Sony Xperia M Camera Review with Samples

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhi there this is Ranjit from tech Tabasco and I have the Sony Xperia M and in this video we're going to look at the camera performance the rear-facing camera is a 5 megapixel shooter we have an LED flash and it can also do video recording up to 720p HD and the front-facing camera is a VGA camera I tested the front-facing camera with the Skype video calls and I would say it does a decent job and I have taken a lot of photographs and videos with red facing camera I'll show you all of them a bit later but first let me show you the camera interface that we get with this one and it takes a couple of seconds for the camera to load as you can see took about two seconds and let me place this Xperia over here and you do get this tap to focus functionality like this and if hit this one it takes the snap it's not the quickest it's not instant but takes half a second to take the snaps and let me show you the options it offers and if you see we have the normal mode at this setting and the max it can take it is 5 megapixel you can switch to the media camera via this and let me show you the video settings as I mentioned in video the max it can record is 720p HD that's 2 led by 720p resolution you can go down to VGA or qvg if you would like and for the photographs the max is 5 megapixel but at 5 megapixel the aspect ratio is 4 by 3 if you want widescreen you have to go down to 3 megapixel and we do even get modes like HDR and we do get this focus mode as I mentioned single autofocus touch to focus you can also adjust the exposure value if you want image stabilization option is also there let's enable that and in terms of functionality as sony has provided a lot of options but I would say the camera performance was just mediocre in my testing and let me show you the sample shots that I took this is the one that we took right now and you can see it's okay but it's not great we'll show you all these photographs that I took in full-screen mode so that you'll have a better idea regarding the camera performance of this Xperia M thus pictures were shot with the rear-facing camera of the Sony Xperia M and I would say that's ok job and the color accuracy is good but do not that the pictures are a little bit soft they're not very sharp somehow pictures that were shot outdoors and I would say how does it does a decent job but not spectacular hi this is Ranjith and we are recording this video with the sony xperia m at the highest resolution possible that's 720p HD and the audio that you're hearing is also being recorded by this phone I've enabled the image stabilization option also walking around silicon-28 today just keep the phone static like this and is slowly tanana well this is my roof turn and you're just going to walk back now so this should give you an idea about media recording capabilities with the sony xperia em out doors and now these pictures were shot and completely artificial light in my office and here the weakness of the camera shows actually the pictures are a little bit soft and also they can get a bit blurry at times and there is also quite a bit of noise in the pictures and artificial light this picture is taken without the flash and I notice a tendency that this phone does not fire the flash and here I forced the flash and the flash is kind of overpowering when you force it now I'm recording this video in completely artificial light with the Xperia M in my office and let's see how it performs focusing is not very tight it looks like that I'll soon be unboxing this net Kader Wi-Fi router also again as you can see it's not very quick at autofocusing bring it near the go back that's how it is this is one more year phones by Sony I'll try to post the unboxing video this is the Xperia m4 SATs f looks like it does have trouble we are doing good autofocus II in completely artificial light so this gives you an idea how the Xperia m4 forms in the video Department in completely artificial light so what do I feel about the camera performance of the Sony Xperia am I would say outdoors the rear facing camera thats a 5 megapixel shooter does OK job outdoors when you have natural lighting in artificial light the camera shows its weaknesses and image turns out to be little bit soft and also noise creeps and also as I said the flash is has its own behavior when I enabled it it was overpowering and many times when I thought the flash would far automatically it did not fire so I would say outdoors and national lightning it does okay job but indoors the camera performance is very very average coming to the video here I was actually disappointed and if you've seen the video that we took indoors it had a hard time doing auto focusing so if you are a person who likes to take a lot of videos then I would not suggest that because even though it says that the video quality is 720p HD the video quality was very soft so I would say the for static pictures outdoor it's ok is nothing great but for videos I would not recommend it I'll also be doing a full in-depth review for this phone very soon so if you aren't subscribed to my youtube channel subscribe to the C that's it for now this is Ron G that I hope to see you in my next video youhi there this is Ranjit from tech Tabasco and I have the Sony Xperia M and in this video we're going to look at the camera performance
