Going about 65 is not going about 65, but that's okay. Oh go Cy, don't go too far, don't go too far - it's not the easiest thing in the world to do because the body starts to shake around quite a lot. But it's quite good fun. Okay, turn in earlier there we go oh no no no F those tires are brilliant. Must get a pair of these just for a car, just to mess around with. I can find a way to get that transition working. Might have to carry more speed through the first one. Let's try that right, let's start it a bit quicker - that's 50ish right there. Oh going need to click the outside Apex as well. Oh, I think I think they've scor me for that. Click the inside one, click the outside one. The tricky thing is this one, how do you get it to turn in? Give it a bunk, nice and early. Yeah, give it a bunk, nice and early there we go oh that's got it. That's got it. Normally, there's some kind of engine noise and TIR smoke stuff like that. This sort of thing isn't there terribly sorry. There isn't today. There's just a Le let go wost it on the straight. I think I may have damaged the back wheel. Okay, idiot, stop the play.
So, can you drift a Nissan Leaf? Well, if you put plastic tires in it, yes, you can. But two things don't really expect to compete in a drift championship, and the second thing is uh don't crash. Welcome to the F Championship here in Wales, it's pretty cool actually massively exciting. The Championships are growing quite a lot and are quite fancy. You might notice there's quite a few Nissans around because Nissan makes what 200 SX a while ago. 350 370 Z rear wheel drive Skylines have got quite a Heritage in drifting. So, I found Nissan and said look if I want to go in the British drift Championship can you lend us a car? Have you got anything that might be suitable?
And they said yeah, I think we probably sort that out. So, let's see what will be Drift. The TR so it's going to be an electric car two wheel drive with plastic rear tires. Alrighty so uh not quite the drift car we necessarily had in mind but it does have plastic back tires which is a considerable Advantage otherwise it's a genuine standard Leaf 100 horsepower electric motor front wheeel drive. I can't use the foot break because uh I can't just give it a yank of bar. Because by the time it's on, it'll be too late. So, you've just got to do it on sort of shifting the body movements around which which works reasonably well.
The British drift Championship is a giggle to watch. It's really exciting. I mean the cars they break into this first drift at about sort of 65 70 mph they carry 60 MPH through the first corner on this circuit they transition into another corner and they get points for where they put the car have to hit these clipping points so they score points for that they score points for the sort of smoothness and transition and stuff like that. And ideally, you know ideally they would sort of clip these these cones on the outside inside outside it's a bit like sort of Pony Club dressage. The official start is about here. They give it a yanker bar turn in they're be going about 65 I'm not going about 65 43 but hey that's okay oh go Cy don't go too far don't go too far it's not the easiest thing in the world to do cuz the body sh Sur around quite a lot but it is quite good fun okay turn in earlier there we go oh no no no F those tires are brilliant must get a pair of these just for a car just to mess around with I can find a way to get that transition working I might have to carry more speed through the first one I'll try that right let start it a bit quicker that's 50ish right there it goes oh going need to click the outside Apex as well oh I think I think they've scor me for that click the inside one click the outside one the tricky thing is this one how do you get it to turn in give it a bunk nice and early yeah give it a bunk nice and early there we go oh that's got it that's got it normally there's some kind of engine noise and TIR smoke stuff like that to a company this sort of thing isn't there terribly sorry there isn't today there's just a Le let go wost it on the straight I think I may have damaged the back wheel okay idiot stop the play so can you drift a Nissan Leaf well if you put plastic tires in it yes you can but two things don't really expect to compete in a drift championship and the second thing uh don't crash
