The Ultimate Canon 80D Unboxing

**Unboxing the Canon 80D: A Comprehensive Look at the Camera and Its Accessories**

I'm excited to share with you my unboxing experience with the Canon 80D, a camera that has been on my wishlist for quite some time. As I carefully open up the box, I notice that it comes with a few accessories, including a battery charger, which is always appreciated by any photographer.

The battery charger is an official Canon product, and I'm happy to see that it comes with two spare batteries, making it a great value for its price. The actual battery itself is a LP-E6N, which is a decent choice for anyone looking to expand their camera's power options. I must admit that I was excited to learn about the battery model number, as this information can be crucial when purchasing an adapter or other accessories.

Moving on to the lens, we have a Canon-branded EF-S 18-55mm lens, which is a standard kit lens found in many cameras. While it may not be the most exciting lens, I appreciate its versatility and decent image quality. The lens feels solid in my hands, and I'm looking forward to putting it through its paces on some shoots.

Next up is the camera strap, which is a nice touch from Canon. It's always important to have a comfortable strap that can distribute the weight of the camera evenly, reducing fatigue during long photo sessions. The camera itself is designed with protection in mind, featuring weather sealing and a rugged design that will withstand the rigors of outdoor shooting.

One feature that sets the 80D apart from some of its competitors is its articulating touchscreen LCD. While it may not be as large or high-resolution as some other cameras, I appreciate the ability to adjust the screen's angle for optimal viewing angles. Additionally, the camera features a range of modes and settings, including manual controls, making it an excellent choice for both beginners and experienced photographers.

I must say that I'm impressed with the 80D's feature set, which includes built-in flash, HDMI outputs, and a microphone jack. The latter is particularly exciting for me, as I plan to use this camera for video production and will be relying on the built-in mic for some shots. Speaking of video capabilities, the 80D features a built-in headphone jack, allowing me to monitor my audio in real-time.

The camera's design is also noteworthy, with a compact and lightweight body that feels comfortable in my hands. The weight is not overly heavy, which is a relief given that I often shoot for extended periods without taking breaks. On the bottom of the camera, we find the battery compartment, which is slightly larger than what I'm used to on my T4i.

Finally, the 80D comes with a range of accessories, including a remote shutter release and a card reader. The remote shutter release is convenient for minimizing camera shake and ensuring smooth exposure, while the card reader allows me to quickly transfer images from my memory cards.

Overall, I'm thoroughly impressed with the Canon 80D, and I'm excited to put it through its paces in the coming weeks and months. Whether you're a seasoned photographer or just starting out, this camera is sure to deliver excellent results.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enthis is one big ass box hello guys how are you david defranco here from davidfranco.com with one of the biggest unboxings i will ever do on my channel both literally and figuratively because this box is just massive but what's in this box is kind of funny considering its size in this box is apparently a canon 80d but i did go for a bundle which includes a tripod and a couple lenses and stuff so maybe that's why the box is so big they just grouped everything together into one huge box but you know what it makes the video even more interesting because when people see this thumbnail they're gonna be like damn son what's in that box seriously though let's open it canon 80d this is a big freaking deal don't play with scissors i've earned the canon t4i which i'm recording with right now for years actually i want to um quivets years ago for well like 20.40 basically like 90 to 95 off retail price and i'm just incredibly grateful for that but you know what between the t4i and today i've had so many cameras but i've never actually owned another dslr after the canon t4i so now that i've moved and i officially own a house that means i can spend again that means i can spend money like crazy so here we go the canon 80d apparently it's supposed to go horizontal so let's do it like this oh my god by the way i really hope i'm in focus if i'm not i apologize but one major advantage of the canon 80d is it's excellent at auto focusing also i ordered a separate lens too which is in this box hopefully and i ordered a bag which is coming on wednesday as well as two tripods which are also coming on wednesday so consider this just the beginning there we go oh my god this thing is massive well that wasn't noisy all right so first up is the canon efs 10 to 18 millimeter lens this is excellent at auto focusing and i believe it's the same exact lens that casey neistat uses so he pretty much sold me on this because i'm a big fan of his videos oh and by the way i will be using the 80d for vlogging occasionally but the main purpose of this purchase is for anything i want more creative videos photography especially now that i live in lancaster pennsylvania just the sights around here are just downright beautiful the landscapes are amazing there's a ton of history in this town alone so i'm definitely looking forward to taking advantage of the canon 80d with both video and photography so this should wait hold on oh that's right i forgot one of these these are wasabi power batteries as well as a charger get the scissors out i lost my unboxing knife it's somewhere around here i gotta find it so right now i'm using scissors not as good but you know what they get the job done so two spare batteries in my opinion you should always have at least a couple spare batteries on you and a generic charger there you go looks just like my other battery chargers power cord and some kind of adapter for my european friends it looks like i think so put that aside nothing so exciting but hey necessary right of course don't stab my new futon all right you guys okay i'm so hyped about this so originally i was just going to get the canon 80d body only and this lens but then i was thinking wait a minute i could probably save a hundred dollars or even 200 by going with a bundle and that's exactly what i did so realistically speaking there's a lot of cheap crap in here that i'll never use like a cheap tripod uh even cheap lens adapters and whatever but in the bundle you also get a telephoto lens with stabilization now i do have a telephoto lens but that does not have stabilization i got it on woot.com for a hundred dollars years ago use it maybe like once or twice because the lens sucks do not get a telephoto lens without stabilization pretty much pointless oh my god are you seeing this oh my god they were not kidding this is insane okay anyway first of all canon 80d there it is you're finally mine i'm so excited uh this does come with this stock 18 to 55 millimeter lens which isn't that fancy but you know what it never hurts uh polaroid studio series telewide travel kit interesting i'll talk about all this in a future week in vlog today's video is mainly just about the things that really matter like the camera and the lenses i bought lexar professional 32 gigabytes sd card very cool i have like eight sd cards now polaroid rc6 wireless remote shutter release very nice polaroid universal lcd screen protector polaroid 50 inch 127 millimeter tripod model number pl tr150 i'll probably give this to someone if they want it i don't know maybe give it to my mom because she also has a camera usb multi-function sd micro sd card reader which is actually very useful if you have the new macbook pro this is not usbc but if you get an adapter you plug it in because unfortunately the new macbook pro does not have an sd card reader i'll talk about that in a future video polaroid studio series pro slave flash i don't even know this came with it because you know what the picture in amazon just has like all these accessories bundled together so this is kind of like christmas uh five piece camera cleaning kit okay polaroid as well as you can tell this is mostly polaroid so shout out to polaroid if you guys want to get on board as a sponsor let me know seriously uh polaroid four piece multi-coated camera lens filter kit another lexar professional 32 gigabyte card so 64 gigs of storage in total a camera bag from ritz gear photo sling pack not bad for trips my god this is insane a level polaroid camera strap and this is the bonus lens that came with the bundle canon efs 50 to 250 millimeter telephoto lens and it does have stabilization i made sure it gets a little switch right there on the side of the lens awesome so between this the stock lens you know the kit 18 to 55 millimeter and this the canon efs 10 to 18 millimeter which by the way is is stm meaning it's pretty much silent as hell not perfectly silent but extremely silent when auto focusing for video so if you have a dslr and you're looking for a lens that autofocuses instantly and very very very quietly definitely check out this lens actually you know what i'll link this right below this right below and of course the canon 80d now the video is not over we're still kind of just getting started so let's open up the canon 80d and see what we have inside a lot of documentation as always my god cannon save a tree much that's insane in my opinion you should just put this online by the fall and if you really want a manual you can call up support email support and request one that's just me but hey it's okay it's okay no hate all right let's get to the stuff that really matters oh you do get a battery charger okay so i don't technically need that wasabi battery charger this is an official canon battery charger but i do not regret that purchase because that battery charger came with two spare batteries so now i have three batteries as of today speaking of batteries here is the battery itself for those curious i will read off the battery model number because i feel that's very important when looking for an adapter that's compatible with said battery so this is the canon lp dash e6n awesome all right this is the kit lens 18 to 55 millimeter nothing special but it's always good to have and actually i'm using the 18 to 55 millimeter lens on my canon t4i right now and you know what it doesn't look bad guys i mean it gets the job done it's nothing fancy so nothing wrong with it canon branded lens trap or camera strap and of course the canon 80d itself lots of protection which is always good this is nice it's finally mine and the screen does articulate which is incredibly important to me the t4i does it so canon's been having this kind of functionality for years incredibly incredibly important a little screen up top which this camera does not have touch screen obviously the dial with all the different modes and jump cut i hit my limit so yeah i mean we got all these different buttons all these different modes you got a shoe adapter up top built in flash which i don't know how often i'll be using especially considering i got this in the bundle the polaroid studio series pro sleeve flash uh model number pl asf-18 i don't know how good this is but i'm sure it's better than the onboard flash so this is going to be very nice we got usb connections on the side hdmi outs headphones microphone microphone i'll be using all the time by the way i also ordered a rode videomic go i'm currently using the rode videomic pro great mic i've had it for years but i want to try something different and because the rode video might go is powered directly by the camera itself that means there is zero chance of forgetting to turn on the power switch and i apologize for the noise in the background they're doing work across the street but you know what i think that makes it more interesting yeah all right so on the bottom here we have remote for that shutter release accessory that came in the bundle card reader on the side single card i'll be using one of my many sd cards battery compartment on the bottom if i can get it open there you go oh much bigger battery compartment that i'm used to with my t4i at least it appears bigger so there you go i'm not going to go too in depth but i got to say the weight isn't bad at all now of course adding a lens to the camera is going to add a little bit of weight that's just basic physics and basic mathematics and all that but i gotta say i'm surprised at how light this camera is i honestly expected it to be a little heavier and that's a good thing because you don't want your hand getting tired when you're out there shooting getting video and all that stuff so guys there you go my unboxing of the canon 80d bundle and actually with that said i'm going to link the bundle right below as well as just the body and just the lenses so if you want to go my route and buy the bundle you can do that or if you want to just buy the body only you can do that as well and just saying christmas it's right around the corner so this could be a great gift for yourself or for someone else in your life so they have it canon 80d unboxing this is a lot of fun it's like christmas in november seriously this is like one of the most fun unboxings i've ever done and plus it's my first official unboxing in this house the other house we did um munchpak but that doesn't count alright guys thank you so much for watching if you have any questions about the canon edd let me know right below i'm happy to answer them thank you so much for your support and i will see you in my next video peace youthis is one big ass box hello guys how are you david defranco here
