The Music-Based Event: A Look Ahead to Apple's September 1st Event
Hey guys, how's it going? It's Brandon here, BB's iPod Touch help, and I'm excited to share with you my thoughts on Apple's upcoming September 1st event. As a music enthusiast, this event is all about what Apple has in store for us when it comes to music and technology.
The Cover: A Guitar with an Apple Logo
One thing that caught my attention right away is the cover of the promo for the whole event. It features a guitar with an Apple logo on it. This tells me that we can expect some exciting announcements related to music and technology. With this as our starting point, I'll quickly run through what I think we might see.
New iPods: What's in Store?
First off, we should be expecting new iPods. Now, I know what you're thinking - "What does a new iPod mean?" Well, let me tell you, with Apple always pushing the boundaries of innovation, there's plenty to look forward to. For starters, the iPod Nano might have a touch screen and possibly even a camera on it. The iPod touch, as we all guess (pun intended), is likely going to have a front-facing camera and a back-facing camera, maybe even with a retina display like the iPhone 4. And, of course, the new iPods will probably come with some sort of software upgrade.
The Software: Upgrading iMovie and iPhoto
We know that Apple likes to upgrade their software, and we're likely to see some changes in this department as well. The software might be upgraded to improve our overall experience with iMovie or iPhoto. This is just speculation at this point, but I'm confident that we'll see some improvements.
iPod Touch: Front-Facing Camera and Retina Display
Speaking of the iPod touch, one thing that's been on everyone's mind lately is the possibility of a front-facing camera for FaceTime. It seems that Apple might be working on incorporating this feature into their next-gen iPods. And, as I mentioned earlier, there's also talk of a retina display like the iPhone 4. This would make for an amazing device.
The ITV: A New Player in the Market
Now, let's talk about the ITV (I'm not sure what to call it - Apple TV, iTunes thingy?). From what we know, this device will be running iOS 4 and won't shoot in 1080p. However, it'll still only cost $99! This is an interesting move by Apple, as it could potentially disrupt the market with its affordability.
A New Name: The ITV?
I'm not entirely sure why they're calling it the ITV, but I guess that's just part of the mystery surrounding this device. One thing we do know is that it'll be able to run apps similar to those on the iPhone or iPod touch, which is a great selling point.
The Shuffle: A Camera? Really?
Lastly, let's talk about the shuffle. Now, I was confused when I first heard about the possibility of a camera on this device. However, as we know more, it seems like this might actually be possible after all! We'll have to see how this plays out in the coming days.
What Do You Guys Think?
Before I wrap up this article, I want to hear from you guys! What do you think Apple has in store for us? Are there any specific features or technologies that you're hoping to see? Leave a comment below, and I'll make sure to get back to you with some updates before the event.
