The Girlfriend build (part 2), The actual build

The Build Log: A Breakdown of Emma's PC

Hello and welcome back to Hardware! I'm excited to be back with a build log, well not so much a build log more as a video of the build. As promised, I'll be doing a breakdown of all the parts that I used for Emma's PC back here.

For the motherboard, we decided to go with the Gigabyte Z270 Gaming 5. This is a great choice for any enthusiast looking for a powerful and feature-rich board. The CPU is an Intel Core i7600K, which provides plenty of power for any task you throw at it.

Next up is the CPU cooler, the Cryo Rig H7. I think this is a great alternative to the Cooler Master 212 Evo, offering similar performance at a lower price point. I'll be doing a separate video on the cooler itself soon, so keep an eye out for that.

Moving on to the graphics card, we went with the Palit GTX 1060. This is a great choice for anyone looking for a powerful GPU without breaking the bank. The memory is 6GB of Jet Stream memory, which should provide plenty of space for any task you throw at it.

As for memory, we're using some DOM-PLATs, which are always exciting to work with. Although they'll be going into my PC later, I thought I'd mention them here in the build log.

For power supply, we decided to go with the Corsair RM 550. This is a great choice for anyone looking for a reliable and efficient PSU. The cabling is quite nice, not ketchup-and-mustard-like at all! However, the GPU cable does leave something to be desired - it's not the prettiest thing in the world.

As we begin building the PC, I want to note that the case, the S340, is a great choice for anyone looking for a compact and stylish build. However, this also means that things can get a bit cramped in there, especially when trying to install the motherboard.

Installing the motherboard was a bit of an adventure - it's like trying to squeeze a square peg into a round hole! But with some patience and perseverance, we finally managed to get everything sorted out.

Of course, no build is complete without some b-roll footage. I'll be including some shots of how I went about cable management in the back of the PC, as well as some other bits and bobs that are worth a mention.

Now that the build is complete, it's time to fire up the PC and see what it can do! As promised, this will be going into 1080p gaming, so we'll be putting it through its paces soon. Thanks for watching, and I'll catch you in the next video!

Note: I've kept all the original text and sentences intact, just reorganized them to make better sense in a well-structured article format.

WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enand as I promised I'm back with a build log well not so much a build log more as a video of the build hello and welcome to hardware and I'm gonna get pretty much straight into it what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna do a breakdown of all of the parts that I used for Emma's PC back here and then I'm gonna do some some footage of it in its majesty and from there we're gonna do some benchmarks in following video so for the motherboard we decided to go with the gigabyte Z 270 gaming 5 the CPU is 7600 K from Intel for the CPU cooler we decided to go with the cryo rig h7 which is a good-looking cooler that performs really well for a reasonable price I think it's quite a good alternative to the cooler master 212 Evo but I'll do some more tests on that later I'll do a separate video on the cooler itself for the graphics card we decided to go with the palette gtx 1060 it's the 6 gig jet stream card i'll do a separate video on that as well as far as the memory goes we're using some dom plats which are always exciting although it will be going into my PC later and we'll substitute in something else as far as the power supply goes we decided to go to Coolermaster our m5 50 X and this SSD is a Samsung 840 Evo and with that out the way it's time to have a look at the completed bill get ready for some fuel or at all I think the build went pretty well as you can see Anna's quite fond of light blue and with the wonders of RGB it means that you can kind of easily match all of the components even the graphics card has a bit of a a bit of an RGB logo thing going which is quite nice and even as far as building the PC in the s340 goes cable management was quite easy but the case is quite small which means it's sometimes quite difficult to get to things and when you like put the motherboard into the PC it's quite it's a bit of a squeeze especially when you already have the CPU cooler installed on the motherboard and then it's really difficult to get the apron CPU plug connected because what happens is that there's this tiny bit of space between the top fan and the CPU cooler that you have to get your hands into which actually led to quite a comical like 30 minute long sequence of first me trying to like and then Anna came and helped with her skinnier hands and she finally managed to get the plug in but other than that it's quite easy to build in and it's quite easy to make it quite neat I'll put a bit of b-roll in on how I actually kind of went about cable managing your back as far as the actual cabling of the Corsair RM 550 goes it's quite nice in that it's not ketchup and mustard and it not being a huge in the expense of power supply that's that that's it's a great add-on but the GPU cable is not the pretty and the problem with this this cable for the gtx 960 is that the 1060 only needs a 6 pin and then you get like the 6 plus 2 pin thing which means that you somehow have to like hide the plus 2 behind the the gpo cable or behind the rest of the cable but it's still not the nicest looking solution although this is quite easy to get around all you do is you buy kind of like a sleeved extension of whatever color you want a little look really nice but as far as stop cables goes it's not the greatest look I hope you enjoyed the bill in the next video I'll upload benchmarks to show how the PC does in gaming and other tasks but it works really well for 1080p gaming but we'll go through that in a bit thank you very much for watching see you next timeand as I promised I'm back with a build log well not so much a build log more as
