and getting a non-pro larger iphone another big change will in fact take place with the notch or in this case the removal of the notch in favor of a new pill-shaped cutout which will house the face id dot projector and other face id components and then a second circular cutout will accommodate the front-facing camera the non-pro models are expected to continue with the standard notch so if you're a big fan of it well then you might want to consider going with a non-pro model now last year with the iphone 13 pro models those received 120 hertz pro motion technology and that will continue to be exclusive to the pro models again this year as well as a new always on display feature now with the always on display technology ios 16 wallpapers will feature a sleep state that will darken the wallpaper to use less energy the darker tint will be suitable for a dimmed always on display and it will likely activate and turn brighter when the display is actively turned on the iphone 14 pro models are also expected to get an upgrade in the chassis department with an upgrade from stainless steel to titanium the non-pro models will continue to stick with aluminum but it looks like the frame of the pro models and again another exclusive pro model feature is going to get a little bit more durable with that upgrade to titanium now if we go ahead and look at the back of the iphone from a camera perspective apple is expected to introduce a 48 megapixel camera up from 12 which is kind of a big jump here with 8k video recording capabilities there could also be some good improvements to the telephoto lens and we may see a better ultra wide camera as well now the 48 megapixel wide main sensor the telephoto lens improvements and the lidar scanner will continue to be pro only features again apple is trying to distance itself much more so than years past with the pro and non-pro phones now as for the front-facing camera all models will get an improved lens with a wide aperture and autofocus capabilities in addition to those camera improvements and the notch changes the iphone 14 pro models could get an updated a16 chip while the non-pro models will continue to use the a15 chip that's currently found in the iphone 13 lineup if this happens it will mark the first time that apple has put a faster chip in a pro iphone model and with past devices both standard and pro iphones have used the exact same chip and it's also rumored that these pro models will offer eight gigabytes of ram so as you can see by the theme here it really looks like apple is paying more attention and adding in these pro features to the pro models and kind of forcing people's hands for those who want those features at an upgrade there have also been a few minor rumors out there like the wi-fi 6e making its way into these new phones for 2022. two terabytes of storage could now be possible which is up from one terabyte last year for the pro models and it might look like the new iphone 14 might not come with a physical sim slot instead strictly relying on e-sim apple will also increase the prices of the iphone 14 pro models no shock there compared to the iphone 13 pro models according to apple analyst ming chi quo while he stopped short of providing exact pricing kwo said that the average selling price of the iphone 14 lineup as a whole should increase by about 15 if an iphone 14 pro and pro max pricing goes up by around 10 the 14 pro could start at around 10.99 and the iphone 14 pro max would start at around 11.99 but exact pricing is again not known just an estimate so look at about a 10 to 15 price increase depending on which phone you go with prior rumors have suggested that the standard iphone models will not see price increases so there is a benefit there for the non-pro models uh if you decide to make that jump this year you shouldn't see a price increase of course i would love to know your thoughts on everything that we know about the iphone 14 uh down in the comments below now that you have kind of all this information does it look like you might go from maybe
