How to Grill Asian Style BBQ Ribs _ Recipe

**The Art of Asian-Style Barbecue Ribs**

When it comes to barbecue ribs, most people think of traditional Southern-style ribs slathered in sauce and grilled to perfection. However, for those looking to try something new and exciting, Asian-style barbecue ribs are a game-changer. In this article, we'll explore the world of Asian-style barbecue ribs and learn how to make them at home.

**The Marinade**

To start, you'll need a marinade that's equal parts sweet, salty, and savory. A typical marinade for Asian-style barbecue ribs includes sugar, molasses, wine vinegar, mustard seed, and other spices. Yes, it sounds strange, but trust us when we say that this combination of flavors is the key to creating tender and juicy ribs. For our recipe, we'll be using a half cup of oyster sauce, which adds depth and umami flavor to the dish.

To balance out the sweet and salty taste, we'll add some minced garlic - four tablespoons should do the trick. We'll also throw in a half teaspoon of cayenne pepper to give it a bit of heat. Don't be afraid to adjust the amount of cayenne to your liking, but remember that too much heat can overpower the other flavors.

**Preparing the Ribs**

Once we have our marinade ready, it's time to prepare the ribs themselves. For Asian-style barbecue ribs, you won't want to cook the whole rack - instead, cut each rib individually into smaller pieces, almost like boneless chicken strips. If you're feeling extra adventurous, you can even cut them into individual riblets.

**Marinating the Ribs**

With our marinade and prepared ribs in hand, it's time to let the magic happen. Mix those ribs with the marinade, making sure they're fully coated on all sides. If you're not comfortable using your hands (or plastic gloves), now's the time to don them.

**Grilling the Ribs**

Now that our ribs are marinating, we can't wait to throw them on the grill. For Asian-style barbecue ribs, we'll be using indirect heat, which means we'll place the ribs opposite the hot coals. This will ensure even cooking and prevent those pesky flare-ups.

As we prepare to put the ribs on the grill, we'll add a few tablespoons of soy sauce and honey to create another layer of flavor. Don't be shy - we want that sweet and salty taste to shine through. We'll also take this opportunity to baste the ribs with some of that delicious marinade, making sure they're nice and tender.

**The Final Act**

With about 40 minutes left on our timer, it's time to bring those ribs together. We'll move them around the grill to ensure even heating, and then we'll give them a good basting sauce. This is where patience comes in - Asian-style barbecue ribs require a bit of time to develop that perfect balance of flavors.

As the clock ticks down, our ribs are getting closer and closer to perfection. With another half hour left on the timer, we can't help but feel excited about what's to come. Finally, it's time to plate up those ribs and take a bite... oh baby!

In this article, we explored the world of Asian-style barbecue ribs and learned how to make them at home. From the marinade to the grilling process, every step was carefully considered to ensure that our final product would be nothing short of perfection. Whether you're looking for something new and exciting or just want to try something different, Asian-style barbecue ribs are a recipe worth trying.
